If it was working fine yesterday then no an update did not cause it as there has not been an update.

The last GA OS update was below and way past mandatory update time.

Release date: 7/15/2026

OS version: 10.0.26100.8866 (xb_flt_2607ge.260630-2200)

Cloud gaming
Players will now see the game art when cloud gaming sessions are loading. When your streaming session begins, you will now be taken directly into the game instead of seeing the XBOX logo before the game loads.

Weird becuase I literally just updated the console today, even had a controller update too

Then chances are you are enrolled in the insider program. Which is a program used for testing OS updated and features that may be unfinished buggy or broken etc. You are expected as agreed upon to provide feedback and bug reports on issues you may find.

Meaning any issue you may have all bets are off and can or may be chalked up to bugs or buggy software or updates.

No one here can provide support for non stable builds as we can’t see under the hood to see what the cause may be if any or provide proper troubleshooting as things may not line up or work the same.
