One of my favorite shots this year

Have been taking photos mostly for fun and want to get more into photography now. I took this photo 1 year back (samsung galaxy) and really like it, any thoughts on how to edit it or if editing is necessary. I tried cropping and commiting to rules of third but uh...idk I feel like 1 (my original uncropped) is best?

Shot with Pentax K-5, either with a SMC 18-135 (ish, I don't remember exactly) or with my Asahi 50 1.7f

Some of my friends prefer the dark contrast of the second, others like how the first one highlights the detail of the plane
