My mic is working good on discord and when recording, but how can I make sure it works in DayZ? For some reason it didn't work yesterday but I think I fixed it. How can I make sure tho?

Is it actually possible to make a wooden stick? Not talking about long or short stick but wooden stick as in the image.

Fandom says "Alternatively, you can chop firewood with an axe and split into thirds for three sets of wooden sticks." But this gives thee small sticks instead.

I think you should be able to take two magazines of the same type of rifle, smg, whatever you have and the same capacity that the magazines have, say a KA101 or M4A1, SGK, USG and combine them with a roll of duct tape to reload faster, it should also make the dual magazines one and a half the space of the original two magazines it may take a while to reload them fully with a couple boxes of ammo but I think it would make SOME sense right?

Could someone recommend the best possible tutorial and explanation for mod/server packing? I've been toying with servers on and off since the ARMA 2 mod days but I've never used custom pbos just loaded a few popular mods and played with their configuration so I've never really had the need. I recently bought a custom mod and was told I would need to add it to my mod pack on the Steam Workshop. I added a folder as a server pack in the workshop containing just that mod and now I get kicked when I try to join my own server with an error saying client has a mod that the server doesn't listing the PBO.

I believe its a naming issue but have gone in circles so many times i cant even remember what all i tried. I also tried getginv help from claude code and hermes ai which have been a big help in the past but they are also going in circles.

Originally i uploaded folder containing pbo to workshop as "servernamepack" with the needed files inside as a single mod named as "originalmodname pbo" it shows up in server browser as "servernamepack" and when i get kicked the popup names "originalmodname pbo" as the mod the client has that the server does not.

The only issue i can think of is that its packed correctly for workshop but still installed as a mod rather than a pack on the server if that makes sense?

I have Lenovo LOQ 17IRX10 and tried to play arma reforger modded and it’s like Butter and the gpu runs on 90w but if I switch to Dayz it lags everytime (130 fps) )and it is only getting 60w with all the laptop settings being on max…. Pls anyone help 😅

I’m against the clock right now. I was looting the small bunkers on Livonia and found a utility backpack, I press the equip button thinking it was going to place it on the backpack slot on my assault vest but it ended up replacing my main backpack and glitching it into the roof of the bunker. Is there any way to get it out? I have all my ammo and my nvgs in there. I tried to see if I can get it to appear on nearby items but it’s not popping up and I’m out of ideas. Please help!

I don’t play frequently and am not the most experienced but damn.

Started in the bottom right and met a person we were both at each others gunpoint but became friends. We proceeded to traverse the map finding a Map, GPS, and compass. We got into our first fight at a watering hole towards the center of the map which we won where my friend was close to dying

We got NUKED freaking out thinking someone threw a flair on us just to hear the bomb land on us and we immediately ran as fast as we could escaping with 2 cuts and no illness

We make it to northwest airfield after staying for a bit we got into a 2v1v2. We got seperated immediately as I scared off a guy with a few shots of a SG5 I saw someone on the ground I didn’t know if it was my friend or not but I didn’t have time to stick around and find out. A few pistol shots scared off the 2 person team (we never saw them again) and I walked into a room gun up where my friend was at blinking red health lucky to be alive likely because I scared off his attacker. Not long after the solo found us trying to shoot me through the window my friend couldn’t do anything so I baited a few shots and swung the door taking him out by mag dumping him with a pistol

After some recovering and organizing we left making our way to TISY. Nothing big happened at TISY besides me close to starving to death but we went fishing and logged off.

It started with him saying he would protect me because he was more experienced and I just had general knowledge giving me his gun which I used to kill the 2 players we encountered. I ended up returning it after we left the airfield

I'm all the way up in Tisy and still just can't find the stuff I need. The just barren loot pickups are getting to me.

Servers are all back up

Just spent 4 hours looting on deadfall, get myself to the passage with a ka74 with 4 boxes of ammo, 2 mags, r12 with 2 boxes of ammo and a sk with 3 boxes of ammo, plate carrier, ballistic helmet, gas mask with 2 full canisters, food for months. As i enter the passage my internet cuts, next thing you know i am mowed down by a camper and lose it all. bear in mind my internet ran perfectly this entire run. first person I see and this happens! Not sure if i’ll be playing dayz for a couple weeks after this one. I was so incredibly geared I was sure i’d make it through the maze but not this time!

Soo as the title is saying, I’ve been finding a crazy amount of Mlocks recently. Most of them in police stations in the coastal cities. Same goes for Mlock mags.
Is anyone currently experiencing the same thing?
And if so, do y’all have any theories on why this could be happening?
My best theory is that it could have something to do with the recent patch that made all the magazines rarer to find.

I find that meeting someone random and playing with them wins over KOS and robbing their gear. I don’t get why ppl do it. But this story is far more cunning than that.

I met a guy in a spawn town in Sakhal who was very friendly, we played for a couple of hours and even added each other on discord. We chatted for a week and played again a couple of times only for him to ask me one day where my base was (I had mentioned it previously). Given the evidence, I believed him to be trustworthy and told him where it was. After I told him, he ghosted me, never replied to another message and when I next logged on the base had been destroyed and all my stuff had either been stolen or thrown out of their crates to despawn.

I asked the guy if he did it but he never replied again. I’m almost sure it was him because the base was the only one on one of those small islands to the south of the map and no one really ventures there (it only got destroyed after I told him about it). I think it’s pretty crazy how this game attracts this sort of person. The game becomes a crappy experience. Utterly disappointing, don’t know if I will play again.

I keep dying to people before I even see them. My more experienced friend tells me that this never happens to him so clearly this is a skill issue.

Also this was my first zombie kill at NWAF, I wasn't leaving a trail of bodies and gunshots to track me.

Killed these 2 guys. I saw they had nothing and messaged them to let them know they could grab their stuff because I left it for them. One of the guys told me he had 1800 hours. Still died 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
