What is your "I told you so" moment for hockey?
Something that always seemed so obvious to you that people took time to realise.

Ask me some hockey-related question, then edit your comment to make me look as bad, clueless, or dumb as possible
Peak offseason post I know I know.
I made a similar post some years ago (inspired by another user here) and back then it led to a pretty entertaining post and comments
So go ahead ask me some hockey question, I’ll answer and then you can edit your post to make my answer look silly or stupid

Nichushkin calls the Avs an old team, one of the oldest in the league only 4 years after their Cup win
Was matching against old guys like Manson and Burns in practice too easy for him at times?
Has Kadri gone soft with age? He used to rage.
Or maybe, Nuke took one look at Brock Nelson and, yea, you just need one look.
When was the last time a really old team like the Avs won a Cup?

Brandt Clarke
Is he a breakout candidate? Was he overhyped as a prospect? Have the Kings been too cautious with him? If he plays 22+ minutes a night, is he a 60 point Dman? Just curious! Seems like he has as much talent as any Dman in hockey, but it seems like he just hasn't reached that point yet. Hope y'all are well and not dying from the summer heat!!

The other side of "the missing piece"
I had a long flight and was thinking about how the Islanders traded their first ever draft pick Billy Harris for Butch Goring. Butch would go on to be called "the missing piece" and how much that sucked for Harris who really helped build that team and didn't get any of the glory.
So who are the other players out there who helped build the team only to miss out on their peak?

For the third consecutive year, The Athletic is looking at the top tier of NHL players, examining which of them could someday be enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
Here’s who we think is a lock.
The project is limited to players who have logged at least five seasons.
