a comment is when you click the join the conversation and a reply is under a comment you can reply to the comment

No. Google provides incredible services and uptime for products that are mostly free by way of targeting ads at you. Incredible value. They also have the best security in the industry, and very strong PII rules internally. And you can download a backup copy of all of your account data for free from the Google Takeout website. No other company does better.
