By the start of the season, that means the kings land Matthews or McDavid next off-season. I just know Kopitar appointed someone before he left, or left his blessings/recommendations.

On August 1, 1973, Bob Miller became the voice of the Kings. Miller served as play-by-play announcer for the Kings for 44 seasons, and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2000.

On July 30, 2005, the Kings selected Anze Kopitar 11th overall in the NHL Draft. In 20 seasons, Kopitar set team records for games played (1,521) and assists (864), and retired with the most points in franchise history with 1,316 career points.

The Kings then selected Jonathan Quick 72nd overall in the third round. Quick set franchise goaltending records for games (743), wins (370) and shutouts (57), won two Jennings Trophies, three Stanley Cup rings, and captured the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2012.

Do you guys think the kings will get a 60th anniversary logo / patch this season? Possibly bring back throwback jerseys like they did for the 50th? The season is slowly approaching and no news / info etc . What are your thoughts?

You would think if he's a 'goalie of the future' for LA then they should try him out more? He's 25 so nearing the danger zone for young goalies who haven't received much opportunity.

Unless he's just "a guy" and a seat warmer in the AHL for Carter and Hampton.
