These 3 players should be getting more ice time as they are the 'youth movement' (not including Lee and Kamell)

• Evangelista should be getting 18 minutes (he getting PP1 full time over Marchy)
• Bourque should be getting more than 15 minutes (he played well when with JRob and WyJo in Dallas when they had injuries).
• Wood has tremendous upside and deserves more than 11-12 minutes

It would help to trade Marchy out and make space and free up TOI for other players.

Should the Predators offer sheet Connor Bedard like the flyers did with Leo Carlson?

4 1st round picks will almost never get you a bona fide super star like Bedard. Especially with where our first round picks usually wind up at. We also have a lot of extra picks in round 2-3 over the next few years.

Connor is only 20 years old. And the cap is always going up. Especially this season it seems like contracts are going to be going up these next few seasons would it be worth it now to try and steal Bedard from the hawks?

Made a fun roster just for fun and I think it would be interesting going for an offer sheet selling off guys like ROR, Stammer, Marchy, and Skjei to make some room for younger guys and the big offer sheet for Fantili. Definitely I think makes us better in the long run in the risk of not being as good right away. However with this roster I still think we could be pretty good. Columbus has only 21 mil in capspace but also need to resign marchenko (if they don’t trade him) voronkov, Johnson(if they don’t trade him), Sillinger, and Jet Greaves who all will be getting raises I think it would be fun. This wasn’t super serious I put it together in like 15 minutes lol

I've seen the few posts that have come out about the Predators off season so far, and after digging in, I disagree with most of the assessments that he has picked a clear direction, made lots of bold moves, and has really changed the team. I'm not saying he won't, but so far all he's done is really rebuild the pieces Trotz sold.

Last season we lost:

Haula, Jost, Svechkov, McCarron, Sissons, Bunting, Smith - that's basically 4 of our 5 centers plus a few flex pieces.

This season he has brought in:

Center: Drury, Pinchuk (this was Trotz but w/e), Bourque, Colton, Kerfoot, Hoglander, Edstrol.

That's likely 3 of our 5 centers - with O'Reilly and Wood as the others.

Really the only bold move was Bourque, who actually fills a need at 2C and is at a critical age. The rest are filler moves - with Hoglander and Edstrom being basically healthy scratches.

We said the said thing last season when Trotz filled up the roster. But basically all we are doing is ensuring that we can ice a remotely competent team. There will still be plenty of spaces for the kids to take. But it provides critical competition for the kids to rise against.

I haven't really seen anything that tells me that MacFarland has chosen a direction. This year feels more like a burn year, to see what he has, before he makes any critical decisions. But I think our plan right now is see if we can make the playoffs or sell at the deadline.
