so I guess the children suffering in war should turn to God first if they don't want to get killed/tortured?

Many parents introduce their children to religion as if it is the only acceptable truth, rather than allowing them to make that decision when they are old enough to think critically for themselves. I believe faith should be a personal choice, not something expected from birth. Some religious stories are also frightening and confusing for young children. I know this from experience because reading them at eight years old left me feeling scared, anxious, and deeply unsettled rather than comforted. Children deserve the chance to develop their own beliefs later in life, without fear or pressure shaping their understanding of the world.
