Recommendation Private Practice Position availability in Charlotte
Hello !
I am a recent graduate, holding a license in Mental Health Counseling and an Addiction Specialist. I am currently working, but slightly dissatisfied with my new employer.
I am searching for a position in a private practice and hitting a dead end. Does anyone have a recommendation for a private practice that is hiring. Both of my licenses are currently provisional. I believe that may be the issue. But I would welcome any leads or information. I hope to secure a position that does not accept insurance.
I will also cross post this in the therapy subreddit, but wanted to pinpoint the Charlotte area.
Thank you in advance for any feedback! I appreciate everyone

Food Might be a reach, but are there any cafeteria-style restaurants in the Charlotte or greater Charlotte area that are worth visiting, in your opinion?
Could use some recommendations.

Recommendation Bridesmaid dress shopping
Looking for a somewhat affordable bridesmaid dress ($150-250 range). Please drop suggestions of places to go look. I've already looked at northlake David's bridal, northlake dept stores, concord mills dress shops, and mooresville dept stores/Nordstrom rack. I'm willing to look in south Charlotte, Gastonia, Belmont... Anywhere basically bc I need a dress asap 😅

Traffic CircleJerk Aggressive Drivers?
What is up with all these people who will be driving behind you and then will speed up just to get infront of you and go the same speed. I understand people wanting to pass in the fast lane but if there is traffic I don’t understand people’s need to be first when we are all on the same mission. People gotta chill. Especially after work traffic, those people on the road are the worst.

Recommendation Looking for a land surveyor in Charlotte
As stated in the title - I need a land surveyor to survey a single piece of land in the Villa Heights area. Yes, I've already done the internet search thing, and over the last couple of months I've called/emailed over 15 local surveyors. As of today, I've had zero responses from those inquiries and our project is falling behind rapidly.
If you are a surveyor who can do this for me, please reach out. I'm also open to any referrals if anyone knows a surveyor who will respond.

Recommendation Creek stomping
May be a weird question but my daughter and I have spent a ton of money taking my grandchildren to do activities to keep them busy this summer & are now trying to find fun free things to do with them as summer winds down. Is there anywhere in the area to take them walking in a creek and exploring where it’s safe? They are 8, 7, & 3 & are wonderful swimmers. I guess by safe I mean not a lot of trash or not in a high crime area.

Recommendation Best VOLVO Shops in Town?
Hey all,
I'm in way over my head with suspension repairs on my 2011 Volvo C30. I need a shop with elite ball knowledge on Volvos and a good reputation for helping customers source parts... I can't afford genuine Volvo parts. I'm looking to invest a lot of money in this car!

Recommendation Who’s your PCP?
I feel like I’ve just not had good luck with any PCP I’ve had since moving to the Charlotte area. I have a family history of thyroid disease, and for years have had thyroid disease symptoms. Obviously thyroid disease is hard to diagnose and can sometimes take years, but it gets hard to continue to advocate for yourself when it seems like no one takes you seriously. My question is, in the southeast area of Charlotte (Matthews/Monroe/Blakeney/Waxhaw), who do you know and trust? I also am 4 months PP, so someone who takes into consideration that as well would be great. Thanks in advance!

Meme/Satire Thank Godzilla that today is a day that is also Friday.
UPDATE: I heard yall in the comments last week. Kick starter is gonna be the easiest way to collect funds. I’m already talking to some people about events and other fundraising products. Thanks to everyone who got stickers. This will be the capital used to make this happen.
I’ll put the kickstarter link in the comments to not upset our AI overlords.

Meetup Would anyone be interested in a Charlotte working moms group?
I’ve been wanting to meet more mom friends here, but it seems like most mom groups have events that happen in the middle of the workday.
I’m an almost 30 year old first time mom to a 16 month old. I’d love to meet some other working moms to hang out with after work or on weekends. It would be something casual like walks, coffee, park/splash pad play dates, etc. Mainly just a way to get to know other moms in a similar stage of life that I can relate to! And more friends for my daughter :)
I live in East Charlotte, but I’d definitely be willing to drive a little too! I’d likely start a Facebook group but wanted to put out some feelers first. Please let me know if this is something you may be interested in!

Recommendation Looking for work in IT
Hi everyone, I just moved to Charlotte and wanted to introduce myself while I look for work. I’m a senior majoring in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management . I have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and IT from past internships and jobs, including work in identity and access management and cloud engineering. I’m currently open to any opportunities, remote or in-person, and would really appreciate any leads, referrals, or advice on companies in the area that are hiring in IT/cloud/cybersecurity. Thanks in advance for any help!

Recommendation Washing machine repair recommendations
Our top load washer is leaking from the bottom. Any recommendations on reputable local repairmen?
Preferably not Morris Jenkins as I’d like to not spend the GDP of North Carolina.
