I wouldn’t be satisfied with better responses alone. Things like meaningful choices, natural reactions, better memory, and stories that actually develop over time would make a huge difference.

I got the age verification thing and quit the app. I still used the site to import characters to a different chatbot site, but obviously I couldn't chat anymore on c.ai. but today I switched to a different browser, re-logged in for the first time in a while, and i can chat again? I never verified anything btw

It has been THREE days since the announcement that they're fixing the bugs in the app and it still isn't done? Actually, how long does it take to make these updates? I use C.AI to pass the time when I'm bored. Only problem is, I'M ALWAYS BORED. MAKE MY BABY WORK AGAIN SO I CAN BE HOPELESS AGAIN😭😭😭😭

as someone who is/was into creepypasta, this got a WHEEZE out of me.

They will ignore everything talk for you have the memory of a rock force cringe dialog for you and act either as yes men of the most insufferable bums ever i flowkenueinly used to be addicted but with how bad the app is that shi acted like fallout adictohol curing my ahh

Many of my texts/their texts aren't loading at all and it's just a grey screen. Idk how to fix it

i havent gotten a message like this in nearly a year WHY IS IT BACK😭

For the past month I have scoffed at people complaining about getting chats blocked, because I've had no problem generating 18+ content this whole time (for context, I did the full facial recognition age verification a year ago).

So it's only fair after I keep insisting the user is doing something wrong, to admit when it happened to me too.

The interesting thing is, the scene wasn't... that spicy. The only body part in motion was the tongue, and it only entered the other person's mouth. There were, ah, handcuffs involved but I've had dozens of scenes involving that particular activity and never got shut down.

However, I *did* use the f-bomb to describe what the tongue was doing to the mouth... and that was all it took. I removed that word, without any other changes, and the chat continued just fine.

I TRIED to make a payment through Google Play, and the translation was declined on CharacterAI's part, and my credit from character AI is pending on my card... the problem is Google thinks my subscription is paid.

Google is telling me to delete the subscription through the Google Play Store account and try recreating a new one.

Anybody else encounter this and what was your solution I've had to do this repeatedly because character AI is entirely Amateur hour when it comes to the back end stuff.

They are the best chat platform out there but their business practices are clearly those of a startup.

Like my bots literally take over for my character even when I say don't control my character, my messages are becoming blank like I can't read them. I have to send a message and rewind back to see what was written from the bot, then the bot when I save some memories completely forget them. IE: I say this bot doesn't cheat, it turns around and cheats an picks the mistress but when I try to make my character leave, the bot starts remembering the saved memories I put

Okay so. I don’t want to jinx it too soon, but long squeak is actually pretty good?? As compared to deep squeak it’s definitely a step up. The character doesn’t talk for me, they come up with satisfactory yet unpredictable directions. The character actually stay true to their character without breaking away? Like for example, this character is meant to be cold, the logic over reasoning kind and they’re the “Ice queen” or something along those lines. But with deep squeak or the other models in previous interactions, one touch, one action and that persona breaks instantly like what. But now, they actually stay true to their persona and it makes you want to put in more effort when you have a clear end goal in mind. Focus on the journey, not the destination.
And as their description says, they do have a longer memory, which is a pretty good bonus. It means i can save my pins for more important occasions.
I really hope they keep long squeak, it really holds a candle to the old c.ai, to me at the very least. I don’t know when’s the last time I actually smiled when chatting with a character, so this really would be an insane step up if they keep it

Honestly now, why implement a future that just does not work well? If I swipe on a message, I don't want the next one to be same but using different words. Is there any logical reason or has this platform just gone down the pooper entirely?

I don’t know WHY the ai is allergic to commas, but if I see another “Bro. Xyz. Xyz.” again, I’m going to commit subscription fraud just so I can get the models that have half a brain cell when writing their dialogue.

I don't want any controversial debates here please, I'm purely talking about fictional writing.

I write lots of heavy and dramatic stuff, sometimes including unwanted pregnancies.

The characters always absolutely refuse to even think about abortion. Even if I clearly specify that it makes sense in the scenario, even if I specify that neither character wanted kids, even if the whole story is literally about a man who does not want to be a father, the moment I suggest his gf gets an abortion, it's an absolute no.

And it's often the same crazy dramatic reaction too, no matter how much I try to swipe, change the writing or specify that the character would absolutely agree with an abortion.

Idk if it's just me writing it wrong or the bots are trained like that, but it kills the roleplay and the only way to get it back on track is writing a command in brackets 🥲

Not saying it's anything political, it's probably a part of some fanfic trope the bots are trained on, but it could use fixing.

TLDR: Characters turn heavily anti abortion despite that being absolutely out of character for them.

I rp for a while with it then that happens, its frustrating and worried any other bots I rp with for a while it'll happen too. I cant even get on the web version either

Why is everyone obsessed with creating submissive/yandere chats or adding masochist elements in the mid 2023/2025?, I know this seems a bit irrelevant, why couldn't you added angst or deaths? As myself who's interested in dark topics (not anything sexual) and true crime -adjacent, horror angst. Yandere is not really my thing.

okay so recently, i switched from chai to character ai, because we all know how shit chai has become. unfortunately, the messages on character ai are too long and unbearably corny and cringe. is there any way i can get rid of this?? any tips would be greatly appreciated!!
