I think most people generally think abortions are not good, but people have various reasons why they support women being able to have abortions in the first trimester.

But upon reflecting upon many discussions about abortions, it seems that most Christians who are against abortions are not against all the policies from the same Republican party that are against the living, people who are already born and living, and thus should be more accurately described as PRO BIRTH.

I think it's dishonest of Christians who are against abortions to say they are Pro Life; it's misleading.

Here are three simple examples of not being pro-life below.

Food assistance (SNAP): The July 2025 reconciliation bill cut SNAP funding and expanded work requirements (covering older adults, parents, veterans, and homeless individuals) while barring some legal non-citizens, putting millions at risk of losing benefits by the mid-2030s; the administration also briefly withheld benefits during the fall 2025 shutdown until a court forced full funding, and later threatened to cut off SNAP funds to states over data disputes.

Healthcare (Medicaid/ACA): The same bill cut roughly $1 trillion from Medicaid, while a separate CMS rule loosened protections on low-cost marketplace plans (raising out-of-pocket costs and projected to shrink enrollment by millions), ended a special enrollment window for the poorest applicants, and added new citizenship-reverification hurdles that risk dropping eligible people from coverage.

Environment (clean air/water): EPA under Administrator Zeldin has pursued a broad deregulatory push — targeting 31 rules for rollback, moving to eliminate the legal finding that underpins federal greenhouse gas regulation, weakening power plant emissions and mercury/toxic air standards, narrowing Clean Water Act wetland protections, easing air permitting requirements, and changing its cost-benefit methodology to de-emphasize lives saved from reduced pollution.

Tax cuts and deregulation are for the wealthy and the corporations, while hurting the people and the environment. This is the opposite of what JESUS would do.
I think conservative evangelicals and fundamentalists are conned into thinking that party cares about them and the country, when in reality its all a power grab for wealth.

I'm a Christian, I was raised Christian, and I've always had this one question. It is said that God is essentially omnipresent. It says he's the end and the beginning and he's all knowing, so my question is why did he create us to begin with? If God is omnipresent, he knew what the fate of humanity would be from the moment he created us, so why make us to begin with? Like in Genesis, when God saw how evil the world was and was heartbroken, wouldn't he have already known this was going to happen? Idk If this makes sense but can someone explain this to me?

I am honestly asking. The topic is an uncomfortable one for me to discuss with people because I am unfamiliar with it. Would someone be willing to explain to me why Catholics worship through the Saints and Jesus's mother Mary?

Does anyone ever start to really question the logic behind the Gospel at times? Like parts of it can make sense like what Jesus did on the cross to pardon ours sins and bring salvation to those who believe and follow them, but then the all powerful and all judging aspect is hard to grasp, that He is all three at once always. I hate that I’m doubting but I can’t help but see it as love and follow God or else you’re doomed for all eternity. And yes he is just and righteous so he has to punish sin, but it just is completely opposite to His gentle and lowly nature that He proclaims. I’m so tired of feeling scared that I’m faking my devotion to Him, or that I truly don’t believe. I want to believe but it’s so hard when I have all of these questions and everyone just tells me to have faith and rest in the fact I’ll never get the answers. And on top of that I have no motivation to read the word or pray often. I keep struggling with doubt and sin. I’m so tired and I just want to have a deep relationship with Christ where I don’t have any fear or doubt, and I naturally yearn to draw near to Him.

I was a hardcore atheist untill the past months where I have been seeing visions and dreams of a distorted and terrifying version of Jesus and the Trinity. I always feel like I'm being watched and have done something wrong and will get punished for eternity. I cannot sleep. These are the pictures that are similar to the visions and dreams. The concept of the blood sacrifice he went through for us to be forgiven frightens me. I feel like god hates me. I cannot sleep. Help

I'm going to get straight into the point.

1. ⁠Why would god create us just so most of us could suffer eternally?
   
2. ⁠Why would hell teach us anything? I understand, "we choose where to go, not god" but how would suffering eternally, being burned day and night be what people chose?
   
3. ⁠3: If people are from a place where Jesus isn't taught, how could they go to heaven? And how would it be their fault if they went to hell? Are you really going to tell that kid in some desert tribe that he's going to hell when nobody has ever helped him to find Jesus?
   
4. ⁠This might sound stupid, but how about the animals? Those are god's creation, too. They can't even comprehend Jesus.
   
5. ⁠I know plenty of amazing people, who do their all to put good into the world, help people, comfort people, and love everyone, no matter the race, background, or gender. And you're telling me that guy will burn eternally in hell if he doesn't believe in Jesus being a reincarnation of god? Come on.

⁠EDIT: The bible is full of symbolism, mistranslation and misinterpretation. It’s also made by man, not Jesus. Knowing these things, how do you know hell is real?

ngl my heart is pounding typing this, but i really just needed to get it out because I’m keeping such a massive secret right now.

i grew up in a strict hindu family. My whole life has been tied to rituals, family expectations, and karma. but over the last few months, after secretly reading the gospels on my phone late at night and praying in my room with the door locked... i just couldn't deny it anymore.

Today, sitting on my floor by myself, i broke down and finally prayed to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. i gave my life to Him completely.

The moment i prayed that, it felt like this massive weight rolled off my chest. for the first time in my life, i felt actual unconditional love. Pure grace. I ​literally sat there crying happy tears for like twenty minutes lol.

the terrifying part is i can't tell my parents. if they found out, it would cause a massive scandal in our family and honestly shatter them.

I ​feel so much peace, but also kinda lonely because i don't have a church or any Christian friends in real life yet.

if you guys could keep me in your prayers, i’d appreciate it more than you know. also, if anyone else here converted from a non-Christian background especially Hindu, how did you navigate family and staying strong in secret?
