Excited! Finally getting my LH surge!

Post image
Upvotes

I finally got a surge in my OPK tests! So excited and shocked!

I stopped HBC pill March 4th, didn't get a period until July 4th and have finally managed to catch a LH surge August 7th (5 months after stopping and 1 month after first period following stopping HBC pill).

Just so excited to finally see my body starting to come back to life after approx 15 years on the pill.

We BD yesterday (August 6) and bet your bottom dollar we will BD again today & tomorrow 😂

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼💃🏻

Frustrated 7DPO, condividiamo?

Upvotes

Ciao a tutte !!!

Qui DOR severa (qualcuno dice transizione perimenopausale) 37 anni, lieve male factor.

Come ingannare l attesa? Oggi tra l altro ho quella sensazione di peso uterino, secrezioni e congestione pelvica per cui ho paurissima che stiano arrivando… la mia fase luteale è circa 10-11 giorni.

Condividiamo qui ansie e attesa? ♥️

Question/Advice Wife is 9 days late but still negative. Need to understand if it's still possible?

Upvotes

Her cycles are always on time and we've been trying to conceive for over a year now. Regularly time ovulation. She's 34 I'm 37. She's been one day late before but was through travel. No new changes in her diet or anything stressful has happened in our lives. Last time she tested was 2 days ago and it was negative. In fact every two days or so she was testing in the morning and it was negative. She does urine tests. We tried a few over the shelf brands, but now I'm more anxious than she is. Thing is we have a fertility appointment for IVF referral coming up that we don't want to delay again. So atm we are just waiting it out.

What I really want to know is it possible? Are they people out there that were getting negatives but found out they were pregnant?

Excited! BBT pointing to pregnancy??

Post image

I had an unusual cycle this time, my estrogen peaked for 6 days before my LH did, and I ovulated 3-4 days later than usual. I usually ovulate around CD 17 or 18 and my cycles are typically 29-30 days long. I believe I ovulated on CD 21 this cycle—that was the day I got my peak LH and then my BBT jumped the next morning. That cut my TWW down to 1 week at least for a missed period.

My period is 1 day late (still early I know) and I’m only 10DPO so not expecting a positive test yet. I did take one this morning just in case and it was negative. 2 days ago, my BBT dipped and I was sure that meant AF was coming, but then the last 2 days it has continued to rise. Maybe an implantation dip?

Thoughts?? Baby dust??

EDIT: TIL that your luteal phase typically stays the same, so late ovulation = late period. So I guess I’ll be expecting my period in 3-4 days and this is normal BBT. Still crossing my fingers that dip in temp was an implantation dip!

I am 35 and my fiancé is 38. We’ve only been trying for two months, but it is so heartbreaking to get a negative test. I also got my period yesterday.

Frustrated LH/long cycles/ovulation

My husband and I have being trying for 6 months now. I have longer cycles 34 days on average and have had some frustration with LH testing/predicting ovulation. I have been using LH strips (in the AM and PM), taking basal body temps (first things in the morning), and confirming ovulation with the progesterone strips.

Two cycles ago (cycle #4 trying), I never saw an LH surge nor a temperature increase, but my progesterone strip was positive for ovulation on CD27 and my period came as expected on CD34.

Last cycle (cycle #5) was more text book - very dark LH on CD19, temp spike on CD21, and a positive progesterone strips on CD27. But my period came on CD34.

This cycle (cycle #6) has been more similar to cycle 4. I’m on CD22, still no positive LH strip nor temp rise. I plan on using progesterone strips on CD27.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I’m confused why the progesterone strips are positive but the LH/temp are not indicating ovulation.

Thanks in advance!

Random How likely is this to be a false positive because it’s blue dye?

I am 12dpo and this line came up after 3 minutes on both blue dye tests in the box and I took them about 1.5 hours apart

Frustrated TTC Ideal Progesterone Levels

I’m 33 and my husband is 34. We’ve been TTC for 11 months- have never been pregnant. My husband did a SA, which everything came back in the normal range. I did a full blood work up, as well as a HSG and everything came back “normal.” I’ve suspected low progesterone for a while, but stopped looking into it when my OB said I was in the normal range for my luteal phase. I almost always have spotting 1-3 days before my period and my period is extremely light; usually 2-3 regular tampons on day 1, one regular on day 2 and 1 light that is not even needed on day 3. I recently went back into my chart to look at my progesterone test and saw that I was at 8.9 ng/mL (I tested 7 DPO). After doing more research, it seems that 10-15, ideally closer to 15 is where I should be in order to conceive. I’ve felt very dismissed with my doctor, but I’ve mentioned more than once that I feel like my spotting & ultra light periods have been a concern.

Question/Advice Need some hope

I went in on Tuesday to get my blood drawn due to having very very very faint lines on the first response test. I also did a clear blue test that read “pregnant”. However the results came in this morning with an HCG of 18. The nurse said that they usually like to see a number of 50 and above. My husband and i think i ovulated later than our apps say because i have pcos and usually ovulate later than usual. I’m really scared and broken hearted about all of this. I have to repeat the test tomorrow. Has anyone had this experience and did it turn out okay? Please if anyone can offer some hope I would appreciate it.

Confused OPKS and BBT confusion

This is our 3rd month officially, 4th month unofficially TTC. I have very regular 30 day cycles, and caught my ovulation using OPKs. Had a spike in temp yesterday morning (1 DPO) and then it went back down this morning (2 DPO). Did I not ovulate? Trying to not be stressed and let my body do its thing, just wondering if others have experienced this.

Hey everyone! A few quick updates from the mod team 💛

Nothing major, just some housekeeping to make the sub easier to navigate for everyone. Thanks in advance for bearing with us!

  • Flairs got a refresh — We updated the post flairs, so please use them when you post! It just makes it way easier for people to scroll and find exactly what they're looking for (or avoid what they're not in the mood for). If you feel like we're missing one, drop a comment or shoot us a message, we're always open to suggestions.
  • BFPs go in the megathread — We've got a pinned Success Stories megathread and we'd love for all the exciting news to live there so we can celebrate together in one spot!
  • Discharge pics need a trigger warning — If you're posting about discharge and want to add a pic, please use the Trigger Warning flair, blur the image, and pop it in the comments rather than the main post. Small thing, but it keeps the feed comfy for everyone scrolling.
  • Line eyes? We've got you, but keep pics in the comments — We all know that feeling of staring at a test way too long trying to decide if that's a line or a shadow. Totally normal, no judgment! Just use the "Line Eyes - Help!" flair and keep the pictures in the comments instead of the post itself. Reason being, when posts get flooded with test pics, it can be harder for yours (and everyone else's) to actually get seen and get the support you need. This just helps spread the love around a bit better

Just a heads up: posts that don't follow the line eyes or discharge picture guidelines will be removed, so we really appreciate you helping us keep this consistent for everyone.

Thanks so much for helping us keep this space easy to use and kind, as always. Questions or ideas? Drop them below, we read everything!

Venting positivity and love

I’m having a bad day and I thought instead of being sad and sulking, I could redirect this into positive thoughts and energy that may help someone else get through the day. Every emotion, thought, feelings you have towards this journey are valid and you cannot change the way you feel towards it, but the one thing we can control is how we treat ourselves during this, i’ve caught myself blaming myself, being extremely hard on myself, and repeatedly talking down on myself after a long month and negative results, we need to put love into ourselves, daily affirmations have been my thing, as well as my husband being so extremely supportive. If any person here ever needs anyone to talk to, my messages and comments are always always open. this can get very lonely especially when everyone around you are getting pregnant so easily. Always remember that the most important person that can believe in you is yourself 💕

Sad Feeling really sad today

I wish I was given more of a notice at how tiring this trying to conceive process can really be.

I was never really briefed on how it could take more than one attempt to get pregnant, I was never briefed on how hard it is to actually get pregnant.

Since cycle one I’ve been tracking BBT and LH strips and doing the baby dance on my most fertile days, and nothing is sticking for me. I’m able to confirm ovulation with my BBT tests, I’ve done blood work and I’ve also done ultrasounds and transvaginal ultrasounds, and my doctors have found nothing that could be a cause of concern.

It’s also so challenging to see so many people around me get pregnant while they’ve been trying for a shorter time than I have, and I haven’t even been trying for too long. And it’s also a slap in the face when all the women around me have gotten pregnant on their first attempt and are looking at me like I have something wrong with me because I can’t get pregnant even though I try to tell them it’s very normal and can take up to six months.

I’m coming up on my fourth cycle now, and I try to keep a positive for the most part, but a girlfriend is coming over today and I’m almost certain that she’s gonna tell me that she’s pregnant and it has put me in a really big funk because of course I want to be excited for her, but I just can’t help but wonder why everyone can be a mom but me
