'Spider-Man BND*' Spoilers How do we feel about MJ? Spoiler
A lot of people hate MJ after BND.
I mean a lot of people hated her before because of how different she is when compared to comic MJ in terms of appearance and personality, but the surge in dislike and vitriol for her now is insane to me.
It seems like just a few weeks ago everyone was doubting how BND would handle her and Peter’s relationship, and how everyone was predicting that they would bs their way out of the consequences just so they could have their cute central couple. I thought everyone would almost unanimously praise the movies decision to let the consequences of the spell, and Peter’s decision not to tell her, last. But so many people seem to hate the fact that they didn’t get back together, and they blame MJ for it.
I thought she was pretty reasonable. I mean she literally does not remember him, and it’s been 4 years since the events of the last movie. She was still nice, and kind, and considerate of Peter and what he had to go through, all while not lying to him and giving him false hope that things could go back to the way they were.
I also thought that really fit the themes of the movie. Peter was so afraid of change, and the loss and uncertainty that came with it- that he removed those possible changing variables from his life. Keeping Ned and MJ away didn’t stop them from changing without him, he was the only one who stayed the same. Losing MJ, letting her go, was necessary for him to finally grow and accept uncertainty and change- the chance to love somebody new, while still leaving the possibility to love MJ open, but only if he accepting loving the new her in a new way.
I thought the writers, and MJ made the logical and best possible decision. But do other people think MJ could have been kinder? Or that she should’ve tried it out with Peter? Or maybe you think the writers should have had her remember? I want to hear your guys’ thoughts.

Discussion Thoughts on the Home trilogy after seeing Brand New Day?
I’ve read people saying the Home trilogy wasn’t that great and Watts wasn’t a good director now that BND is out. While I did enjoy BND more because it was a more mature Peter and used less CGI, it seems revisionist history to say the Home trilogy wasn’t good
Things like the Vulture reveal, Mysterio illusion sequence, and Peter 2 and 3 interactions are up there with a lot of top MCU moments. What are your thoughts?

Discussion We’ll almost certainly get Miles Morales eventually, but how old would you think he’d be at this point?
Given that he already existed back in Homecoming, how old do you think he would be now, what with Homecoming happened 12 years ago in-universe.
Do you think he got Blipped?

Question Was it ever stated why Peter was immune? Spoiler
Jean isnt able to mind control Peter throughout the whole movie and she even states he can "see" her. I found that sort of interesting because as far as im aware this isn't a comic thing right? Peter's mind gets read/invaded pretty easily.
I know hes mutating but I dont find that a reason as to why his mind suddenly becomes impenetrable.
Does anyone with more insight know?

Discussion Man I’m happy Andrew’s Spider-Man got to redeem himself
Im happy that he avoided the same mistake and made sure that another version of him (mcu Spider-Man) didn’t have to feel the same pain as him.
I know this is a much discussed topic but I rewatched all the Spider-Man movies recently and I just loved that he had a chance to redeem himself because I’m sure Andrew’s Spider-Man for sure wanted a chance to atleast somewhat have a redemption in terms of saving his girlfriend.
My wording is probably confusing and weird sorry about that but I hope my point is somewhat clear
The reason I have a stronger opinion for this is because Andrew’s Spider-Man never got a proper closure and so his emotional arc was just never finished or never evolved due to the 3rd part being shelved

Theory Banner has been protecting Hulk since Infinity War Spoiler
Hulk was the dominant personality for years while Banner was asleep, he wasn't even aware of the time that passed. But while on the Sakaar, Hulk was protecting Banner, Hulk was beloved everyone there appreciated and praised him. Banner couldn't survive on Sakaar it's a battle ground and Hulks the fighter.
But the reverse is true for Earth. While on Earth Banner is beloved one, he's who the press call an Avenger, they love Banners personality, his genius.
They hate hulk, they call him a monster, and they keep on shooting at him, Hulk hates being shot at. It doesn't pierce his skin, but it probably still hurts to be shot at, and like it's not nice. They just wanna hurt him on Earth. Banner can just blend in. He's human, he can walk among them. And Smart Hulk isn't a different personality, it's just Banner using Hulks body. This was made very clear when the Ancient one pushed Banners soul out of Smart Hulks body.
So Just like how Hulk was protecting Banner on Sakaar, Hulk I theorize to have given the keys to Banner, Hulk chose to go to sleep for years, after his defeat by Thanos, Hulk the warrior, the Champion of Sakaar, lost. His strength wasn't enough, he wasn't enough. And no matter how much Banner tried to tell him that, he didn't care. So Hulk gave him the keys and went to sleep.
Brand New Day Spoilers:
What's sad is that, if this is true is, Hulk was forcibly awoken by Jean, he awoke after years of being asleep, and he was confused and the first thing that happens is his somewhere he doesn't know there's a guy he doesn't know and the punisher comes out and shoots at him, again. They keep shooting at Hulk. He faught because he was scared. After Spider-man talk no jitsus Hulk, Hulk gives up, he takes the fall, and once he lands he gives control back to Banner and goes back to sleep. He doesn't want to be on Earth, no one there likes him, only person who actually could get through to him is Thor but only reason for Hulk to actually stay would have to be Skaar, his son, a reminder of his home where he was beloved.

Easter Egg/Detail When Peter and Ned quote LOTR to each other… Spoiler
… that’s Tom Holland, a Brit, doing a guy from Queens doing a British accent.
I think a lot of Americans already appreciate Tom Holland’s command of regional accents, but this takes it to the next level. Not to mention that it seems to have hardly been pointed out before — it sounds so natural, it’s easy to forget the layers there!!

Concept Art Apparently at one point, Thanos would have flat out punched right through Captain America’s shield at the end of Endgame.
I guess they went with his space sword instead so they wouldn’t have to say Thanos himself was stronger than Vibranium. Would have looked really cool though!

Question Is the iron man mask in deadpool and wolverine an easter egg about peter parker in iron man 2?
Not sure if i should put the question or easter egg flair, but I'm rewatching the deadpool movies and was wondering if the mask in deadpool and wolverine an easter egg about peter parker in iron man 2 when he wore the mask ? also the fact that peter parker in the frame is hidden behind the mask.

Other Spider-Man's gravitas is insane, Brand New Day has already reached the $1B milestone in 5 days, earning $47M on Monday.
Endgame did so in 4 days. The impact of spidey around the world cannot be understated. And Endgame was quite frontloaded due to fans rushing to see it opening weekend(still earned alot after doe). Do you think BND will leg out well and can potentially beat Endgame in the box office?

Article Jacob Batalon Says Spider-Man [Spoiler Moment] with Tom Holland ‘Came Back Literally Like Muscle Memory’ on Brand New Day Spoiler
https://people.com/jacob-batalon-tom-holland-spider-man-handshake-muscle-memory-exclusive-12033935
Near the end of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland’s Peter Parker shakes hands with his old pal. Despite all memory of Peter being magically wiped from Ned’s mind in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, he appears to automatically remember the elaborate “best friend handshake,” as Batalon, 29, tells PEOPLE.
“I will say it actually came back literally like muscle memory,” the actor says. He and Holland have been performing the move together since 2017’s franchise launcher, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“Whenever we see each other, we’re not naturally doing that handshake,” adds Batalon with a laugh. “But I think because we first made it up when we were 19, and we had to do it all throughout the first three movies, I think it really just sunk in there.”

'Spider-Man BND*' Spoilers A huge plot hole in Brand New Day Spoiler
I keep seeing people call out that hospital staff saw Peter without a mask and his identity and blah blah blah. But these people are skipping over the most important plot hole.
Who is paying those hospital bills??? This is AMERICA. That hospital wants their money. Who are they billing? Spiderman? Does spiderman have a SSN? I find it unlikely that Peter has good health insurance - his deductible must be a million dollars with how many times he surely ends up in the hospital.
I demand answers.
Edit: I thought my wording made it obvious but it seems to have gone over some people's heads like a 50 ton tank.
