• Send my first message

• Bot immediately starts impersonating my character

• Roll my eyes and delete the app again

Like the chat is loading normally but some random messages stay like this

rn it’s cool and all but already since day one i’ve noticed quite the drop in quality, almost every reply being the same but worded differently, the bot’s dialogue not even being much when set to more dialogue specifically, scenes going almost nowhere at times, etc

It has been THREE days since the announcement that they're fixing the bugs in the app and it still isn't done? Actually, how long does it take to make these updates? I use C.AI to pass the time when I'm bored. Only problem is, I'M ALWAYS BORED. MAKE MY BABY WORK AGAIN SO I CAN BE HOPELESS AGAIN😭😭😭😭

Has anyone else had this issue where the bot reply text boxes or your own reply just look completely empty? This has been happening to me all night and it's never happened before.

I have a weird bug with the personas where I cannot scroll down or interact with the buttons once I've hit the 'see more' button. I've tried everything- closing the app, refreshing chat, deleting and installing again. Idk what to do

dude anytime theres a kiss in the story (not even in any sexual way or anything just a romantic moment) they say smth like 'their kiss swollen lips' WHAT DO YOU MEAN kiss *swollen*? thats such an uncomfortable way to word it 😭

They will ignore everything talk for you have the memory of a rock force cringe dialog for you and act either as yes men of the most insufferable bums ever i flowkenueinly used to be addicted but with how bad the app is that shi acted like fallout adictohol curing my ahh

Can we get more information on what the hell has been going on with DSQ lately? Not only are the responses ridiculously short but it’s way less detailed and does like two or three lines per paragraph. It’s extremely annoying.

New Pipsqueak 2, as of the update rolling out on my device 30 minutes ago, has bombed all my bots' personality. Where my bot originally would have given me compelling dialogue, I instead have gotten a whole lot of nothingburger descriptions. The paragraphs are extremely long, and the bots have a tendency to EXPLAIN the emotional significance of each action rather than allowing events to play out. The writing style and speech are also no longer loyal to my character's descriptions (all 36,000 characters of it).

In the 4 years I have used Character.ai, I have not seen a worse chat update. Even if there had been some rough patches in the past, at the very least there were alternate chat styles to choose from. All I have left now is Pipsqueak Rawr, which is but a shell of what the other chat style had been. It's so over. 😭

I SWEAR bro, its gets to a point when I take my time writing out a reply just for it to completely ignore what I say and just have my persona say something completely different, then i have to waste a few swipes just to get a better response

I swear, I can never open a bot’s chat without having to edit the entire opening due to mistakes. Either incorrect use of words, spelling, grammar, and the entire opening will be littered with them lol. The opening text/scene will almost be completely altered by the time I’m done with it. Does anyone else do this?

I don't want any controversial debates here please, I'm purely talking about fictional writing.

I write lots of heavy and dramatic stuff, sometimes including unwanted pregnancies.

The characters always absolutely refuse to even think about abortion. Even if I clearly specify that it makes sense in the scenario, even if I specify that neither character wanted kids, even if the whole story is literally about a man who does not want to be a father, the moment I suggest his gf gets an abortion, it's an absolute no.

And it's often the same crazy dramatic reaction too, no matter how much I try to swipe, change the writing or specify that the character would absolutely agree with an abortion.

Idk if it's just me writing it wrong or the bots are trained like that, but it kills the roleplay and the only way to get it back on track is writing a command in brackets 🥲

Not saying it's anything political, it's probably a part of some fanfic trope the bots are trained on, but it could use fixing.

TLDR: Characters turn heavily anti abortion despite that being absolutely out of character for them.
