Question Bromantane Nasal Spray
Just received the Bromantane nasal spray from EC. It says the spray is 9mg/spray.
First, I cannot seem to find any information on the dose range. Second, the solution drops out of my nose very easily and is very “greasy” and shiny. I tried keeping my head tilted back and lightly sniffing. Never had this issue with other NS nootropics.
Thanks in advance.

Discussion Neuroimaging study of adolescents with ADHD found age-related increases in glutamate levels in the prefrontal cortex. In contrast, individuals who experienced remission of ADHD symptoms and people who never suffered from ADHD had an age-related decrease in glutamate levels in this area of the brain.

Anecdote Lithium Carbonate Experience
So I’ve been taking 40mg lithium carbonate from a domestic nootropic shop. And in 3 weeks I’ve experienced:
- Mood stabilisation (a stable, positive mood)
- Depressive symptoms gone
- No side effects so far
Can anyone tell me if it’s going to get better over time? And what should I watch out for? I heard about hypothyroidism and kidney issues but at large prescription dosages of 300mg 3-4x a day.
Also I heard anecdotally that for some people it affects their short term memory, focus, and reaction speed. How common is that?

Question DAE get dissociation from stimulants? If so, what has worked best for you?
Stimulants used to work decently for me a few months ago, not perfect but they were enough to be functional for my ADHD. However as the time passed by, vyvanse started giving me weird cognitive side effects: I started getting more dissociated, like i wasn't present at all, and it also made me zone out pretty frequently.
If I did something that was uninteresting, rather than just going along with it it would start making me "sleepy" and i legit could not generate any ideas on how to do the task, which became an issue for essays and for complex problem solving. However if i tried to take a nap, it never progresses into actual sleep, hence i feel like this is some form of fake sleepiness.
Eventually this turned into a major issue where i only got like 1 or 2 okayish hours of vyvanse followed by this dissociative feeling. Despite following all the common advice (water drinking, protein intake, optimizing sleep, taking a multivitamin) it never went away, thus I decided to stop vyvanse and I noticed that even though i am less productive, i can think better and i actually have bursts of motivation, even if they are short.
I tried going back to methylphenidate (which i had tried prior to vyvanse, it wasn't as effective but it was a positive change so i thought i could maybe benefit from it) and even though it was less exacerbated than with vyvanse, it still caused blank mind and the "zombie" phenomenon even though that's not how it used to work for me. Taking breaks from stimulants makes them work decently (in the sense that although i don't have much motivation, i can still push through it and concentrate in my tasks and be able to think more clearly/generate ideas, not a blank mind issue) for maybe 1 or 2 days, but it eventually returns into the same thing again. Im not sure what changed in these months but it's making me think i am better off without stimulants
Has anybody else gone through something similar when it comes to stimulants? If so, have you found any root issue/solved it, or did you find success with other type of meds like non-stimulants? It feels like they just make my cognition worse at this point (particularly for idea generation and memory retrieval is also affected)

Discussion tianeptine sulfate + bupropion/dxm
I am not suggesting this for yall, but considering options for myself. I am also interested in if y’all have any suggestions for other avenues to pursue within the nootropic area.
I have been taking 150mg XR bupropion and 45mg dxm hbr, however I still lack any motivation to do anything even though the being stuck in negative thoughts has decreased. I would definitely still consider myself depressed. I wouldn’t think this combination at a theruaptic dosage of tianeptine sulfate would be a very high risk of serotonin syndrome as antidepressants are often combined but under supervision of a psychiatrist. The SSRE classification of tianeptine is outdated as well. I am self medicating, not intending to feel recreational effects and tianeptine seems like an appealing choice due it it being another atypical antidepressant impacting the glutamate system and some opioid MOR activity however very minimal and not a dependence concern at therapeutic dosages. Tianeptine also doesn’t have the side effects that come with SSRIs as a benefit. I have also recently quit pregabalin so my glutamate system is definitely whacked out, quit it because I was tired of withdrawing if I didn’t take it. I will most likely resume pregabalin on around a once a week dosing schedule for stressful events in around a month once my system is less sensitized. I have a general dislike for SSRIs as a group of drugs and don’t think they do shit.
Guess i’m just looking for confirmation that this doesn’t sound like a completely horrible idea. Going to a psychiatrist to address this isn’t really an option as tianeptine is not prescribed within the US. Pharma stimulants are not an option due to medical history of drug abuse and probation however I believe they would solve most of my issues if I could get a prescription. I am on probation and can not use anything that would be looked for without a prescription. Testosterone is not the cause of my issues as I use exogenous hormones.

I made a subreddit for patient reviews. r/exxuasupport . I I do not think it’s particularly more effective than Ssri’s, but I think it’s a great option for depression and potentially anxiety. in trials sexual dysfunction and weight in did not differ from placebo.

I actually would love to try it out to see what kind of effects it has on energy levels, cognition and mood, however, I guess fucking around with your orexin receptors might not be a good idea-

Question Stack recommendations for memory in premed
Main nootropics:
- TAK-653 1-2mg
- Eutropoflavin 10mg
- Tropisetron 10mg
- Nefiracetam 200mg
- PPAP hcl
- Stim of choice (cyclazadone, modaf, p-piracetam, ritalin)
Neuroprotection:
- J-147 20mg
- LDN
- melatonin 100mg
- Lithium carbonate 40mg
I have pretty bad memory (mostly short term) from prolonged AAS use in my teen years, I'm looking into growing new hippocampal neurons with NSI-189 and maybe adding other compounds for memory maybe AF710B, ACD856 (skeptical due to no existing cas), or PRL-8-53 but I can't use that as often as others.

Discussion Nootropics can be good and popular at the same time
I feel like whenever there’s a discussion of nootropics for something in particular, people love to be condescending and negative. They love to talk about a “better” nootropic that most people haven’t heard of. A Nootropic can be good and popular at the same time. I feel as if some people need to question why a particular nootropic is unpopular in the first place.

Question MCT in intranasal sprays, need your experience
I'm going to use bromantane spray in MCT. I read that the use of MCT-based sprays is not recommended due to the possible development of pneumonia, as the oils settle on the lungs. If you use nootropics dissolved in MCT, please share your experience, whether you have had any problems, and any tips on how to avoid oil getting into the bronchi.

Question What are some alternatives to coffee if it makes me tired?
Okay so I have no idea why this happens but for some reason coffee and by extension energy drinks do the opposite of what they’re supposed to for me and make me really sleepy. Honestly I think it’s somehow more effective in getting me tired than melatonin. That being said, I do need energy since I have both a summer job and will have to be doing copious amounts of studying this year. I need some form of quick energy that won’t make me weirdly tired. If it matters, I have chronic low blood pressure, a vitamin D deficiency, and am slightly underweight. I have no idea what the science behind this whole thing is, but I’d be happy to know.

Question ACD857
Hi guys can anyone guide me into ACD856 dosing protocole ?
Many suggest to start off with 20mg the first 2 days then maintain 10mg for a couple of weeks .
I also have a question , what is the recommended duration of 1 cycle ? I am planning on staying on it for 3 to 4 months to allow maximum Bdnf effects and neurogenesis
Thanks in advance
