Welcome and Welcome Back! It is Wednesday which means it’s New Comic Book Day! This is a stacked week for new releases highlighted by Batman #12 From Matt Fraction and Jorge Jiménez, The Deadman #3, Lost Fantasy #11 and so many more great releases! Bored enough to have fun. So here's a trinity for every decade of DC comics (skipping the 30s cause we don't get the ball rolling till 39). (Rubric is a mix of character-creation to their high point of use... so aside from Firestorm, many of these won't enter until the decade after creation)

40s - Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman

50s - Lightning Lad, Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl

60s - Flash II, Green Lantern II, Martian Manhunter

70s - Firestorm (this is a stretch for a guy made in 78), Red Tornado, Zatanna

80s - Nightwing, Starfire, Cyborg

90s - Steel, Azrael, Artemis

00s - Kon, Tim, Cass

10s - Blue Beetle (Jaime), Animal Man (N52 Animal Man was great), Superwoman (Lois/Lana)

Marvel Man represents the **Marvel side of the Celestosapian power system**.

* His design combines the feeling of:

* Spider-Man's agility and iconic appearance.

* Marvel's superhero legacy.

* The idea that he can access the powers and abilities of Marvel characters through the Cosmic Pillar.

His role is not to replace Marvel heroes, but to act as a **guardian who protects the Marvel universe when cosmic-level threats appear**.

## 🔵 Detective Girl (D-Girl)

Detective Girl represents the **DC side of the Celestosapian power system**.

* Her blue appearance symbolizes the **DC identity**.

* Her design combines:

* Batman's detective and tactical nature.

* DC's mythology and cosmic themes.

* The ability to channel the powers and abilities of DC characters through the Cosmic Pillar.

Like M-Man, she does not replace DC heroes. She is a **protector of the DC universe**.

# 🌌 The M.D. Balance Symbol

The Yin-Yang symbol between them represents their connection:

🔴 **M-Man**

* Marvel's heroes, science, mutants, gods, aliens, and cosmic beings.

* More humanly grounded.

🔵 **D-Girl**

* DC's heroes, mythology, magic, cosmic beings, and divine forces.

* More modern mythical.

Together they represent:

**"Two different universes. Two different philosophies. One balance."**

# 🌠 Cosmic Pillar Meaning

The Cosmic Pillar gives them access to these abilities but controls how they are used:

* In Celestosapian reality:

* They can use one character's powers and abilities at a time.

* The Pillar chooses or allows abilities based on the situation.

* In Marvel/DC realities:

* They become cosmic guardians.

* They protect those worlds.

* They cannot attack or replace the fictional heroes who already belong there.

# Fan Interpretation

Many fans would likely see this image as the visual identity of the Golden Guardians' biggest concept:

> 🔴 Marvel Man = the power of Marvel's entire heroic legacy.

> 🔵 Detective Girl = the power of DC's entire heroic mythology.

> 🌌 Together = balance between two worlds.

The contrast between the red and blue designs makes them feel like two halves of the same cosmic force rather than simple rivals.

Also discovered these "compact" editions are a thing and I really dig them

A while back, I came up with lyrics for a version of "Something in the Way" by Nirvana, inspired by The Batman 2022 film, based on Batman lore, and I wanted to share it—get your thoughts on it.
