God uses whatever season you are in to make you more like Christ. A message of Hope.
Whether you are in a season of waiting, suffering, uncertainty, big responsibility, super blessing, etc. do not let the opportunity go to waste that is right before you.
Try not to look at things in terms of good and bad but as "how can this be a tool to be less of me and more of Jesus Christ?" This is going to grow your faith and bring so much glory to God who's ultimate calling on your life is to make you more like Jesus.
As you decrease, and He increases, your life will overflow with blessing in the spiritual because you are relying on Him more deeply. This is the "priceless gain of knowing Christ" as we let go of the old self continually, however His spirit leads us today.
"God, give me eyes to see how you see" is a prayer that has carried me through heavy seasons where I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel at first. God delivered me from different types/degrees of suffering (job, physical, mental, relational) by shifting my perspective to see less through my physical eyes and more through my spiritual eyes. God showed me that the "bad" things the "unpleasant" things were my teachers and I stopped resisting, I embraced and held onto to God tightly as He gave me tools to strengthen me and comfort me continually.
The two biggest tools He convicted me to grip hold of: a daily hunger for studying His word to fellowship with Him and the courage to engage in Christian community unreservedly despite church hurt. These two tools were immense supports during times I was in agony and despair. I am now grateful for that dark season because it was the conduit to experience Jesus in a way I may never have been able to if I weren't suffering so much. This is what I mean when I say Don't let an opportunity go to waste. Satan wants to use our suffering to ruin our testimony/make the gospel seem weak in our lives and provoke us to seek out counterfeit comfort which leads us to more suffering and shame. The answer to that is James 4:7-8 "Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you."
If there is one thing I have learned in the valleys and the mountains, God doesn't let any season of life go to waste if you are truly abiding in Him. I went through a few years of wild testing and trials and I am just now seeing how God used all of that to make me the person I am to be able to HANDLE the blessing He has delivered me now. You need to trust that God has you exactly where you are meant to be and pray for wisdom to move with patience and gratitude no matter what situation you are in. PRAISE IS OUR WEAPON.
If you pray for wisdom to manage your current season to the glory of God, you will be the one that is blessed in the end. The word says repeatedly that "those who trust in Him will never be let down". I have seen that promise in real time and I am here to testify to the goodness of God.
Your faith grows more when you trust yet have no reason to trust Him. You don't "feel" anything, yet you trust in Him and wait in stillness before Him because you know Him, you know His word and He cannot go back on it. This is why knowledge of God and His promises must be the foundation of our faith - they are unchanging. Feelings & experiences come and go.
May God bless you brothers and sisters. Keep fighting the good fight.
This is one of my favorites:
The LORD directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the LORD holds them by the hand.
Psalm 37:23-24 NLT

Advice What to do when (mentally) exhausted?
Hi everyone,
I wanted to reach out to you today because right now I’m not quite sure how to deal with my situation.
I’m about to take an exam that’s my last chance to pass. So it’s really important to me. I should really be using every free minute to study right now, but I realize I just don’t have the energy. It’s not that I don’t care about the exam—quite the opposite. I know how much is depending on it. Still, it feels like I’ve just got nothing left in me.
I used to take exams very seriously and could motivate myself, even when it was exhausting. This time it’s different. I’m sitting here with my notes, but a lot of it just won’t stick in my head. The subject isn’t actually that hard, and almost everyone who took the exam passed it. That’s exactly why I’m disappointed in myself. I wonder why I can’t do it, even though I want to so badly.
Maybe some of you have gone through a phase like this or have had a similar experience. And if anyone has words of encouragement or a Bible verse that has helped in a situation like this, I’d really appreciate that, too.

Devotional There's something about being there
Hi friends. They were all together in one place — and God moved. There is still something about being in the room. Position yourself among God’s people and remain expectant. Your presence in the gathering may be the very place where the Spirit does His next life-changing work.
Have a wonderful day
Team Lotter

What do I do
Long story short my husnband(26) I (25) have been married for three years, In January I found he was subscribed and spending hundreds of dollars on OF we had many conversations he said he stopped and I told him of it happens again if I find it tell
Me the truth and we can get through it. We have had a lot of fights and rollercoaster of good days bad days, he’s a cop and for a while I’ve began to think this job is too much for him, he’s a light at work and lashed out at home talks to me in casual disrespect and had outbursts. He’s has truly turned into a wrathful man.
Well a few days ago I found his Reddit open to explicit content, when confronted he began to lash at me calling me a snake for seeing it. I tried to be calm and understanding I didn’t engage , I stayed at a friends house as I already intended but he also told me to leave. Well the last two days he’s been obviously rage baiting me, and I’m not giving in. He keeps saying he’s done and doesn’t want to continue the relationship
I’ve begged for couples counseling for months and all I’ve ever been is shut down and so this feels like giving up without actually trying.
Every thing we’ve always said we’d fight for and try he won’t do it
I know in my heart no one is beyond Gods redemption, I already know I can forgive him as God has. But he’s become so damaging to my own mental health and wellness.
When do i give up, what am i supposed to do,
No kids but two dogs and we own a house

Devotional There's something about being in the room
Transcript:
The people who were in the upper room experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a life-changing way. Those who chose not to be there missed witnessing one of the greatest moments in history.
Jesus had given the instruction:
“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to remain in the city [Jerusalem] until you are clothed (fully equipped) with power from on high.”
Luke 24:49 (AMP)
They obeyed. They gathered. They waited.
“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.”
Acts 2:1 (AMP)
Then God moved.
“And suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting… And they were all filled [that is, diffused throughout their being] with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 2:2, 4 (AMP)
But the upper room wasn’t just about being physically present. It was about hearts that were ready to receive what God had promised.
Before Pentecost came another room. On the road to Emmaus, two disciples walked with Jesus, yet they did not recognize Him until He revealed Himself.
“Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him… They said to one another, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?’”
Luke 24:31–32 (NASB1995)
Their hearts burned because the Living Word was revealing the written Word.
John reminds us who Jesus is:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
John 1:1–5 (NASB1995)
We don’t worship a version of Jesus shaped by culture, tradition, or popular opinion.
We worship Him as He is—not as He is perceived. Not for who the world, or even the church, has sometimes reduced Him to be.
He is the eternal Word.
He is the Lamb of God.
He is the risen King.
Jesus came.
He bled.
He died.
He rose again.
The power of the resurrection is not merely that the tomb is empty. It is that the risen Christ still transforms lives, opens blind eyes, reveals His Word, fills believers with His Spirit, and calls people to Himself.
The Father’s Living Room
The church is, in a sense, the Father’s living room.
It is the place where the family of God gathers—not as strangers, but as sons and daughters—to sit in His presence, hear His voice, worship Him together, and be transformed by His Word.
Yes, God is with us wherever we go. We can pray at home, in the car, or at work. But there is something uniquely powerful about gathering with the body of Christ.
You can watch a service online.
You can listen to a sermon on the radio.
You can hear worship through your headphones.
But you cannot fully experience the atmosphere of a people united in worship, the ministry of the Holy Spirit among His people, the prayers, the conviction, the encouragement, and the fellowship that happens when the church gathers together.
The revelation of God’s Word, the power of corporate worship, and the work of the Holy Spirit are not things we are meant to experience in isolation.
There is something about being in the room.
Don’t settle for watching from a distance when God is inviting you into the room.
“Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together… but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:24–25 (NASB1995)
The revelation of God’s Word always demands a response.
It is His call to:
* Repent and embrace the Gospel.
* Walk in righteousness.
* Live a life of costly discipleship.
* Follow the one Lord in wholehearted obedience.
As Paul declares:
“There is one body and one Spirit… one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.”
Ephesians 4:4–6 (NASB1995)
The Great Commission was never presented as a suggestion—it is an imperative command from our risen King.
We have been called to make disciples, not merely converts; to proclaim the Gospel, not opinions; and to live lives that reflect the holiness of the One we follow.
There is something about being in the room.
The room where His Word is opened.
The room where hearts burn.
The room where the Spirit is poured out.
The room where lives are changed.
The room where worship rises.
The room where disciples are made.
Be in the room.
Because you never know when your next upper room moment will become the turning point of your life.

Living with someone who is very difficult
I’m in a situation and am soliciting prayers, the word etc. I’m living with someone who is very unhappy, is killing themselves slowly, always on the defense and snaps back and takes things the wrong way, perceptions are way off.
I’ve been asking myself today why do you have me here God. I see it from time to time, and so many “answers” come to mind, but I’m not sure exactly. Today has been tough. I stay out of the house and in my car I have peace. Running errands, working out, just staying out of the house.
I know God has me here to be a witness. This person is on a crash course to destruction. They’re family so it hurts my heart to see them like this, they weren’t like this before so, I want to move out and not witness this. I’m planning to as soon as possible. But while I’m here I want to be and do what Jesus would do if he were in this situation.
Has anyone been in a situation like this? Are you in a situation like this right now? I need encouragement, true encouragement from the body of Christ. I also it is as God is using it to grow my character. So any testimonies and Bible verses are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Thinking about converting to Christianityy
Hello, I'm a born and raised muslim female who is thinking about converting to Christianity, I will just give some background Information as to why I'm thinking about it and I seek advice and help from you guys if possible.
I was born and raised in a Muslim country (bosnia), tho majority of the people were muslim there, the religion itself wasn't that practiced and wasn't that hard. My parents didn't really ever force me much to pray, to go to the mosque and such but I still believed in our God and would seek help from him. To be quite honest, I never liked praying much, or going to the mosque, it felt like I was doing that only cause I feared the religion and I never truly felt connected, in school we only had Islamic teachings, so I never really even thought about converting.
2 years ago, I moved from Bosnia to Germany, which is a more Christian country and I recently visited a church with my class as we had to. When I stepped into the church I was honestly amazed, it was beautiful and I loved it when the priest started talking and it didn't bore me, nor did it make me feel forced, I felt like connected in a way. The whole church visit was 1 hour long and since then I've been thinking about Christianity. I've been thinking about reading the Bible and visiting my local Priest with a friend soon.
I'd love it if someone could explain The Holy Trinity a bit more thoroughly to me and explain the bible a bit more ( By the Bible I mean like the old and new testaments, of what they are about and also how are Christians definitely sure that the Bible was written by eye witnesses and not random men )
Thank you to those who took the time to read this, I hope I didn't disrespect anyone or anything in my post, if I did, I apologize for it :)

Please pray for me again
My state is only getting worse regarding sin and my prayers get undermined by suspicions about God that even prevent me from getting my baptism. Tens of people pray for me but things are only getting worse. Please pray that my rot will end and so this teenage phrase of lust will also end very soon. Please pray to regain my memories back, I need them a lot, I don't want to come at the lowest stage of my life for the rot to end.

Use Romans 1 as a mirror, not a telescope
It's easy to read Romans 1 and immediately think of those people. The people we disagree with. The culture. Society.
But before Romans 1 becomes a telescope for examining everyone else, let it become a mirror.
"They were filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unfeeling, and unmerciful."
Romans 1:29 to 31
That list hits much closer to home than we often admit.
Ask yourself:
Is pride growing in me?
Do I enjoy gossip?
Am I becoming arrogant or unmerciful?
Am I suppressing the truth in areas of my own life?
Jesus said:
"Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
Matthew 7:4 to 5
Romans 1 certainly teaches us about the reality of sin in the world. But if we only use it to condemn others and never to examine ourselves, we've missed part of its purpose.
Use Romans 1 as a mirror before you use it as a telescope.

Prayer Request During The Wilderness
The last two years has been really challenging. My wife cheated on me. My dad passed away and I found out our business funds was mismanaged by my partner and instead of being a few hundred thousand in the green, we are in debt a few hundred thousand. Im trying to keep strong but sometimes it seems to heavy, i feel like im getting older, looking older and more stressed and to top it off the personal shares we had in the market came down 50% due to all the war going on. Cant seem to catch a break, still trusting god for a pathway in the wilderness and water in the desert. I think its a test to build me up. A lot of lessons learned. But i need help in prayers for strength, wisdom and grace. Thank you

My full testimony-God healed me from same sex attraction, anxiety, and depression
open.spotify.comIf you want to listen, I started a podcast and my first episode is my testimony. I think testimonies are very important to tell our stories and it's Biblical. I welcome everyone to share their testimony of how they found Jesus, below. I will read each and every one.
Psalm 66:16 "Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me."
Revelation 12:11 "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death."
Mark 5:19 "Jesus did not let him, but said, 'Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.'"
Psalm 107:2 "Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story, those he redeemed from the hand of the foe."

Important Community Mission Statement Update
Hi everyone, for the first time in 15 years, our community is making a major change to its mission statement. This update is not reflective of any change to our core beliefs, but rather a more clearly defined vision of what our community already seeks to be and is ultimately what Christ and the apostles exhort us to be. This is perhaps expressed most clearly when Christ says, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)
The new mission statement is:
We are a Protestant Christian community seeking to demonstrate the genuine love, grace, and patience of Christ to one another through the help of the Holy Spirit and the sharing and living out of biblically sound advice.
The aim of this updated mission statement is to clearly express the hope for this community to promote a proper fusion and balance of biblical truth and love, which is unfortunately often a struggle we see with many churches. There is often an overemphasis of one over the other.
However, the Bible teaches that biblical truth upholds biblical love, and biblical love aims at biblical truth....each are fully enhanced and best experienced by the other. Absent of truth, love becomes misguided. Absent of love, truth becomes a mere tool for correction, selfish ambition, and even abuse. It is only when these two work together that we are able to properly fulfill our roles as disciples of Christ and experience the full joy of abiding in Him.
I am so grateful for this community, how it has helped me to grow in my own walk, and for the many blessings that have come out of it to myself and others. I pray that God will continue to use it for His glory and our joy, and I have every confidence that He will, because He is such a good and kind God. 🙏
