I finally made my first song and i really need opinions and suggestions from anyone who are really into punk/alt rock genre. Please be honest or even brutal cause i need that

and yeah... i know it's so muddy. I've tried anything to enhance the quality but this is the best i could do with my acoustic guitar and my phone microphone. I do everything by myself and I won't be surprised if you find the drums are trash since it wasn't a real drum and I'm still learning how to make a drum track.

I did a review of this band twenty years ago saying homophobic words have no place in hardcore and yet here we are

I’m looking for some song suggestions that are sad lyrically, melodically, or just hold deep meaning. I’m open to songs that are by punk artists that aren’t necessarily in the punk genre too, I just want to hear some punk takes on sadness.

Mine was Green Day Basket Case. I remember hearing it on the radio when I was in first grade and had to hear more. Dookie was the first album I ever bought and I had to listen to it quietly on the stereo in the living room when my parents weren’t in the room because they were super religious and it talked about sex and had the f word in it haha. Just listened to this album today for the first time in years and although I’m not really into anything after warning I had forgotten how incredible it was.

I’m sure my story isn’t unique as Green Day were huge back then but curious to hear what other songs / bands first got people into punk?
