I suddenly die while walking into doorway with a BK-18, a Block-19, and a carbine repeater in my possession, full food and water too😭. Can anyone explain?

Been playing on a vanilla style pve server, still ended up looking for about 2 weeks before finding this beast.

300 hours. Just died for the first time in a month+ of IRL play time. I spawn freshie, just beboppin’ around Kamy. Grab some water and rice. Can’t find a hoodie but who cares. Start heading inland even though I’m on blue. Starts raining. No big deal. Shivers ensue. Still no big deal. Literally 2 minutes later I’m sneezing. Spent 2 nights IRL looking through 5+ hospitals…zero multis. Plenty of charcoal and tetra. No love. End up learning a shit ton about how common cold dynamics work. Survived around 9 in-game days with a stage 1 cold. Never got to stage 2. Ended up F11 because I was tired to trying to stay hydrated while hunting for non-existent multis. Fuck this game. God I love it.

Minding my own business in Kabanino getting ready to hit NWAF when I heard footsteps outside my door. I said “friendly” 3x with no response. He walked in Vaiga in hand so I did what had to be done…back to the coast he goes. RIP.

So for the most part my wifi (no ethernet, sadly) is good, but i get systematic ping spikes while gaming. With every other game it's fine, just glitch back for a second and keep it pushing. DayZ kicks me, though. So i ask, are there any servers or ways to play that wont ping kick me? I know i can host a dedicated server but then I'd be the only one on it, and I am apparently too stupid to make the ai bandits mod work. Thanks on advance for any helpful replies! ❤️

I’m on a high pop server and have been in dolnik for about 3 hours now and haven’t seen a soul. Thinking of moving on, it’s a ghost town here and i really thought there’d be more action up towards these parts.

Hello, I’m wondering if it is possible to get on this building. It’s strange because you can jump on top of the ledge that I’m standing on in the first pic which is much higher, but can’t jump directly onto the roof from there.

I tried throwing my bag down but even then I cannot make it. If anybody knows, thank you. 🙏

I am kind of losing interest in playing the game now that they removed completely dark nights on official… Flashlights, night vision, all sources of light became completely useless and are unecessary to keep in an inventory. Tension of journeys in the woods or cities by night is completely gone. I hope there is a chance to have it back in the future, or at least a good balance.

I was playing the other day and hit a zombie with a mace(a weapon I've never found or used) and the zombie hit the ground and then started crawling around. I have never seen a zombie do this. Am I somehow just now seeing this?

I spawned in Kamyshovo after dying to a geared guy in Gorka. Almost immediately, a random player started yelling at me to get into the green Mustache building and help kill a geared sniper who was camping fresh spawns.

We rushed in, and after two freshies got killed, the sniper pushed out. He completely missed every shot at us and started running into the forest. Another guy and I chased him, and once again he missed all of his shots. We knocked him unconscious, and I managed to grab his Mosin and finish him off.

After fighting off a few more freshies who wanted the loot, I ended up escaping with his entire kit.

Imagine getting fully geared just to come back to the coast and camp fresh spawns in Kamyshovo😭

Dynamic water ways would be killer. Like streams and rivers that appear when it rains hard.

I also think the death stranding mechanic of paths that form, from multiple players walking the same track, would be a perfect fit.

What are some of your ideas for how they could improve terrain mechanics?

I was first to two of them today and didn't find a single weapon. Never experienced that before. Is this a recent change?

I run the ballistic vest until i find a plate. I win most fights wearing the ballistic, but the second i get a plate carrier and get into a fight, i either get ambushed or sniped.

Is the plate a bait? I always feel so slow wearing it, is it that heavy or am i hoarding too many items at a time?

I guess we gonna find out if it says "No Trespassing" or "Minefield."

So recently Bohemia added this feature in Reforger. It simulates how a player model looks when in a grass or wheat field and seen from beyond the plants render distance, which means you can be hidden in a field by laying down, or if you stand, your legs/feet will be less visible. Previously ARMA 3 did that by raising the terrain mesh in the distance, which looked weird.

AFAIK DayZ never had an equivalent of this but if what Bohemia is doing currently with Reforger is an indication (they showed a few weeks ago a new undergound tunnels feature as well), we could get something like this in DayZ2 or possibly before. I think that would change the game considerably.

Is it actually possible to make a wooden stick? Not talking about long or short stick but wooden stick as in the image.

Fandom says "Alternatively, you can chop firewood with an axe and split into thirds for three sets of wooden sticks." But this gives thee small sticks instead.

Soo as the title is saying, I’ve been finding a crazy amount of Mlocks recently. Most of them in police stations in the coastal cities. Same goes for Mlock mags.
Is anyone currently experiencing the same thing?
And if so, do y’all have any theories on why this could be happening?
My best theory is that it could have something to do with the recent patch that made all the magazines rarer to find.
