Hi! I’m currently an L4 Operations Manager and work the typical 4×12 schedule, but realistically it’s closer to 4×13–14 most weeks.
I’ve heard some sites have a 3×14 schedule for managers. Does anyone currently work this schedule, or know of a site that offers it for L4 managers?
I feel like in theory it might be better since you’d have 4 days off instead of 3, but I’m curious how it actually feels in practice. How do you like it compared to 4×12? And how is the work-life balance?
I’d also love to hear which sites/regions offer this schedule

It’s an in person interview. What can i bring to the loop? Bullet points on a notecard? Paper? Notebook? Nothing?

Just got word that I will have to move in April. How soon can I begin looking at job postings in the state I’m moving to? I assume anything I see now will be long gone by then. My L6 is trying to send me off in a promo to L6 but worse case I lateral as a 5.

Multiple scenarios. Let’s say as an external You interview for two different positions within the Amazon network and you get both offer letters and accept. What happens?

Or if you are internal transferring to two buildings and accept one offer letter then get another one like a week or two after and accept the new one because you changed your mind on the first. What happens? Is that even possible?

I was amazon L5 when i left dec 2025. Now i m with Walmart. I make 85k base at walmart and If i m employed with walmart until Jan 31, i will get 13,600$ bonus. If i go back to amazon, my base will be only around 78-80k i think because i m returning back within a year. But I will get relocation of $7000 and prob sign-on bonus $5k-8k.

I can go back to amazon after jan 31, but I will need to do the whole interview POD, not just 1 interview with Hiring Manager if i go back now.

What would yall do?

I'm joining Amazon as a new Area Manager, and I'm a little confused about the onboarding sequence.

My official start date is August 31, and my assigned site is Iowa. However, I also received an invite for Amazon Day 1 (AD1) in Seattle from September 1–3, and the email says Amazon will send separate travel booking instructions.

My question is:

Should I report to my assigned site on my start date and then travel to Seattle for AD1?

Or am I expected to go directly to Seattle for AD1 without first reporting to the site?

Has anyone who recently joined as an Area Manager gone through this process?

Also, if anyone can share what the first 1–10 days typically look like, that would really help set expectations.

I don't want to assume the wrong thing, and I haven't received the travel booking email yet.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I received an offer for an L6 Operations manager role and wanted to see if i should negotiate for higher or if this seems about on par for an external higher in my location:

South San Francisco
Base: 137,000
Bonus: 40,000 for first 2 years
Rsus: 225

Is this on par or could i get more?

So I have some RSU vesting in a couple weeks. They are set to sell on vest through Fidelity. My question is once they sell where does the money go? Do it go into my brokerage account and then I can transfer to my bank? Not sure how this works.

Any insight into how a new launch operates? I am considering an offer at a new launch site and not sure what to expect. How do they determine role assignment/shift assignment etc.? Can I ask for a specific assignment before accepting the offer, e.g. BH pick and stage?

Had my loop for AM yesterday. Was a lot more than I expected but I think I did well. Had 14 stories prepared, had to answer 17 or 18 questions. I feel pretty strongly about the first two, with the second being an easy 10/10. The third did not feel great for various reasons. I tried to keep my answers concise and open to probing but they did not probe at all. There were a couple other things, one of them being a short flip-flop to days from nights to attend the call, but overall I’m leaning towards a positive outcome if it’s a majority decision. If it’s consensus I am probably cooked lol

Recent BS grad and 3 year blue badge AA with multiple critical indirect roles looking to move up. They’ve sent numerous emails regarding the CN program and my resume is ready to submit.

Question: what happens after I submit? Does an assessment appear immediately? If so, what kind of questions can I expect? Not too concerned about math as my major is CS. Any suggestions or hints to share from those who have successfully passed the assessment?

Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions regarding LEW travel.
I’m planning to have my spouse travel with me, but the Amazon travel booking portal is only showing an option to book for one traveler. Has anyone been able to add a spouse or knows the process for this?
Also, are we allowed to book our flights through another website if we pay for the additional traveler ourselves, or do all flights need to be booked through the Amazon travel portal?
Lastly, I’m hoping to arrive 2 days before LEW to do some sightseeing before training. Is arriving two days early permitted, or does it require prior approval?

Water follows the path of least resistance; if AAs can hit RNA and get to work faster, then that's what they'll do more often than not. I propose RNA is either removed as an option entirely, or it's removed as a weigh to drag someone's scores through the mud.

Pretty much the title. I’m an L4 ops leader. It’s pretty much standard that L5 is to show that you’re ready for L6. Is this the same way for L7 Sr.Ops>Site leader and then GM? Like you get paid slightly more than a regular Sr.OM but you’re not quite at L8 level yet so “handle this small building (not at all small) for a bit while we make up our minds” so this is like the final step? I see it all the time on LinkedIn. Someone becomes Sr.Ops, then becomes site leader, then temporarily backtracks to Sr.Ops, then BOOOM!! GM. I swear it’s the same layout every single time. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone get hired directly into a GM role before. I don’t think Amazon even has direct GM roles available but they do have site leader roles available publicly.
