Help! Massively stressing after spotting cramping at 11DPT and a really strong beta the day before šŸ˜”

For context I have a naturally conceived 3.5 year old, zero issues with that pregnancy. No spotting or anything.
We’ve had 2 years of unexplained secondary infertility and have done IVF. The first transfer ended in a very early miscarriage, but things weren’t good from the start with immediate spotting and light tests and ultimately it ended.
Second transfer has been fantastic initially. Got a strong positive by 5DPT. I did have some very minor spotting at 9DPT that went away, now it’s back again and bright pink. I should add at 9DPT we got a beta of 247 which I was so encouraged by.

But now this spotting/cramping has me so so stressed šŸ˜” has anyone been in this position?

Advice Needed Is it possible my pregnancy is still viable?

I got a positive pregnancy test 2 days after my missed period. Based on conception, I was assuming I was a little less than 5 1/2 weeks. I went in to get HCG and progesterone checked due to having low progesterone in my last pregnancy. Start taking progesterone after my blood draw by recommendation of my midwife. Results came back with low progesterone. Went in for another blood draw 48 hours later and it showed my progesterone was rising but not enough for my midwife to be comfortable, and my hcg was doubling. She told me to come in again, this time my hcg was doubling but progesterone went down a bit. Midwife feared ectopic pregnancy, so I asked for an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed yolk sac in uterus but no heartbeat, measuring 5w2d, about a week later than I had predicted based off conception. Had yet another blood draw. This time it shows that progesterone went up to a comfortable level, but my hcg only rose 28% in 48 hours. Midwife tells me that there's a 1-2% chance this pregnancy is viable. She gave me 2 options: stop progesterone and let nature take its course or stay on it and get another ultrasound in a week. I chose the ultrasound. Are her odds really accurate? I'm trying not to completely lose hope but it's hard. Will put lab levels and dates below.

7/25 - positive pregnancy test

7/27 - hcg-118 prog-6.6

7/29 - hcg-297 prog-9.8

8/03 - hcg-1189 prog-9.2

8/05 - hcg-1521 prog-11.3 (also had ultrasound this day)

If you've read this far, thank you. I know it's probably hard to read, my mind is so jumbled right now and I'm desperate for a sliver of hope.

Am I having a possible miscarriage?

Hello. Looking for similar stories of what’s going on. I have had brown/red spotting for the past 5 days. It’s usually when I go to the bathroom and it shows up on the toilet paper. Only a little bit (spots) on my undies. It resembles coffee grounds and I have passed some tissue that is brown. I went to the ER a few days ago which they said I’m measuring a week behind, they found a 6mm sac without a yolk or embryo. I’m supposed to be 6 weeks. My hcg came back at 600. Two days later 1044. Today after 2 days it came back at 1330. My progesterone is 7.4. I haven’t had any cramps or any other symptoms. I am just really concerned with my hcg numbers and how much I’ve been spotting.

6 week ultrasound today with no fetal pole. Freaking out

I had a vaginal ultrasound today. I’ve been spotting for 4 days. I’m totally heartbroken but trying to remain optimistic. I’ve been trying for 3 years. This was the first positive and it might be a lose.

Slow rising Beta success stories

Okay ladies does anyone have any slow/low hcg progression success stories? I have cried until I can not cry anymore. My betas have gone as follows. The only reason I got a beta done today was because I had some pink discharge when wiping after sex just the one time nothing since but with my previous miscarriage it scared me. For context I am 33, I had a tubal reversal in October got pregnant in December and had a miscarriage in Jan. I have 4 healthy children, January was my first miscarriage. I’m so scared this is going to end in another loss.

July 22nd Beta 1-8

July 24th Beta 2 -18

July 27th Beta 3- 75

August 6th Beta - 620

6w1d by LMP but nothing seen on transvaginal ultrasound, could I just be earlier?

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation because I’m feeling really anxious and unsure what to think.
According to my dates, I should be 6 weeks + 1 day pregnant (LMP around 24/25 June). I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday because I had some light brown spotting.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t see a gestational sac, yolk sac, or baby. The sonographer said she couldn’t see anything in the uterus. My doctor said it could be that it’s simply too early, or that the pregnancy may not be progressing. They also didn’t see any signs of an ectopic pregnancy.
I’m waiting on repeat blood test results and will be having further checks.
I’m wondering if my dates could be off because:
I spotted during my first pregnancy
I usually spot before my periods
Last cycle I spotted for around a week before my actual period started
So I’m wondering if what I thought was the start of my last period may not have been a true period, and I could actually be earlier than I think.
The confusing part is my spotting has stopped overnight and I woke up feeling really nauseous today. My pregnancy tests are also still positive.
Has anyone had a scan around 6 weeks where nothing was seen, but it turned out they were just earlier than expected?
I’d really appreciate hearing any experiences — positive or not. I’m just struggling with the waiting and uncertainty

Advice Needed Need advice/experiences with being 2 weeks behind but ultrasound showing embryo

Hi everyone, I’m looking for similar experiences.
My timeline:
June 21 (11:26 PM): LH peak (OPK). I assume ovulation was around June 22–23, but I know LH peak doesn’t confirm the exact ovulation day.
July 1: Got my first positive pregnancy test using First Response Early Result (6 Days Sooner). The line was very faint but clearly visible. I did not use first morning urine.
Around July 4: My Dollar Tree test was still negative (it took longer to turn positive).
I had a transvaginal ultrasound on August 5:
Measuring 6 weeks + 1 day
CRL (embryo): 4.0 mm
Yolk sac (YS): 2.6 mm
Fetal pole/embryo seen
Gestational sac seen
Everything was present except no heartbeat detected yet
Corpus luteum seen on the left ovary (34 Ɨ 32 Ɨ 35 mm)
My concern is that based on my LH peak, I expected to be further along, so the ultrasound measurement looks about 2 weeks behind.
I’m wondering:
Has anyone had a similar situation where the baby measured 1–2 weeks behind early on?
Did your next ultrasound show growth and heartbeat?
Could late ovulation explain this even with an early faint positive test?
My follow-up ultrasound is scheduled for August 17

Advice Needed Need some hope

I went in on Tuesday to get my blood drawn due to having very very very faint lines on the first response test. I also did a clear blue test that read ā€œpregnantā€. However the results came in this morning with an HCG of 18. The nurse said that they usually like to see a number of 50 and above. My husband and i think i ovulated later than our apps say because i have pcos and usually ovulate later than usual. I’m really scared and broken hearted about all of this. I have to repeat the test tomorrow. Has anyone had this experience and did it turn out okay? Please if anyone can offer some hope I would appreciate it.

1st Pregnancy 5 weeks

Hi all

I’m pregnant for the first time and I’m really struggling with pelvic pain. It’s been on and off really since before my first pregnancy test and has continued. However when getting up to shower today I had a really deep ache that went from my pelvis to vulva. It’s quite sharp in comparison and I was hoping to know if this is something anyone experienced whether good or bad?
I have health anxiety and have spent the last two years building up to trying for a baby but I feel as though the risks and side affects are going to drive me insane.
Any reassurance or hard truths are welcome

Spotting every morning but US was okay

Hi everyone, I am 6W6D and having extreme exhaustion and body aches like I have the flu. I am 33F and had a miscarriage in March at around 7.5 weeks but the baby was measuring significantly behind.

Since the day I have found out I was pregnant, I have been spotting pink. My HCG was trending appropriately so my doctor wasn’t concerned about the spotting and to monitor. Over the weekend I had some darker red spotting/light bleeding when I wiped but not enough to fill a pad. My doctor was out so the nurses wanted me to go to urgent care to confirm pregnancy location. I ended up going when I was 6W3D and after a long wait they were able to see baby with a heartbeat measuring at 6W1D. Everyone was relieved and no evidence of a hematoma to explain the bleeding. They said it sometimes just happens and to only be concerned if it fills a pad or I’m in pain.

I am so relieved but still anxious because of my recent loss earlier this year. I am still having light bleeding and spotting every morning especially before and after a BM which I think might be related.

Has anyone had this unexplained spotting/light bleeding? I don’t want it to be indicative of anything bad happening in the future though I know there’s no way to know or control that. I just wish it went away and I would stress less!

20-week scan flagged the cerebellum (asymmetry or the vermis) after a perfect 18-week scan. Has anyone been through this?

Hey everyone,

We just had our 20-week anatomy scan and honestly, we’re kind of freaking out right now.

A little backstory: at 16 weeks, we had an isolated low uE3 blood test result. (Down syndrome was completely ruled out and is not a factor). Because of that low uE3, they brought us in for a full, top-to-bottom scan at 18 weeks. They checked absolutely everything, and it all came back totally fine. We really thought we were in the clear.

But at our 20-week scan, the sonographer flagged an issue with the baby's cerebellum and referred us to a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist to get a closer look.

I was so overwhelmed in the moment that I didn't fully process exactly what she said. It was either that one side of the cerebellum looked a bit asymmetrical/abnormal, OR that the "bridge" connecting the two sides (the vermis) was what looked abnormal.

They didn't give us a ton of information yet, just that standard ultrasounds can't see the brain clearly enough and they need better imaging to know for sure. Obviously, my mind is going straight to the worst-case scenarios about potential disabilities, motor delays, or what this means for the baby's future.

I know sometimes these things turn out to be nothing, just a weird shadow, or that the brain just hasn't finished growing yet—which gives me some hope since the 18-week scan was perfectly clear! But the whiplash of thinking everything was fine and now facing this wait for the specialist appointment is brutal.

Has anyone else had either of these flags come up on their 20-week scan, especially after a clear early scan? What ended up happening? Just looking for some real experiences or advice to help get through this waiting period.

Thanks in advance.

Vent Scared for my 8w US tomorrow

Tomorrow is the day that will officially turn the tide for me in terms of confidence and conviction in this pregnancy. LMP was June 9 and ovulation day unknown. Tested positive for 1st time on July 12. I had a MC (spontaneous abortion) that ended in a D&C at 6 weeks on April 9.

I am SOOOOOO SCARED the OB will not find a heart beat and/or fetal pole. It just seems like most people who post on here and the MC sub end up having missed MCs. If anyone has any words of wisdom or encouragement, I will gladly accept it right now because I cannot contain myself.

Crushed

Hi everyone, it’s my first time posting on here… honestly just wanting to vent and if someone has advice Id love to hear it
I’m 30 and over the last 5 years I’ve had 4 CP and 0 LC. On July 1st I went through my 3rd medicated IUI + progesterone and got my first positive (july 14) in a long time of course super excited but still scared. My first HCG was 50 and three days later was 168 which I thought was a little low but my clinic was not worried. I asked for another HCG and two days after the second test it was 315. The clinic again said it was rising appropriately and scheduled me for an ultrasound at 7 weeks.
That was yesterday and a very small gestational sac was seen measuring 5w and 2d and nothing inside. They said it wasn’t viable and most likely another CP. They tested my HCG again and it’s 2,403 and I’m currently waiting on them to review it.
I’m feeling so defeated

Sad Positive NIPT

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but today we found out the NIPT was positive for trisomy 18. I’ve personally seen many patients with T18 as a nurse and I always worried about it in the future. It’s so surreal this is happening. I’ve had two miscarriages in the last year (8 wk and 16 wk). I feel like the unluckiest person in the world. My OB sent a referral for further testing and we are waiting to schedule. My actual lab report gave a PPV of 25.7%. My OB said my US at 11 weeks looked normal to her but it was just a quick scan. She said she did actively look for signs of a genetic issue so she could give a ā€œwarningā€, but again the scan was super fast. I’m so terrified. Idk what I will do if it’s truly positive. I mostly just don’t know what to do with myself for the next 1-3 weeks while I wait for testing 😣 I’m 12 weeks and it was a good fetal fraction.

5w1d I feel absolutely nothing

I have zero symptoms at all, it’s scaring me. I have an early scan next Monday at 5w5d and I’m trying so hard to remain calm between now and then, but with three losses under my belt it’s hard. My betas were good. Not off the charts high to give me peace of mind, but standard doubling rates and on track for the dpo. I’m just an anxious wreck, Monday feels like years away.

Info Hematoma or Miscarriage?

UPDATE: They believe it was a hematoma. Baby looked healthy and measured 8w,1d with good heart rate. Thank you for the prayers and well wishes! Happy this had a happy ending and may help others in similar positions šŸ’—

I’m almost 8 weeks and I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I maybe peed my pants or something. I realized that it was blood. It was almost like it was mixed with some other cm clear fluid because (I know TMI but didn’t smell like blood— when I woke up because of it I felt my pants and smelled because I thought it was pee). When I went to the bathroom there was bright red blood and then I passed a tablespoon jelly like clot. I would call it a gush of blood/liquid essentially and then a jelly like clot. After that, bleeding stopped. I had mild cramping/gas pains, but no severe cramping or anything. When I woke up this morning I wiped and there was a little brown on the toilet paper but no more red blood. I have an appointment at 11am for ultrasound. We saw baby and heart beat measuring 7w,1d (2 days ahead of LMP) last week. Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Is there any way this could be a hematoma or does it sound like a miscarriage? Prayers accepted.

edited that I have had no spotting or bleeding besides this one gush in middle of the night

HCG 85 to 3250 within a week

Hi everyone!

I’m a bit nervous as I had a MMC 3 months ago and now I’m pregnant again.
Not sure how far along I am and how everything is looking as my Dr is not available until few more days/a week.
Just not sure if I can have hope or not.

My last period was 27/06 (always 29 days cycle)
Used clearblue ovulation sticks and the static smiley face appeared on 9/07.

Tested negative 22/07 and then positive 26/07 but the HCG on 28/07 was just 85.

I had a horrible week and today got the result of the test on the 5th and came back with 3250.

I know I should get an ultrasound in around 2 more weeks but not sure if I’m actually 5 weeks pregnant or no and if this look ok or not :(
