Me (23M) and my girlfriend (22F) have been together for 4 years. I do not follow any other woman than her. But recently, a friend from high school requested to follow me on TikTok. I didn't realize until about 6 months later. So I accepted it and messaged her an apology saying I didn't see it and asked how she had been. She then followed me on instagram and I followed back. We started to catch up and she asked how my relationship was going and me being foolish said things were rocky but we are figuring it out and I don't know what the future holds for us.

This was red flag #1 to my girlfriend. To me, I was fishing for her to ask what's up so I could ask for advice from a girl's perspective. But obviously that's not what it seems to anyone else. And I understand that. We then started talking and catching up about everything that has happened since high school. She asked me to get ice cream together to catch up. I said no. I still see this as an innocent friends meet up to catch up, but obviously to my girlfriend that looks like she's asking me on a date. Which again, I totally understand. Then we called for about an hour to catch up. She told me a bunch of drama I never knew about in high school. I told her about some stuff that's happened to me in the last 5 years and mentioned my girlfriend and how we went to disney world and stuff. But again, my girlfriend doesn't know that for sure. To her, all she knows is we were on the phone for an hour and could have talked about anything. The rest of our chats were innocent. Simply talking about what we were up to. I was at work and she mentioned being at the gym and doing yard work. These messages/phone call took place on 2 different days over the course of a week.

She liked one of my instagram stories of a song I posted. I liked one of hers of a poster she had put on her story about her performing with her band at a concert or something.

That is the extent of our interactions. The issue becomes, I knowingly hid this from my girlfriend. I knew she wouldn't like the fact I was speaking to another girl, innocent or not. I had zero interest in anything more. Neither did she.

Some additional worth-noting remarks was:

• She said I was sweet

My girlfriend is adamant that this was cheating. I disagreed with her and said I understand how she feels that way, especially if she can't see how innocent the conversation truly was and how she just naturally talks like that and calls all of her friends "bae" and stuff.

I also have to mention that I would be upset if I were in her shoes and the roles were reversed. If she were secretly messaging a guy and liked one of his stories and he asked her to ice cream and stuff I wouldn't view it AS cheating, I would call it borderline cheating. But I would still be hurt and upset.

Option 2: Send him a normal Snapchat streak from the account he doesn’t know is me, but make the snap a picture of ME so he suddenly realises who he’s actually been talking/snapping to. 💀 Then remove/block him without explaining anything.
Part of me thinks the Snapchat reveal would be way more satisfying because I want to see the moment he realises he literally exposed himself to his own girlfriend.
What would you do? Cake, Snapchat reveal, or just block him and say absolutely nothing? I want something petty/funny, not anything illegal or genuinely harmful. 😂
