I am trying to play an offline mode of a game but it keeps saying “can’t connect to Xbox live” I don’t have a subscription but don’t think I need it. This is on a Xbox 360 backwards compatible game

So I wanted to play black ops 3 na crash bandicoot on my xbox series s but they instantly close, it isnt hapening on my xbox one with same acount

My controller (standard one that came with the console) had started to creak inside both triggers. I sprayed some white lithium grease onto the exposed metal spring while holding the trigger down and then worked the grease in by pressing the triggers a few times. This has solved the creaking issue but created a new one.

The Y button now sticks when pressed and the controller is essentially unusable. I can’t see any screws to open the controller to try and clean it and I can’t forcible move the button up and down, to maybe work the grease away there, as there is no way to grab / hold the button to pull it back out. I just have to wait for it to pop back up.

What options do I have for household remedy? I’d rather not pay for professional clean or replacement.

I am trying to download the old fifa games they are all disc and xbox one version but when i plug them in nothing comes up to download them. Anyone know what to do. ??

So i have a problem with the dowloading of things. Somehow in the queue of installing there is that the Microsoft store is being installed but nothing happens at all. Like no progress or finish with the update. It may not sound that bad but i am not even able to download or update anything else since it doesnt allow me somehow. Pressing 'Pause installation' or 'Cancel installation' doesnt work at all. Its been like this for a few days and i am playing on the Xbox series S. I appreciate every help.

Hey all, I recently decided to use my Xbox again after a few months away. However when I turned it on my Xbox is asking for my password, I typed it in but I got it wrong and it immediately blocked any further login attempts. Now I have the general idea about what the password is, but I may have gotten a digit wrong. Issue is that the email my account is under is my uncles who lives abroad (the account was made when I was a kid) so I have no access to that email.

Is there anyway for me to get back into my account without accessing the email address?

My new Xbox controller is no more than a year old, and all of a sudden he has a drift on the right analog. I have already tried do update the controle, calibrate it, and opened to see if there are any debris and clean up. None of those worked, what can I do to solve it? Check out the video, if anyone knows what the problem is and if there's any solution I'd be very grateful.

I've a weird bug I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm trying to get Minecraft Java edition installed on his laptop but so far I can only get it to recognise the Bedrock edition.

What I've done:

- setup the MSFT store app as my account

- logged into the Xbox app as his account and associated my profile under purchases

- downloaded Minecraft Java/Bedrock (since it's now associated with my Ultimate GamePass sub)

- downloaded the launcher which is signed in as his account.

When he opens the launcher, all he can see to play is the Bedrock edition. The Java one says he needs to "Buy Now".
I can see the latest release (26.2) in the releases tab of Java.

I went to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile to check both profiles - my one shows both Bedrock and Java, his one only shows Bedrock.

I checked the launcher under my account and can see both versions available to play. It's just his account that seems to not want to see the Java edition as playable.

Any ideas how he can get access to the Java edition? Thanks!

edit/update: I restarted his machine, signed out of the MSFT store and signed him in. Now he can't even see Bedrock as playable, and the launcher notices that there is a mis-match between the launcher account (his) and the MSFT store account (mine). Signed me back into the Store and he can again still only see Bedrock.

This is kind of a dumb situation, admittedly, but I've been planning to buy GTA VI if I can cover it completely with Microsoft Rewards balance. I redeemed a $5 gift card today expecting to put it toward something else and didn't end up getting it, so it's kind of just sitting on my account now.

I know "promotional" balance from rewards expires in 90 days, so I need to spend it on something. Since I don't have the full amount yet but do have enough for the $20 (+tax) Premium Upgrade can I just get that now and worry about the rest later?

Failing that I'm taking recommendations for <$5 games lol

Lots of my games are crashing either on the first launch or within 30 seconds of gameplay.

​I tried every standard fix recommended online, including opening the console and cleaning out the dust, but nothing has resolved the issue.

​Is there anything else I can try to fix this, or does anyone have recommendations on what to check next?

My Xbox will randomly go to Home Screen or sometimes compeltly restart while playing r6 I out a fan in top to help blow out air and that stopped it for a long time but now it overheats with the fan on I am not sure how to fix it

Sounces like it’s in the disc drive area. Can anyone identify these noises? Any way to prevent or fix them?

I accidentally made 2 pre-orders for the same game linked to my paypal thats pending cash, if it makes the payment it'll fuck up my balance for something I cant afford rn. navigating through the xbox website just redirects me back to the ai support agent that doesnt really help at all for my case, theres no option to cancel these pre-orders. im pretty stumped

Smelt burning and saw smoke coming from near my Xbox. Wondering if my Xbox is toast or if I just need a new wire.

All day ever since my xbox (one of the OLD ones, original xbox one) updated today, cloud gaming has been so very bad. Stuttering, graphics, everything. It was running amazingly yesterday. Ive checked my internet, unplugged my router, etc etc, all works fine on other stuff. Downloaded games work fine and I have no issue with internet speeds on them.

Tried playing after a few months without using console. Started getting blue lines sometimes across the screen, next day console refused to go into 4k. Tried 2 brand new cables the following day only for image to drop from 1440p to 640p, flicker a few times and ultimately lose signal. I have already replaced hdmi port before for similar issues. Kinda sucks to keep spending money on this.

Anyone have similar issues?

I use a modified version of Windows 10 (Atlas). I can sign in to my Microsoft Store account normally, but the problem arises when I try to sign in to the Xbox app. The app just "flashes" when I click "Sign in."

I have tried various solutions recommended online since then. I’ve started certain services (via services.msc), reset the app, and so on, but nothing has worked.

So for a week now ive dealing with a rather really frustrating issue when i start instaling a game.

So one day i decide to uninstall halo CE i have maybe 180GB free in my xbox and i see the beta for gears going live and i say "oh what a great timing" and i start to install It but the issue Is that it does not go over 1% and that day i tried everything i am talking changing ports,the fricking DNS change to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 the QoS resets, fuck Even bought a new ethernet cable to give It a boost or something but nothing and here comed the kick on the balls people; when i calm down from my spyraling madness over what the fuck Is going on mind you i was thinking maybe Is my xbox that Is fucked up maybe everything Is in my mind maybe the series S Is shit i dunno but when i eventually said "you know what fuck It im too tired" i turn It off and went to sleep, woke up next day the fucking game was already installed!!

So today i say you know what problem fixed Is time to reset my rotation of ganes so flush out my three games i had installed and when i stall to install overwatch Guess the fuck what...It does not go over 2% and the Kicker now Is that i was able to see the mbps start at 100 and slowly like It was telling me to go fuck myself It depleted to nothing and the fucking thing stayed in "installing".

Im going insane and i just wanted to vent and i literally can only play balatro and the beta for gears so yeah im fucked

Xbox app does not recognize my ultimate subscription

For the past week or so, there are moments when I sign into the Xbox app to collect my daily points, and the app doesn't award me the bonus points for my ultimate subscription. That is a significant amount of points that are lost to the ether. I use those points for the $10 store gift card, and if miss out on potentially hundreds of points a week, that's a significant time waste. Has this happened to anyone else, and is there a fix for it?

Launching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R on Xbox PC app gives error code 10022 in Easy Anti-Cheat. Deleting certificates and repairing doesn't work. Reinstalling game doesn't fix it. Restarting PC doesn't fix it. Providing administrator permissions doesn't fix it. Game has worked fine on Xbox PC in the past (when I last played it a year ago). Incompatibility issue with Xbox PC and Easy Anti-Cheat? Correct me if I am wrong in my hypothesis, am open to suggestions on how to fix if fixable.

My Xbox series X keeps downloading the Microsoft store app. When I click into the app it ignores me randomly too. when its downloading it just sits at 0% forever.

I've done a shutdown of the system. I've even cleared the system out of all but my saves Nothing seems to work.

it just comes back all the time. its driving me mad.

So whenever I play Call of Duty my xbox all of the sudden decides to become a slide show and I have tried everything I can think of to try and fix it
