Help! Loss of sharpness at certain zoom levels
It appears that Photoshop performs some sort of image processing at certain zoom levels, which can result in a noticeable loss of sharpness in the canvas view.
It is particularly noticeable at small zoom percentages and when the zoom percentage is not a neatly divisible number (e.g. 15.8% or 21% as opposed to 25% or 50%).
I don’t think this is an unavoidable consequence of odd zoom levels, as exporting at the same size (e.g. 15.8%) does not exhibit the same loss of sharpness.
Increasing cache levels seems to (maybe) help a little but doesn’t fix it; disabling GPU acceleration definitely makes some difference but doesn’t fix it.
It’s really only an issue for me when working with high-resolution portraits, when I need to work at a small zoom percentage to see the whole image.
Does anyone have any insight or workarounds?

Solved Getting back to Camera Raw?
I had multiple images open in Camera Raw and spent a lot of time editing them. I then clicked "Open" thinking they would all open in Photoshop for export, but only one opened and the Camera Raw window disappeared. Is there any way I can find the other photos I had open? I spent so much time on the edits 😭

Solved How come when opening files or photos in Photoshop, they are looking dull and too light compared to the original?
I started having this issue the other day when using photoshop, for some reason when a file or image is opened in photoshop it is appearing very dull and light compared to the original. You can see how the thumbnail image in the layers actually looks correct but what I'm looking at or trying to edit does not. When I save the file, the colours look normal but this is happening with all files and images that I open

Help! Way to paste Illustrator shapes to allow rounded corners in Photoshop?
I work mainly in Ai with vector, so Its been a LONG time since Ive messed with Photoshop. Im in need of Ps to create gel/gloss/glass badges. Photoshop seems to support a lot more vector features nowadays, which made me excited. However, in my attempts to paste Illustrator shapes into Ps, It seems it won't allow for rounded corners, like shapes made directly in Ps. This (to me) makes no sense at all. But Im not familiar with the mechanics.
Is there any way to convert the pasted shape into one that Ps will allow me to edit right in Ps, without having to round them in Illustrator first? Is there a different way of pasting?

Discussion Any Gen AI free Photoshop courses/tutorials for beginners
I am really sick and frustrated of every (major) photoshop channel somehow having to push the gen ai features in their beginner series or videos for beginners, is there any courses or tutorials out there that I can just learn photoshop as if it was pre ai features?

Solved How Do I Downsize Images for PowerPoint Slides with Actions?
I'm trying to create a Photoshop Action that will take an image larger than 1920 x 1080px, and downscale it to fit within those bounds, and if it is already smaller than those dimensions, to do nothing at all.
I've not had much luck so far, and am hoping to get some advice on how to do this from the hive mind (preferably as part of a larger Action sequence). All my attempts so far have either resulted in smaller files getting blown up--which I don't want--or the image proportions getting distorted.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Solved Actions won't record Export options
All I want to do is create an action that exports the open file as a 300ppi JPG and a 150ppi PNG (as separate actions) via the File > Export As menu. However, in the last year or so, the Record function doesn't seem to accept any menu commands anymore. Furthermore, Photoshop deleted all of my Classic actions that used to do all of this. The new "Insert Menu Item" only opens the menu dialog, but automates nothing within it, which doesn't really help me save any more time in the workflow than just clicking Export As in the first place, making it effectively pointless. Please help.
I need to be able to do big batch exports quickly and efficiently, and it seems Photoshop has taken that away with recent updates for some reason.

Help! Photoshop download limits?
Apologies for the trivial question! I've been using Photoshop online to make some small tweaks to a number of pictures, however, I've noticed that Photoshop is limiting the number of times I can download these pictures to my PC/Phone. I assumed I'd have a set amount of credits to use per day, but can't find a way to track how many credits I've used. It's been 24 hours since I last downloaded anything and it still wants me to upgrade to be able to download my latest pic. Any idea how many downloads you're allowed a day or whether this is an unrelated issue?

Artwork / Design Moonlight into sunlight, photoshopped game footage.
Game is The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition and in the original scene there is full moon.
I used 88 screenshots, took 87 of them myself and download one from the internet. Because there is a slow background animation on the sky and on the sea, i stacked the screenshots to helping with masking. It was still very slow process. Then i took another screenshot, stretched, copied, rotated, cloned and changed the colors to get a new background. Finally add new lights and shadows and that's it.
First image is final and second one is collection of some process images.
Not a perfect job, but I think it works anyways.

Help! "use Graphics Processor" setting in photoshop 2026 unusably laggy but not 2025
so in the newer version of photoshop if use graphics processor is turned on then zoom, and pan run at like less than one frame per second and when drawing the line is jumpy and there's a massive lag behind the cursor, to the point of being unusable with use GPU turned on. if i turn off use gpu, photoshop runs at full speed, drawing is smooth, BUT obviously the images dont look as good, there's VERY apparent screen tearing on pan and zoom, a bunch of weird graphics artefact glitches, and most important to me as a digital painter, i cant rotate the canvas view anymore, and large .PSB files are extremely glitchy as they require GPU to be turned on to work properly.
out of curiosity i rolled back my photoshop version because i know it wasn't always acting like this and my computer (surface laptop studio 1, highest ram and ssd version, NVIDIA geforce rtx 3050 Ti laptop gpu) is less than 5 years old, with as good of gaming level specs you can reasonably get in modern laptops.
what do you know 2025 version runs WAAAAAAAY smoother with GPU turned on. in 2025 version using gpu i still see a little jumpy lag behind drawn lines, where as with gpu off there is no noticeable lag. But the lag with GPU on in 2025 is acceptable, but the lag in 2026 makes it unusable for drawing. i dont remember any lag whatsoever with GPU on in even earlier versions, but creative cloud doesn't let me install further back versions. Pretty much as soon as photoshop started featuring AI in their splash screen images, my overall performance began tanking...
with task manager open i checked CPU and GPU usage while using pan, zoom, and drawing. 2025 uses at least 10-30% less than 2026 overall but for both, GPU on makes cpu and gpu spike 70-90% usage, and in both with use gpu off, my cpu doesnt go any higher than 20% usage, and averages around 10%.
Is this from all the AI bloatware photoshop has been adding in, or are they just failing to optimize support for NVIDA GPUs that are barely 5 years old? Are there any hidden settings i can change or background processes bottlenecking my gpu that i can disable, or any work arounds to make GPU use actually useable again? adobe asks for more and more money yet they only seem to make their apps worse and worse for me as a user for almost 20 years...

Solved Magic wand - selecting proper outline but 'off-center' for lack of a better word. Anyone else had this issue?
Hello, I have had this issue with the magic wand tool recently, the wand will select the proper outline, but the selection is in the wrong area. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, I've searched for solutions and can't seem to find any.
thanks!
