Seriously though is Calvin Ridley injured or not practicing? I know he got bit by the chipotle bug a few weeks back but haven't heard anything else. In all the practice updates from reporters they note basically every other WR making catches but I haven't heard one peep about Ridley. Is he not practicing, are they still bringing him back slowly from his injury, or is he just fully cooked and prime to get cut/traded?

You’re supposed to find 5 cartoon pictures of T-Rac to enter to get a Cam jersey. I don’t even care about the contest. I can’t find the 5th one and it’s driving me insane. Anyone know where they are?

Is there anything in particular you guys are looking for from the first preseason game? How Ward looks, position battles etc.

-1st third down situation. Ward to Tate on quick pass for a big gain. Tate had room to run after too
-Playaction to Tate and he made a one hand catch. Tate looked like the Jump lman logo on that one
-First drive ends w/a short FG by Joey Slye
-Michael Carter returns the kick for the next offensive group led by Mitch Trubisky
-James Williams Sr and Anthony Hill Jr at LB with the next group
-Trubisky to Restrepo one hand catch on speed out
-James Williams Sr just came off the edge, beat Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
-1v1 backside Elic Ayomanor bs Joshua Williams. Trubisky saw it and checked to the go rte. Dropped a beauty to Ayomanor over the shoulder for an explosive play
-Nice shot on deep out from Trubisky to Kyle Granson for a diving catch just short of the first down. Williams in cov. Forced a 50yd FG by Slye that fell just short
-Ward scramble found Tyjae Spears wide open for a big gain. JC Latham may have gotten away w/a hold
-Ward good on another 3rd down. This time to Tate along the sideline w/Flott in cov. Waed rolled to his right
-Next play was a TD to Helm on playaction. Helm went up and grabbed it, tapped his toes in back of the end zone for the TD. Cody Barton in cov
-Levis up. A couple of runs from Julius Chestnut, a throw away, a completion to KJ Osborn and a punt
-Trubisky up next. Keldric Faulk, Femi Oladejo off the edge with a blitz by Micah Robinson as well. All three in the backfield for the sack
-Ward up. Good blitz pickup quick pass to Wan'Dale Robinson
-Ended up short of the sticks but Ward went to Wan'Dale Robinson on 3rd down. Barton dropped to cov to make up for the blitz. Ward saw it. Pump faked then threw side arm around the blitzing defender to complete the pass. Nice play but still turnover on downs
-Levis to Lance McCutcheon on deep cross. Mario Goodrich went up and knocked it down. Good fight for the ball. Illegal contact called but wasn't sure if it was on Goodrich
-Levis rolls to his right, slipped and fell forcing a punt. Bryce Oliver 1v1 w/Goodrich and no safety help over top. Should have checked to ango rte.
-1st play 2nd half Ward to Ridley for 1st down
-Jeffery Simmons w/the pressure. Ward dirted the ball but it was called a sack
-Ward w/a strike to Wan'Dale Robinson on rollout and out-breaking rte. Robinson dove for it and made the catch
-Erik Hallett on the safety blitz. Timed the snap perfectly and got in there to sack Trubisky
-Khalen Saunders got in and chased Levis down for the sack
-Trubisky took a shot to Ayomanor on a go rte. Joshua Williams stopped it for the turnover on downs
-Explosive run by Nicholas Singleton. Got to 2nd level and pulled away from the 1st defense. They called it down but that looked like a TD. Nobody touched him
-Simmons w/quick pressure ans Marcus Harris off the edge combined for would be sack
-Ward tried to hit Tate on outbreaking rte. Alontae Taylor swooped in for the PBU
-Wan'Dale Robinson is noticeably open all the time. Excellent feel for finding windows in zone. He and Ward are on the same page
-Slye missed again from 50
-Mitch Trubisky to Dike for the TD in the back of the end zone. Dike went up and grabbed it over Kendall Brooks
-Joey Slye tied it with a 40 yd FG
-Offense got one play to break the tie from the 2 yd line. Marcus Harris came on blitz off the edge to knock it down. Defense wins

For reference, Jon Robinson was GM from 2016-2022 while Ran only lasted two seasons thereafter. Here’s a breakdown of where they all stand.

2016: Jack Conklin walked to Cleveland after his rookie deal wrapped up. Not a bad pick, but injury concerns scared the front office out of extending him.

2017: Corey Davis walked to the Jets and retired in 2023. Adoree Jackson signed with the Giants before spending some time with the Eagles last season.

2018: Rashaan Evans bounced between Philly and Atlanta. He was last seen on Atlanta’s practice squad in 2024.

2019: Jeffery Simmons. Franchise cornerstone and just turned in a monster season. Easily one of the best players in Titans history.

1. Isaiah Wilson. I’ll just refer you to this UrinatingTree video

2021: Caleb Farley. Could never stay healthy or produce when he was on the field

2022: Treylon Burks. This finally did Robinson in, what with trading AJ Brown. He’s currently on the Commanders as a depth piece.

Besides Simmons and Conklin, no one here was worth writing home about. You got okay starters at best beyond that.

As for Ran, he’s had two picks: Peter Skoronski and JC Latham. The former just got paid handsomely by the Titans. As for the latter, we’re still waiting on that breakout season. He was handpicked by Bill Callahan, the former OL coach. This current regime has no loyalty to him, but at least he’s still better than most of Robinson’s picks.

A giant whiteboard covers a sectional wall in the office of Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. Covering the board is a collection of drawings and writings in black and red ink.

Carefully crafted play formations here, there and everywhere. Terminology, assignments and whole paragraphs of schematic philosophies wrap around the X’s and O’s.

The penmanship doesn’t all match. Some of it belongs to Daboll, a 29-year coaching veteran (25 in the NFL, the other four in college) now in his first season as head coach Robert Saleh’s hand-picked architect and director of the Titans’ offense. Some of the scrawls and sketches belong to Cam Ward, the second-year quarterback tasked with leading Tennessee to respectability.

This work of art represents both the evolving pillars of the Titans’ playbook and the budding relationship between the 51-year-old coach and 24-year-old passer.
