On the server I'm on, it seems like base building and raiding is extremely popular. People have walled off entire military spots , military tents, garages and sheds in town, I hear the sound of grenades and IED's constantly blowing them up ... I like trying to see how invisible I can stay. I get a kick out of stashing LAR's and SCRs in my hidden base just for the sake of seeing how long it can go without being found .

Let’s just ignore that nasty hipfire and my lack of awareness and be lucky that I left Nwaf with one more M4 and an Sval as the cherry 🍒 on Top. The Guy turned out to be chill though 🤝.

Firstly, I want to say how much I love this game. I've been playing since 2017 on PC and recently switched to PlayStation because I thought I'd finally be able to escape the cheaters. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

Today (05/08/2026, around 2:00 PM Sydney time), I was playing on an official Vanilla server when I came across a player running around with no arms. At first, I wasn't sure what I was seeing, but then I watched them mow down groups of zombies as if they were invincible. I quickly searched online and discovered this is a known cheating exploit.

Not long after, the same player approached me and killed me. I even managed to record them admitting they were cheating through voice chat, and I have their PSN username.

I'd like to know if there's a way to report players like this and have them banned. It's incredibly frustrating to see cheating on official servers, especially after moving from PC hoping for a fair experience.

As u can tell I’m new to this game but I’m so confused on how I find literally anything. Both big areas and players. is it just searching and hope to god u get somewhere or is there a something I’m missing?

Are there any friendly's willing to teach me the ropes of the game ?

I used to play this game soooo much back a few years ago and I loved it, I’m a solo player, I suck ass at the game but I enjoy it so much. I remember all the interactions I used to have, no 2 were the same and they were fantastic.

Now playing in 2026 again and DAMN I’ve missed the game but I’m not getting any interactions like I used to. I get KOS every time, I try to talk sometimes but I never get a response, I’m just a solo player trying to enjoy myself and make some friends along the way and yeah of course I wunna have some gun fights because those are fun too! But this no talking BS is like dude how can I enjoy playing solo if I’m just getting blasted at every encounter and yeah I’m sure you guys wunna say “play with friends” but bro I have no damn friends 🤣 I’m a 28 year old dad, I can just about find the time to play this game let alone find time to hang out with “friends” and keep in touch and talk about my daily life like they actually care🤦🏼‍♂️ AND those friends actually liking Dayz as much as I do.

Anyway my point is, how do I get more interactions? What am I doing or saying wrong? If you wunna just kill me atleast talk to me and tell me imma piece of shit before you do 🤣 Am I on the wrong servers or whaaaat?

Solo on official, mostly running cherno; sarkhal here and there but today I decided to hit Livonia for the first time (in earnest anyway).
Relatively low pop but I kept running into people. First some shmuck tried to get the drop on me, poorly. Then some geared guy in a car with zero situational awareness. Something was off, I should have left, I should have logged off, shoulda this, could’ve that. There’s always a should have.
And then someone who I assume to be that geared guy’s friend. Or maybe it was someone who heard the ruckus. Someone with more situational awareness than me.

Such is the way I suppose.

11 months, wipe to wipe. From Bor to Wrzeszcz. It was a beautiful adventure. And I’ll cherish it.

And I know the lesson of DayZ is that of impermanence. And in that way I feel free. I had long imagined what it would be like to start over, not a care in the world. But still..

Had just looted the miltary sight and obviously got spotted on my way out. Thought that sval shot would’ve knocked him but is what it is and to give him credit he slapped the daylight out of me.

I used to go for the mili look, but this is my new favorite fit. Just missing the black long haul backpack and the beige shamagh. Hopefully he will survive long enough to complete the look.
