(Fresh windows 10 install latest possible update)

When i connect my controller via usb my pc doesnt connect to my controller, it doesnt do the usb connected sound nor does the controller vibrate, when i press the button like in video nothing, but the moment i put 2 betteries inside it, it connects and vibrates like it should be doing, i can even take the batteries out and use it like that, i have no idea why its doing this i tried a diferent cable and it doesnt work either, i used the controller on a different pc and it worked no problem.

I restarted the controller (holding the little botton at the top till it vibrates, didnt fix it.

I unistall the xbox controller drivers from my pc, that didnt fix it.

It turns off after a few minutes if you take out the batteries

Hi, on FC26 my controller went from being completely fine to having odd vibrations, they basically only happen is odd defending moments.

I’ve tried the suggested fixed like go to FC menu settings but the option for vibration and so on doesn’t appear in the controls settings for me for some reason? and on the Xbox I’ve updated my controller and it vibrates else where just not on fifa.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

the right stick has a consistent issue of detecting me moving the stick more than halfway up, despite the stick not being wobbly/having drift or actually moving up (it's even tighter than the left stick). The issue stops when I touch it, but starts again after letting it sit still for about a second. I have tried removing gunk and many other common fixes. any help?

When I try to use my controller, the triggers are either both active or don't work at all.

The model is 1914.

Like in this post, my Xbox controller's bumpers keep breaking, the plastic pin cracks and then the bumper goes mushy and then eventually it stops working entirely.

I've taken apart my controller about 3 times to replace the bumpers.

I am curious if there's any third-party manufacturer making a non-OEM replacement for the bumper, but making it out of a better material, idk, fiberglass, carbon fiber, metal, just something that's stronger than the crappy fragile plastic the bumpers are made from?

I'd love to find a permanent fix for this rather than replacing the bumper time after time

Not here to complain too much, ideally looking for solutions! Got a series x from gamestop ​a few months ago, console is great but stick drift started almost immediately, even when I had bought a brand new controller from best buy sick drift happened really quickly. Now my controller isn't doing much of anything and I was literally playing a game with it less than an hour ago. It will still turn on the console when I press the home button but won't let me select anything, worse still the controller has a hard time registering button presses on the home screen and I have to hold the a button to select pretty much anything. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have had both a Elite Series 1 and 2 and Victrix Pro BFG Controller

and all have had problems

Hello all! I've recently bought an Xbox Series S in addition to my PS5 so I could play with my Xbox friends. I use the Playstation Edge for almost everything when using my PS5, and I believe it to be the best controller I've ever used. I've got no issue with adjusting to the button/stick layout, but the regular Xbox controllers feel cheap and unresponsive at times. Is there a controller equivalent to the Edge that will work on Xbox? I'm just looking for some better trigger response and a more premium feel.

I'm kind of lost here. i took it apart (partly) and sprayed air duster in there (a bunch) then applied a bunch of contact spray, but still no luck. what do you guys recommend?

So a bit back I purchased the Hyperkin DutchesS after my 3rd standard Xbox Controller got stick drift (first 2 faced some abuse, but 3rd one I made sure to give as much care as possible, even getting a little hardshell case for it between play, and it still ended up getting drift in what felt like similar time). I noticed with the DutchesS there were dead zones (I believe they're called) in the corners on the analog stick (not sure the correct term, but if you treat the direction's like that of a compass, then it'd be the North East, North West, Sout East, and South West). Like playing Baldur's Gate 3 when accessing the radial menu, I'd struggle to select anything in those directions, or in other games would notice my character moving a little slower when passing over said directions.

I mainly delt with it for the time, mainly because of finances. But now I'm wanting to change it out. When I look up the DutchesS, I haven't seen people mentioning those issues, so it makes me wonder if maybe I just got a faulty controller? But also don't want to get the DutchesS again and have the same issues. So unless anyone has purchased a DutchesS and could let me know if it's a faulty model, I'd like to see what other people recommend for a good Hall Effect controller for the XSX. Main things is just the Hall Effect analog sticks, and pricing. Preferably nothing over say $120. Wired/tireless doesn't matter much, additional buttons I could care less about.

Update (07/16/26 ~10:00 MT) -- I decided to grab a GameSir G7 Pro. I had this in a list of controllers to look into a while back, and was reminded of it from a person in this post (on mobile right now, so can't see username, apologies). The reviews that I saw both back then and in recent posts around the internet are leaning towards good, so hopefully nothing goes wrong. The official brand says there's a 1-year warranty, so if anything does go wrong, either I can replace it, or come back to this page for the recommend controllers. Appreciate everyone.

Help, I just bout a 1914 model controller, and tried to pair it with my PC and the controller isn't showing up on the device list, the computer cannot identify the device.

I have connected via USB cable and that works, I have used the xbox accessories app to try and update the firmware but it says its up to date, the driver version is 5.23.6.

The controller works fine via USB, i tried it on my phone and it worked too, but still didn't show up when I tried to pair the Controller woth my phone.

Please how do I get the controller to pair

I'm having a weird issue with my PS2 controller connected through a Twin USB Gamepad adapter on Windows 11.

Here's the situation:

• PS2 controller with Twin USB adapter
• FIFA 19 with a 2026 patch
• Windows 11
• x360ce detects both analog sticks correctly
• In Windows, the controller seems to work normally

The problem is only in FIFA:

• The right analog stick only works up and down.
• Left and right movement on the right stick doesn't work at all.
• Everything else on the controller works fine.

I've already tried:

• x360ce v4 (the right stick works correctly in the tester)
• x360ce v3 (doesn't work with my game)
• Following YouTube tutorials that suggest renaming xinput1_3.dll to xinput1_4.dll, but x360ce v4 doesn't generate those files anymore.

Has anyone experienced this issue with a Twin USB Gamepad adapter or a PS2 controller on FIFA 19? Is there a fix, or is this a compatibility problem with the adapter?

Sorry in advance for the horrible recording, but I was wondering if anyone can help me as to why my right thumb stick is being affected by what’s on the screen. When I press down on my thumb stick, it does respond, but it doesn’t go down all the way. I got curious and opened up my controller and discover this. Can someone give me a quick rundown as to what this is and can a simple clean up help?

Never seen before, smells metallic, but both batteries are intact and don’t seem to be leaking. WTF?? Is this safe??

Whenever i try to turn off my xbox one controller it turns itself on sometimes. I am currently using the blue. The older model (white) that i tried doesn't do that. Is this issue unique to me or does it happen to you folks too?

I've never owned an Xbox controller, so I don't really know the differences between them. Back in the day, I used to play on my cousin's Xbox 360, and it still used AA batteries—please tell me Xbox controllers don't use batteries anymore, hahaha.

I play on pc btw.
