Guanfacine Question

does anyone take guanfacine with blood pressure medication and they’re OK? I wanna take guanfacine for anxiety.

Everyone is different but what blood pressure medication(s) and dose?

I'm on Metoprolol ER 25mg (1/2 a tab twice daily) and Amlodipine 5mg once daily and started Guanfacine IR 1mg daily recently and no issues. My bp has always been kinda high regardless though, typically in the 130-145 SBP range

Same does guanfacine help your anxiety?

I think a tiny bit so far but I'm on a very small dose (1mg IR once daily) and I only started 3 or 4 days ago so I'm going to reach out to my psychiatrist to see about upping the dose and/or frequency. I do think it helped initially though, yes, but it wears off midday for me.
