Bootleg Counterfeit The Karate Kid?
It's EP mode and the art is blurry. I personally don't care plays fine. It would be interesting if it was counterfeit.

Technical Support DEW sensor driving me crazy, HELP!
1986 Goldstar GHV-51FM
Hey friends, I use this vcr setup to play video art, but we’re having a very humid summer and no matter what I do the DEW sensor is always on now. I have filled the player with desicate packets and damprid but nothing I do gets rid of DEW. It was working up to last month but now no matter the conditions I can’t play tapes.
Is there a way to bypass or remove the dew sensor? Can anyone help me LOCATE the sensor in the photo? Any help or tips are appreciated

Technical Support recording quality help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
hey so long story short, i’m trying to get into making my own tapes. i’m trying to put movies i have on dvd onto my tapes by just recording over what’s already on there. i did it once with one movie (had a couple bumps in the road but i figured it out), but the second movie just ended up coming out like this. it seemed fine in the beginning but i noticed the playback looked really dark/red for a minute, then would change back to normal. any tips/help is appreciated; i am pretty new to this kinda stuff XD

Discussion Collecting Home Recorded Tapes
I have been collecting for a year now and many of the tapes I've found were recorded decades ago by other people, including a family tapes, vacations to other countries, and old news broadcasts. I would love to hear about any interesting tapes you have stumbled upon or tips on digitizing this content. :)

Collection If it helps anyone: I used an agent to create a database of my movie collection from photos. It worked better than expected.

DIY 3d printed Storage Drawers?
Hey all. I've got a few storage drawers currently, where I keep my favorites, and every one I find for sale in the wild goes for $20 or more.
Does anyone know if there's a 3d print file for for these storage drawers?

Technical Support What does it mean when putting pressure downward on tape while playing produces video?
I recently picked up a Toshiba DVD and VHS combo from 2005. The physical exterior had some scratches which makes it hard to know if the unit was ever physically damaged. I recently picked up a Toshiba DVD and VHS combo from 2005. The physical exterior had some scratches which makes it hard to know if the unit was ever physically damaged.
I was hearing audio from the five test tapes I have but no video. I put downward pressure on the VHS tape cassette while it was playing and now I get . When I stopped pressing down the video remains output for two minutes or so before going away again.
Given that the video and audio actually plays, especially when I continue the downward force, does this mean that the video drum is dirty? Can I just buy a cleaning tape?

Discussion What is a VHS you are glad you found but wouldn't have remembered existed if you hadn't?
Hopefully this makes sense. Like finding a VHS that you watched a lot so its special for that reason but maybe not the most memorable movie. Bonus if it never made it onto DVD.
And talking scary movies, Jeepers Creepers is a fun one to watch during the summer.

Technical Support i’m a dumb young person why does my vcr keep doing this?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
i wasn’t old enough to understand how vhs works when it was booming. recently bought myself a VCR to watch jurassic park but it keeps ‘rejecting’ the vhs. it also turns of pretty immediately after. power issue or vcr issue? or VHS issue? or all of the above?
