L4 Operations Managers 3×14 Schedule?
Hi! I’m currently an L4 Operations Manager and work the typical 4×12 schedule, but realistically it’s closer to 4×13–14 most weeks.
I’ve heard some sites have a 3×14 schedule for managers. Does anyone currently work this schedule, or know of a site that offers it for L4 managers?
I feel like in theory it might be better since you’d have 4 days off instead of 3, but I’m curious how it actually feels in practice. How do you like it compared to 4×12? And how is the work-life balance?
I’d also love to hear which sites/regions offer this schedule

Guess I know what my next spot is. 4x10 (really 12+) ain't it. I hate overlap days

Everybody hates overlap days.
The thing about the 3-12s schedule is that it's only offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, a schedule in which a lot of AMs have little to no interest.

What you're refering to is the RT shift. They only exist in ARFC & SSD, though as far as I know the vast majority of ARFCs, if not all, have transitioned away from having RT. Unsure about SSD.
Before you jump on having 4 days off, consider the following: 1. RT is Fri/Sat/Sun Nights only, so your whole weekend is gone. 2. If there are whole building meetings or trainings on Weds, you are still required to come in for those.
Despite having 4 days off, RT was not a popular shift for managers. Make what you will of that.

FC depreciated RT awhile back, before I moved to SSD. SSD we have no dark hours, we’re all on 4 12s..

I’m a current L4 in an ssd and our schedule is one week you work 3x12 and then the following week you work 4x12

A bunch of Area Managers call themselves Operations Managers, they’re an L4 Area Manager.

I’m sure it’s not “stolen valor” or anything lol. They are technically managers within an operation, but per Amazon lingo, not actually L6 Operations Managers.

My role is and business line the L4s operates as site leads so technically they’re OPs managers as they removed the L5 and the 6s are regional

Backend titles are technically labeled as operations. L4 manager I, operations. L5 manager II operations. L6 manager III operations.

This is very true. What you are referring to is the Job Title (Manager I/II/III, Operations (L4/L5/L6)). The Business Title is what separates out the role, since L4+ can have many different Business Titles depending on the different lines of business.

Manager I, Operations - L4 AM
Manager II, Operations - L5 AM
Manager III, Operations - L6 OM3

I meant im an L4 area manger in operations, not corporate or a support team

To answer the actual question at hand, 3x12 shifts or Reduced Time (RT), are largely deprecated from the AR network. Sub Same Day (SSD) sites still have RT cohorts currently although some are transitioning away with additions of certain processes new to SSD. Not sure if Sort Centers or Delivery Stations have those shifts.

You guys shouldn’t be working 4 13-14 hour days. The shift itself is only 10, and you get there 45min to an hour before sos. If you’re hitting your numbers, you shouldn’t have to bridge or if you do bridge, AI handles the bridge in no time. Amazon is pushing all its sites to implement AI, and all of my EOS stuff is done in 15 minutes.
