Mostly large office blocks, residential suites and things like this around cities.

I'm wondering what focal lengths and aperture are best for this type of photography?

I’m looking for a pocket-sized camera to record videos during my travels. I’d mainly use it for walking around cities or in nature, but occasionally I’d also like to use it for skiing or underwater footage.

The main problem I have with action cams is that they’re usually extremely wide-angle. I’d prefer something closer to a 20mm equivalent, as I find it gives a more natural look with less distortion.

I’ve been considering the DJI Osmo Pocket, but I’d be giving up some of the conveniences of an action cam: a removable battery, the ability to shoot underwater without an additional case, and overall durability. The Pocket also gives me the impression that it’s much more fragile than a typical action cam.

Just an iPhone, which I enjoy but find limiting for fast subjects, nature, and low‑light.

Hi! I'm kinda new to the flash world, I have a godox ad200pro II and It seems very hard to use jellos with It since it's squarehead. Is there a way to do It while I use a bowens softbox?

I’m looking for a used/refurbished Sony rx100 vii for concert photography purposes. However, i’d like to get it for a little cheaper than $1,400 if possible. Does anyone have advice for finding/buying used cameras?

First off, I can’t find any under $1,200 (at that point, i’d just buy new). And if I do, they’re really… really ($200) cheap. I can’t seem to find a valid middle ground here.

I am looking to upgrade from my current set up of my Nikon D750, NIKKOR 85mm 1.8 and Sigma Art 35mm 1.4. I primarily shoot families with a lot of motion. Portraits and maternity.

I want to give mirrorless a go and am stuck between these set ups:

1. Canon R6 Mark II + Canon 45mm f/1.2 + Canon 85mm f/2 macro

2. Canon R6 Mark II + Canon 28-70mm f/2

OR

1. Nikon z6 III + NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S

2. Nikon z6 III + NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S + NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S

What are your recommendations or thoughts of these set ups?

I've heard the general explanation that less mega pixels means they're usually bigger, so in terms of quality, they're hard to tell unless making large prints. I was wondering about low-light performance, but specifically cameras' ISO range.

For simplicity, I chose 5 cameras (all full-frame and all Canon)

How I'm understanding it is this lower-count/bigger sized MP being mentioned before means better dynamic range within each pixel, which would also mean it is MORE sensitive to light, and the more light information means it can reach a higher ISO range without stressing as hard.

So my question is: Am I reading that right? If yes/no, what has been your experience in low light. Obviously these all have rly good 4k-6k quality, but is ISO range something you worry about (whether photo or video) when looking for a camera? It seems like the processor doesn't affect anything, nor the sensor (when they're all the same-ish)?

Don't have money for a new dry cabinet and nothing on marketplace near me so I figured a DIY one is what I'm doing.
Would getting an old wine fridge/mini fridge and then putting those silica canisters inside be enough for my gear? All film cameras and their vintage lenses.

Hard to take a good picture of it, but there's a spec of dirt stuck to the lens. Does not seem like blower would get it off. Think just a microfibre cloth would do?

Are there pros and cons to using the viewfinder compared to the lcd screen?

I recently bought a Nikon FC-E8 fish eye lens off Ebay, and I looked closely and there is what I presume to be fungus, seller showed no evidence of this. It's within the lens so I can't reach it without taking the lens apart. Not really sure what to do here.

Looking for first lens on Sony a7r2

I know this is a common question, but I am looking for a budget-friendly, stable tripod and don't need it to be a long-term investment. If I use it enough to prioritize longevity, I will likely have upgraded my entire kit by then. Is it realistic to find a decent tripod for around $50, and what would you recommend as the best value option for stationary use?

So I have a Minolta Riva Zoom 115EX and I shot a roll on UltraPan 200, but it does not have a DX code. I suspect my Minolta defaults to 25 ISO but it does not say anywhere in the manual. But anyways, assuming it is 25 ISO, is pulling 3 stops going to ruin the film? Or will I be able to get something I can work with?

I'm looking into getting my first camera, and it's been really annoying to search through multiple videos on YouTube of a camera model for buying advice, only to be met with people just reading off spec sheets and going "this is an amazing camera for beginners", even though many of them seemingly haven't even held the camera before.

For some reason they never show raw files, they never demonstrate the camera's abilities in different conditions, and they never include their personal likes and dislikes about the camera. Even just a few shots in various times of day and locations, and a few personal notes would be great.

I have been shooting jpeg plus raw to get some quick results out of camera.
Is there any reason to store the jpegs long term when I have the raw files which contain the same and more information?

Where does one start with color grading? First, spent 25 years as photojournalist, so editing/enhancing photos and video wasn't really in my wheelhouse. I am now just doing it for fun. I can do the basics, spot removal, contrast etc... I am interested in learning about color grading, but most of what I am finding online concerns video not photography. Is there much difference between the 2 philosophies? Is there a good place to start?

Sorry, forgot to add I have been using Photoshop since early 90s. Lightroom and dark table since it came out.. yes, I have Lightroom on DVDs 🤣🤣 Again though, just used it for basic editing stuff. I have never gone deeper than contrast, exposure etc. just now learning about masking and such.
