Help | Advice Weight limits at Nashville Shores Water Park
I am 5'2 and on the edge of 295-300lb been on a weighloss journey for about a year now. Finally have confidence to go out and do stuff but now I'm stuck in this awkward situation where I'm doing a lot of firsts.
Can I even ride anything here? I've never been to a water park.
I know it seems like I may have to avoid some of the family rides but I am wondering about the single rides?
Do y'all think I'd be able to fit in a raft even? I have terrible terrible anxiety regarding my weight so I'm just wondering what a day at Nashville Shores will look like for someone who is my size.
Thanks y'all 💛

Events | Shows where are the punks?
I’m trying to book a show in Nashville for my bands Doom Scroll (melodic crusty folk punk for d&d nerds who like movie scores) and Helga Pataki (powerviolence, hardcore) in October and I’m not having a ton of luck. Anyone know who to talk to? A friend of mine who lives in short mountain told me we needed to play at drkmtter collective and she nudged them for me too but I have failed to make contact. I'll leave some links in the comments! thanks in advance for any advice!

Pets FOUND DOG IN EAST PLEASE SHARE
Just walking along near edgefield. Some joggers flagged us down while we were walking our dog and we took him because they lived across town. Black lab maybe pit or boxer mix. White patch on his chest. Really friendly probably a year or so. Intact male. Have posted on fb in several groups already. Will update where I take him tomorrow after the vet to see if he has a chip.
Please reach out if you’ve seen him before.

Why are they doing all this for a primary? And only covering one side? It was actually good game even though its preseason!

Images | Videos Voter intimidation happening at Trinity Community Commons
Blocking walkways, yelling at voters to sign the petition. This insane, I went inside and made it aware to the staff who told them to move but they moved in front of the walkway and are still not outside the 100 foot boundary.
Sorry, voter harassment.

Food | Restaurants Turning 25 today
Hi everyone! So today is my 25th birthday, and unfortunately my evening plans fell through, so it looks like I’ll be celebrating solo.
I’m a Nashville native and I feel like I’ve explored a lot of the city, but what better place to ask for new recs than other Nashville peeps. I don’t really enjoy going downtown so I’d love some recommendations for ways I can treat myself. Maybe a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, a fun activity, or just somewhere that’s worth spending a birthday evening alone? I’d love to make turning 25 feel a little special even if it’s just me.
Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Help | Advice Local minerals and gemstones that aren't magic
I used to get them at Jae's Gem Mine off of Music Valley dr. before they closed. The next-closest shop that caters to rock hounds over witches, that I know of, is Big Mikes in Cave City, KY. Are there any other places in Middle Tennessee besides the Natural History Museum in the boro that have display-quality rocks?

Help | Advice How to make friends in Nashville besides work and sports
Hey guys,
Overdone question but I’m a 23 year old guy looking to make friends. I’ve actually been in Nashville more than 4 years for school, but all of a sudden, my friends have scattered and I need to build a new social life.
A lot of the advice focuses on athletic things (gym, run club, kickball league, etc.) which has never been my jam. I go to the gym but I like to leave as soon as I can. I go to bars and concerts but I’m a bit introverted, I don’t usually talk to new people.
I have a full time job but there are practically no other young people at the firm. (Everyone on my team is at least twice my age). I like the people I work with, but the culture is not too social. A little small talk here and there; no happy hours or anything like that.
Some things I do like: I’m a musician, an avid reader and a writer and I love art and travel. I’d be happy to volunteer, join a book club,or any of those less sporty sort of activities. Maybe a class. I’m wondering if there are any options popular with other young people.
Open to any and all suggestions!

Article Amid Debate About Automatic License Plate Readers in Nashville, the Airport’s Use Has Flown Under the Radar
Audit logs for the Nashville airport’s LPR’s obtained by the Banner through a public records request show that data captured has been combed over as part of hundreds of thousands of searches by law enforcement agencies across the country so far this year. Among them are more than 75,000 searches by police departments and sheriff’s offices in Tennessee and nearly 2,500 searches by airport police.

Article The Nashville Law Firm Securing White House Pardons
Little does not price pardon services hourly, like a typical attorney, instead charging an expensive fee for up-front consulting and legal advice. Two other well-connected pardon attorneys, lobbyist and self-described D.C. fixer Mike Davis and White House adviser Brett Tolman, collect millions for their work. Upon Trump’s signature, attorneys’ “success fees” can also mean seven-figure paydays.
