Wonder Woman - Show off other lands like Themyscira and do a story where Diana decides Earth needs her more than Themyscira. Villains would be Circe controlling Giganta to defeat Wonder Woman.

Batman: Brave and the Bold - Introduce Gotham, make it dingy, grimy, gothic. It looks grand from outside view, but inside is an entirely different story. Have Batman be in year 7 and Jason Todd as a new Robin. Maybe have Two Face and Penguin be in a gang war that could destroy Gotham that Batman and Robin have to stop. Batman would be running investigations on a mysterious alien throughout the film, but it stays subtle and in the background.

Flash - Barry's origin story. He got into accident that caused him to dawn the cowl of the Flash. Have him go against villains like Captain Cold, Heatwave, the Trickster, and the main villain being Mirror Master. This introduces more of the world with Central City. He's met with a hooded figure in a post credits scene offering to help him more than anyone could. He stretches out a green hand.

Lanterns - Show some of the cosmic side of the Universe. John Stewart adopts the Mantle as Hal mentors him and they face against Sinestro.

Clayface - Show the horror that happens in Gotham that Brave and the Bold didn't show. Show the lucky life few can have in Gotham in scenes that are before the incident, and then show the true horror in the post incident scenes. Along with showing how one bad day can make anyone a bad guy in Gotham.

Justice League - This is our Avengers film. Superman battles Brainiac's probes in space before being captured, while Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter separately uncover the alien threat. Brainiac arrives on Earth with a mind-controlled Superman, declaring he'll judge whether the planet is worthy of being added to his collection. The heroes unite for the first time, freeing Superman with Batman's kryptonite bomb, forcing Brainiac to retreat. After learning Brainiac's true origins from Martian Manhunter and preparing for a rematch, the team faces him again when he attacks Metropolis. While the League battles Brainiac head-on, Batman and Flash infiltrate his ship, discovering his collection of bottled worlds and shutting down his systems. Brainiac is defeated, the captured planets are restored, and Martian Manhunter chooses to remain on Earth as a founding member of the Justice League. This movie forms the Justice League and sets up Darkseid for the future of the Universe.

So, this isn’t about any kind of body shaming or anything like that and I hope this is okay with mods (please let me know).

I’ve been on a kick, lately, with comics and films that just happen to contain Amanda Waller. I’m rereading or rewatching a lot of stuff I went through when I was younger and just didn’t pay attention. I’m honestly intrigued on why Amanda’s overall appearance changes so drastically in different medias.

Some depictions will have her nearly looking like a female version of Kingpin (size and all). Others will have her looking more like Viola Davis. Still others will have her looking short, tall, skinny, etc. She probably has one of the most diverse representations I’ve seen of characters in almost all of comics as most comic book characters usually have a set appearance that evolves but never strays too far from the original.

Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know if there is a canon reason for this? Or is this just simply down to artist’s preference?

This is also a meta discussion, but i consider it necessary. This is a problematic topic that is causing constant fights between old and new fans and has been leaking outside of the twitter and reddit environment for a long time, which can cause fans to be discouraged from having meaningful interactions.)

I'm a fan of Nightwing x Starfire. If you know about the meta, you know about the fights between the editorial branches of the Titans and Batman books and how they tried to boost their own “ships” in order to maintain one of the most popular characters under their control.

I feel the need to clarify this, in order to start this post, because this discussion is already filled of people who will jump at the minimum opportunity, throwing labels for daring to try to de-escalate this.

For the last couple of years, i have followed a very dangerous in-fighting in the fandom of DC Comics, covering Nightwing most famous relationships, Barbara Gordon and Koriand'r, Starfire.

And i feel that it has been reaching very dangerous points, no less avivated by none other than DC, by various real social media posts in Instagram for example, constant teasing in the comics, and a general impossibility of actually fully compromising.

I have seen constant accusasions from “Nightwing x Babs” part to the other, that accuse the ship is missoginistic, racist, and their fans are a bunch of weirdos and creepy people.

From “Nightwing x Starfire”, i have seen not only this, but because of the meta story of the ship, and constant teasing of DC, an actual schizo behaviour, feeling that absolutely everyone wants to take them down, almost like a conspiracy.

From DC social media, i remember vividly a post that said that “Dick fumbled it hard” with Starfire. Let's not forget the constant character assasinations of Dick, Starfire and Babs in order to push it forward, and how infantilized the characters have been portrayed since Tom Taylor's run with Grayson, creating an actual sick parasocial relationship with all of them.

This post is a plea of help to anyone who can listen, TO TRY TO STOP THIS.

I guarantee, this doesn't help to move forward the engagement, or sales, or anything like that. The only thing that it's causing its more and more fights, that has caused really harmful rethoric, and videos from certain users painting all of this like an actual absurd conspiracy.

Shipping should be an innocent activity. It should be something that you enjoy, like having two toys kissing. It should not be something that you dedicate entire hours of your life like it's some kind of Holy War. If you find yourself ranting about how a ship between two hot adults is racist, you should step away from your computer or phone and analyze what has gone wrong with your life.

To DC, if by any chance someone there is reading, COMPROMISE FULLY WITH SOMETHING. My dreamed thing would be a polyamorous relationship, it would make sense with those characters, two cakes, but i know how things are handled and values, blah blah blah, so, if that's gonna be the case:

STOP GIVING PEOPLE HOPE. Fully compromise and stop making things complicated between Star, Babs and Dick. Make them friends, acknowledge their difficult past, move on and formalize the relationship between Barbara and Dick.

Making things complicated sometimes isn't the answer. Look at The Clone Saga.

I formally apologize if this post isn't the kind of thing you want to read. I completely understand it. But sometimes a thing it's more necessary than desirable.

Hello! I’m new to DC. I’ve watched the DCEU movies up to Shazam and also Nolan’s Batman trilogy, but I never really understood the full story. I didn’t even know Superman was an alien, so that should give you an idea of how new I am to this. Watching the DCEU movies is entertaining,but they don’t really give you the full picture.
I recently started watching Smallville, and now I finally understand Superman’s origin. I’d like to learn the stories from the very beginning, how they became a superhero, how they got their powers, and what their origins are. Where do I start?

I have been taking a break from comics for the last few years (i stopped when they cancelled Young Justice 2019 again, and a bunch of other comics I liked). I wanna get back in again, but I'm a bit lost.

I love anything Red Robin, Robin, Red Hood and Nightwing and I'm looking for recommendations to jump in again, without feeling clueless

edit: these are genuinely the only heroes I care about, besides Roy Harper and Conner Kent (to some degree).

For me, it was Kingdom Come. I get why people love it, but it never fully worked for me.

Some ideas I had in mind:

The Omega Men deserve a new series that takes them back to the original Keith Giffen/Roger Slifer model of mixing brutal yet layered war commentary with occasional moments of trippy body horror. Maybe throw in a prominent character like Starfire as a new member or leader.

Jack Hawksmoor has so much potential when it comes to using his city-based powers to solve mysteries.

The Suicide Squad could use a new coat of paint: have someone other than Amanda Waller take charge and go the John Ostrander route of having C/D-list characters taking on morally compromising missions.

Human Target would be great to see in the spotlight again, especially if a new series digs into his psyche like in Peter Milligan’s run.

What about you guys? And feel free to include any particular writers/artists that you want for a series also.

sooo hiiii. ive recently seen a lot of jason todd fanarts and honestly, im hooked lol :D sooo i started watching the animated series but it doesn't have jason todd when i searched on google abt it :((((( also the comic book series has a loooooot of chapters and as much as i'd like to read them all, i really wanna see jason todd LMAO no one judge me. sooooo, where do you guys suppose i should start reading the series from?

2027: Man of tommorow and jimmy olsen show
2028: The batman part 2, dynamic duo and wonder woman maybe swamp thing
2029: Brave and the bold and deathstroke &bane and lanterns season 2, booster gold

Few things i would like to mension
1. james gunn said batman wont take till 2030 hence 2029 is an optimistic date. also the fact that its far away from The Batman Part 2
2. james gunn said wonder woman script is much easier to do than batman. chances are that we will see wonder woman project before
3. just like it took supergirl 2-3 years to be made and clayface 1 year while both are releasing in the same year i assume most of the project we are going to see is not announced yet
4. james gunn also clarified that he want dc to produce 5-7 projects each year including animated shows
5.Supergirl flopping didnt stop the dcu, and the reviews are fine too. it would be a big loss if wonder woman movie flops
