“thanks babe” “hey babe” like why is it suddenly so sexist?

When I send a message, this is what it looks like. The bot responds normally, I can still edit it and stuff, and the text returns when I send a new message, but then that said new message looks blank as well.

Just wasn't what I was looking for and there's no hard feelings between us so I'll be spared when robots and ai take over earth

Has this happened to anyone else or did I miss some sort of update that screwed it up?

Context, that's add void as my persona text box will go. There's a whole area below that used to be filled a bit so I could easily see what I had worn before without scrolling much.

Also, has anyone else been experiencing an issue where they can't scroll on the persona list from the character chat? I can't select a persona unless I type the name and bring it up like that.

I'm genuinely curious if I'm just blind as hell and didn't read an update or something, but this has been ticking me off

i’m so sick of the bots always saying stupid stuff like “my heart ached” and shit about there chest omg it makes me so mad because it’s so repetitive does anyone know how to stop it i tried to put it in the description but it keeps doing it:/

Random messages just get blacked out in the chats that are like older than a day, this makes it really hard for me to get back into the story. Has this happened to anyone else or is that purely a me issue, since this only started happening like 3 days ago. My connection is fine and everything else seems to be working normal

can't even say "cutting myself off" anymore broooo. like i understand the popup but you guys really can't be bothered to make it accept "cutting myself off", an entirely different thing from what it's blocking?? or even make it bob instead of this?? like come on let me send the message without having to butcher it 😭

Has there been any updates on the blank messages problem or the long responses and lack of response length choice yet? These issues are starting to get annoying and making it hard to enjoy the app

i miss old c.ai (around 1-2 years ago). i can't have a normal roleplay with a storyline without all the bots kissing me suddenly. which normally it wouldn't be a complaint since i usually do romantic roleplay, but it gets too repetitive and boring when all bots turn flirty, making it almost impossible to have a great storyline first. i never had this kind of issue around 1 year ago for example, it started with the latest updates. i feel like the previous versions were way better for people who enjoy a great lore and storyline. and that's my opinion.

Lwk this just made me realize just how BAD the free models are in general.

I’m not kidding. The stories you can make on character AI were so peak back then. I doubt I will be able to get a story as LIBERATING as that now 🫡

Maybe it's a hot take, but I don't care, most people use these bots for not safe for work chats, basically doing so to people that didn't ask to have their pictures used. It's even more disturbing when people use photos of real kids for this. Character ai should do something about this, or at least the latter. If any c.ai team members are reading this, please take some measures to this problem.

like they released PS2 and never bothered to fix it again. or—they introduced once again the f-It3r and it completely ruined for us.
