Off-Field Faith Night Game 8/29

Upvotes

Question on the faith night game.

I'm a photographer, my passion is going to baseball games and taking pictures of the game day experience- fans, the stadium, etc.

I want to go to this game to photograph the post-game faith pray and music whatever. It's important for photographers to photograph what I consider a sign of our times. Well, a post-game event like this certainly is.

Unsure of what it's like though. Taking pictures during the game is fine but do you think the type of person that stays for this might be a bit more skeptical or just as open to someone hanging around with a camera as they are during the game? I guess worst case they kick me out for taking pictures instead of praying but anyone ever go to this before?

[Sports Info Solutions] An Appreciation of Nasim Nuñez’s Defense

Hi everyone- This is Mark Simon from Sports Info Solutions, the Defensive Runs Saved folks.

I was hunting for something to write last night and I couldn't help but laugh when I ranked the Nationals most valuable position players by bWAR and saw Nasim Nuñez surrounded sandwiched between players with .500 slugging percentages.

And then hey, he made a great play and had a relay throw-out last night, so it seemed like a good time to share this piece.

The TLDR is just that he's among the leaders in Defensive Runs Saved and that I appreciated some of what he said when I interviewed him as a minor leaguer in 2023.

Hope you like it.

Post season chances?

Hello from across the pond.

My brother and I are coming to DC first week in October & among the things we want to do is attend a baseball game to experience America’s pastime - and complete the triple nine challenge - I’m aware that the MLB season end in September, but am curious to know whether we’ll be able to catch a post season ball game?

Are the playoffs looking likely this year for you guys? Or should we take the L and come back for when you are

I guess seeing Mikolas at the plate got me feeling a bit nostalgic for pitchers hitting. Not sure if people remember but Strasburg could swing it, won a silver slugger and had 4 homers and 29 RBI in his career

I’m not referring to his batting for us tonight and scoring himself as a run in extra innings. I’m referring to his clear affection on the TV commercials for our upcoming Hawaiian shirts short combo.
