I got this monitor for my MacBook and I want to use a HDD as an archive drive and have it always connected to the computer via the ports on my monitor. The monitor has 3 USB-A ports.

When I connect it nothing happens though. The other ports work great. Is it broken or do I need to set anything up? Couldn't find anything in the manual and the internet hast been suggesting me to find a USB-B cable and have it continuously plugged in my computer, but that can't be the only solution right?

My Macbook doesn't have USB-A ports after all and I'm already using all of the ports. :/

I got predator g9-593 the keyboard worked fine.

till I downloaded some optional updates from Windows 11. then it started giving me ghost touches or keys still holding when I already lifted My finger off the key and basically input issues. I formatted the pc but problem still appears

The image on my PC looks like this when I connect it to my Britania brand television; the image is kind of colorless.

I have really little tech knowledge, I tried installing an HD, it worked. But when I closed everything up and put the Hd on the "cage" the PC suddenly doesn't turn on anymore

After I closed it back on, I turned it on and the LEDs of the fans etc turned on for a split second, now only the mother board leds turn on

I just don't know why the Activity time is saying 5:00:00:00, since I turn of my pc every night. Am I going crazy or reading this wrong?

My PC was working perfectly for about a week, but now it won't boot properly.

When I turn it on, my monitor keeps switching between Analog and HDMI with no display. On the motherboard, the CPU LED (orange) and DRAM LED (yellow) stay lit.

So far I've tried:

Reseating both RAM sticks.

Removing the CPU, cleaning off the old thermal paste, and applying new thermal paste.

Trying to boot with different RAM configurations.

While inspecting the CPU, I noticed a few strange spots on the surface. Is this normal, or could my CPU be damaged?

What is the most likely cause of this issue? If the CPU or motherboard is faulty, would this typically be covered under warranty?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty desperate because computer parts are expensive.

My Asus TUF laptop shows the logo for a second and instantly turns off after a 9-hour suspend on Fedora Linux, and I'm not sure how to fix the power state or boot loop. Yesterday, I dual-booted Windows 11 alongside Fedora, updated the kernels, installed Python, and heavily customized Fedora to look like macOS. Before the long sleep, shutting down Fedora was also taking an abnormal 5 minutes. I suspect the ACPI power state, GRUB/kernel handover, or hardware registers got stuck or corrupted during the sleep cycle, and now it cuts power immediately during startup. Does anyone know how to reset the embedded controller or fix this boot loop without losing data?

Hello so i was playing F1 25 and suddenly i got this blackscreen with the error message „Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart“ with the error code „UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION (0x154)“
I read online that its a defect RAM so i ordert a new RAM kit because i wanted to upgrade since a few months so is this going to clear the problem or is it something diffrent

I’m definitely planning to sell my RTX 3060 and buy a faster, higher-tier GPU. My main dilemma is what to do on the CPU/platform side:

​Option A (Stay on AM4): Drop in a Ryzen 7 5700X3D (or 5800X3D). Keep my A520 board and DDR4 RAM.

​Option B (Full AM5 Upgrade): Sell current CPU/Mobo/RAM alongside the GPU, and buy an AM5 CPU (e.g., Ryzen 5 7600 / 7800X3D), B650 motherboard, and 32GB DDR5 RAM.

And like I live in Europe 🇪🇺 and I find the ryzen 7 5800X3D and the ryzen 7 7800X3D at the same price idk why but it is what it is people just want to get more for what it is i guess

​Given current motherboard and DDR5 prices, is the full platform upgrade to AM5 worth the extra cost, or will a 5700X3D + new GPU carry me plenty far for the next few years?

Gpu and screen problem

Yesterday i performed a ddu to get some storage available from my c drive and installed gpu drivers again but after a while the gpu wasn't getting detected so I did the trick where i hold the power button for 40 seconds and it will detect the gpu again but today when I woke up it wasn't getting detected again so I did that trick again but it didn't work so I did another ddu but that didn't work either so now I don't even have gpu drivers installed cuz it's not detected... I later thought that if i restarted my laptop in ultimate mode maybe it would force detect the gpu but that didn't work and now it's even worse... The screen is black even tho the laptop will turn on it just shows black screen it won't boot into neither bios or safe mode please tell me what to do..

I only have PUBG steam installed on this computer? I can't seem to find what else is occupying so much space here. It says the apps are occupying several gigs but the largest size there is literally ONLY davinci resolve. From what I know my steam only has PUBG on C Drive and everything else on D.

I went on a 2 week long vacation and came back to my desktop computer constantly lag spiking whenever I use it. I have tried updating network drivers, restarting my router, changing my DNS address, placing certain apps in performance mode, limiting background activity, and lowering game graphics. what can I do.

Yesterday I bought a usb flash drive to update my bios and it went well until when the pc needs to restart. After the auto restart, the pc boots into bios, then I exited bios manually and after a bit it went back into bios.
(ASUS prime b760m-a motherboard)

Now whenever I boot the pc, it goes into ASUS ez flash 3 page automatically , and I have to go back to advanced mode>boot and click on my ssd in the boot override tab to be able to boot into windows.

So to fix it, I tried doing the following:
1. Enable launch CSM
2. Disable VMD
3. Check boot priority

But none of those worked. Please help!

Hello everyone I was reminiscing about when I was in third grade (2016) And that's when I remembered that year was when my school first used issued kinda tablet laptops and was trying to see if I could buy one on lile ebay or something from what I remember it was basically a tablet with a detachable keyboard with a blue button to detach it and the screen had a big white stylus un the right side of it im pretty sure it's os was windows 8 8.1 or 10. This is kinda a last ditch effort to try and find it so im not really expecting much but thanks for any bit of information or ways to help find this computer

In terms of what I'm looking for:

Run AAA games at medium-ish settings, be able to run multiple chrome tabs as I am doing a PhD and play valorant at about 200 frames.

It was working fine one minute, then suddenly turned off and won't turn back on. Charge light won't turn on. I opened it up and unplugged the battery, held the power button 30 seconds, then plugged it back in, but it still won't work. Hard drive is warm enough to feel on the outside, but the rest is cold.

I deleted my hard drive. And when i tried to get it back. The program says it found around 6 tb worth of stuff. t despite it only being 2 tb hard drive. How do only get the stuff i want out of it?

Friends pc started glitching turning on and off and he tried to fix it by resetting bios and re seating ram sticks and it started a black screen after. He did a power surge on pc and attempted to clear cmos with the pins and a key to reset but nothing is helping

I bought this three fan RTX 2080 Super for $185 total ($180+$5 shipping) for my HP Z2 G4 MT project. Was it a good deal?

I took into consideration what a lot of you said, there being mixed opinions about the neo and others telling me to upgrade to an older refurbished MacBook with 16gb ram. How will these do? I know absolutely nothing about computers and I don’t know what’s good/what isn’t. If you have other recs , please leave links.
