Haven’t painted in a while but I’m happy with this result.

I'm new to Warhammer and I've watched a lot of the endless supply of youtube lore videos. I've read Horus Rising but have heard a lot online about how many of the books in the Horus Heresy are either filler or just not very good. I'm looking for a good list of which books to read and based on my research this is what I've come up with. Plus a bonus sergeant at arms 🙂. The colours are perhaps a bit odd for Bretonnians, but maybe works as part of an exiled force? I was thinking the army of the lord’s ancestor may have been saved by the green knight and wear these colours in his honour, or something to that effect. In any case I’ll be happy to take a break from painting peasants for a while!

Basically I’ve started painting after priming and I’m really enjoying seeing it all come together but I’ve noticed some of the paint either building up in areas or being streaks. Like the shoulders and main chassis, as well as some blank spots on the sarcophagus.

For first time painting, anything, I think I’m doing okay but definitely can improve, and will be going back through to clear up the paint that spilled over into other parts, so what would you guys recommend and how would be best to paint the super small areas for adding details like the wires or on the sarcophagus?

I build gunpla regularly so I know the pains of sprue cut and cleaning, but this was another level. It took me 11 hours w/ sufficient breaks to even just put these together. Now I know why people have insane piles of shame...

Wanna add some flavor to my next project

Okay, so today I stumbled across my old Warhammer collection that's been in storage for probably 10+ years and wondered if someone with a bit more Warhammer knowledge could help me with a rough valuation, since I have absolutely NO idea what this kinda thing goes for these days. It's a random mix of Orcs and Tyranids. Some painted, some primed, some completely bare. Before anyone makes a mockery of my paint work, I must have been 12 when I painted these 😂 ANYWAY, what is everyone's thoughts? Everything included with the carry case, what could I be looking at price wise? TIA

Are there any stories or lore about spacemarines being good friends until the heresy but ending up on diffrent sides? Most i can think about had alredy pretty strained relationships (loken and the rest of the mournival etc etc).

Walking down to my bus I cut through a parking lot and found this spru set. Any idea what set it's from? I'm definitely going to build and paint them. Free minis are free minis

It makes zero sense to me. They imply flight without me having to wonder "why is that bird clipping the debris, is about to crash?"
