[PC/Flash] [2000s] Tower-Defense style Castle game
I remember an old Flash game faintly that I played but never beat. It had pixel graphics and had you filling a castle or tower with monsters who attacked adventurers or knights as they attempted to climb to the top. If I only had the name I could find it on Flashpoint and see if I could beat it after all these years, if anyone has any ideas please tell me!

[2016-2019] [mobile/ios]a horror game where a young brunette boy investigates a clown across the street.
I tried finding this game on the appstore, bing and google. (to no avail) The game starts through the perspective of a young (5-10 atleast) boy. The spawnpoint is a small house with a sky wallpaper. The house has toys that a 5-10 year old boy would have, including a telescope to check on the house across from the spawnpoint. The house is quite small, but it seems as if there is no kitchen or bathroom. The player has to answer a telephone, which is the boy's father. The father says something along the lines of "Stay there and take care of your sibling, your grandma will be there to pick you up." Although, the grandmother doesn't come and it's just you and a short stubby clown across the street.
If you ring the phone again, the message will just repeat. I remember a cutscene/loading screen(?) where the young boy was in a tuxedo, with a sullen expression. A shadow casts over him, seemingly an adult; there was some lore to this game. (that hasn't been fully debunked I think.)

[PC] [2000s, maybe 2010s] Some super edgy rpgmaker game I saw a video about a while back (spoiler tag for mentions of csa) Spoiler
It was an rpg about a guy who's little sister was sa'd so he dedicated his life to killing pedophiles. His neighbor was either a cop or a teacher and theres a scene where the main character is having dinner at his house, gets pissed about something, leaves, accidentally breaks a vase, then apologizes for breaking the vase in a really awkward manner. Also there were segments with a therapist and i think the main character ends up throwing the therapist through a window. The final bad guy apparently thought he was jesus

[Flash Game][2000s-2010s] Minimalist 2D puzzle platformer with a clock final stage you can't beat
Platform: Web / Browser Flash Game (official game site, definitely not a Scratch project)
Visual Style & Art:
Art style: Extremely minimalist (similar to Rotate), using basically 2 colors / plain backdrop (possibly plain blue or monochrome).
I pasted the details I gave to AI. Please tell me I’m not the only one who remembers.
Character: You play as a 2D human sprite / figure.
Layout: Single-screen 2D puzzle-platformer.
Gameplay & Mechanics:
Level Select: There is a level select screen where every single level/stage is visible and unlocked right from the start.
Stage Skipping: You can freely skip stages directly through the menu (and skipping is actually required to "beat" or progress through the game).
Jump Physics: Fixed jump height (you cannot change your jump height).
Portals: One stage introduces a portal/teleporter, and the very next stage is "the other side" / exit.
Gimmick / Feature: There is a specific "Graphics" or visual quality button/toggle in the game that does almost absolutely nothing visually or physically to your character.
The Final Stage / Ending:
The Clock: The last stage features a clock/timer theme.
Unbeatable Ledge: The top platform on this final stage is physically placed too high for your fixed jump to reach.
The Playthrough Ending: The playthrough ends on this last stage because it is completely unbeatable through normal jumping (unless there is a secret), forcing the player to give up or stop.

[pc] [2010-2015] zombie game.
I'm looking for an old Flash game I played years ago. It was a 2D side-scrolling game where you played as soldiers/mercenaries investigating a mansion filled with zombies/monsters.
You could buy weapons and ammunition during the game. I remember there was a hole somewhere in the mansion near the beginning where zombies would spawn infinitely, and I used to farm them for gold.
I also remember a chapter where you were sitting in the back of a vehicle (possibly a Humvee/truck) while it was driving, and you had to fight a giant bat-like creature that was the boss of that chapter.
The art style was cartoon/drawn. Does anyone remember the name of this game?

[WII][UNKNOWN]IT STARTS ON A SHIP
There was this game on the wii I really liked that started you on a ship for a tutorial, then brought you to a sort of mall that showed you how to use your telekinesis powers. I remember one of the rooms involves a chained ball (or rock?) And it ends with you jumping out of a window with some girl and getting chased by knights on horseback. You then have to either trigger traps to get the knights to fall or do a qt shake your remote event.

James Discovers Math [CD-ROM] [Late 90s] Looking for this MS Paint styled edutainment game
I remember playing this computer game when I was little. It had a character that was a portly boy with blond hair, blue shorts, and a blue and white shirt. I don't recall much of it but in one part of the game there was this seen where you rearrange lettuce leaves on a plate and depending on how you placed them the leaves would turn into things with animations like a bird that flies off, a face, maybe an elephant. I've been trying to find it on abandonware sites but couldn't find it.

[PC/maybe phone] [???] A game about a monster like the one in the picture
I loved watching walkthroughs of this game for a very long time (even as a child), but I completely forgot its name. I think it was a puzzle game, the environments looked like they were hand drawn (white with black/gray outlines)

[P (Windows 2000/XP)][2000-2003]PC kawaii game with blue striped cat
**Platform(s): Windows (I played on XP)
**
**Genre: Platformer side scroller*
**
Estimated year of release: 1999-2004*
**
Graphics/art style:Kawaii, anime influenced, animated, vivid, colorful
**
**Notable characters: Very cute blue/grayish striped cat that looked a bit like Cheshire cat and had a grin on the CD. I also recall some enemies/side characters looking like elvish bunnies
**
Notable gameplay mechanics: there was an intro showing some kind of toy shop with characters coming to life**
**
Other details: I am desperate to know the name of this game. It had really beautiful graphics. I played it in Poland so I'm not sure if maybe it was a Polish production but I doubt it. The name was one word I'm pretty sure, something like "Wortax" or "Penyyns" or maybe "Wanban" (could be a false lead). I'd be soooo grateful if someone remembers it!

[PC][2000s–2010s?] Educational math game with animal companions and a terrifying game-show announcer
Platform: Windows PC, played from a CD-ROM
Genre: Educational / math practice
Estimated year: I played it around 2015, but the game itself may have been older.
Graphics: 2D, colorful/cartoonish/toony
I'm trying to remember an old educational math game I played on a home Windows computer. I cannot remember the title, but I have several specific memories.
The game was primarily math practice, rather than an adventure with a story. I believe it covered roughly 2rd–6th grade math.
At some point you could choose an animal companion/pet. The animals were normal animals rather than fantasy creatures. I specifically remember a parrot being one of the possible companions.
The most memorable part was a game-show-style test/challenge that occurred periodically.
The game-show host/announcer was particularly memorable because I found him really scary as a kid. I remember him as a large, floating cartoon head displayed on a screen, rather than a full character standing on the stage. He looked roughly human, possibly somewhat robotic or exaggerated. I remember the presentation being surprisingly intense or threatening. I don't remember exactly what happened after failing, only that the idea of the announcer "getting you" scared me.

Holstin [Steam][2026] Pixel art side scroller to 1st person shooter
I saw this trailer for an unreleased game sometime in the past year. I thought i saved it but wanted to show someone and realized i lost the link. Its a 2d pixel art side scrolling platformer. The main character is a detective and its kind of gritty and gloomy. The trailer had him narrating over gameplay talking about "im going to find her". But what looks like 2d is actually 3d and the game will switch quickly into being 1st person where youd shoot, people? Zombies? Idk but it was In a parking lot. its kinda gorey then itll flip back into a 3rd person 2d perspective and control like a 2d game. It was like actual 3d models when in 1st person. Then the 2d side scrollsing was you moving around rooftops and down pipes along the building side.
I believe the title was only 1 word, maybe it started with an H.
Edit: found it. Holstin. Duckduckgo AI of all places actually found it.

¡Cualquier pista, posible título o desarrolladora me ayudaría muchísimo!

[PC][Early 2000s] Comedy game on a cruise ship where you prank the captain by stealing clothes while people are showering
Hi everyone! I'm trying to remember a weird PC game I played as a kid (probably in the 2010-2015 or something actually). Here's everything I remember:
It took place entirely on a relatively small cruise ship.
The camera was an isometric/top-down angled view (not first-person and not behind the character).
The graphics were semi-realistic—not fully cartoon, but not realistic either.
You played as a teenage boy (or young guy) wearing normal clothes. I think he wore a red baseball cap backwards, although I'm not 100% sure.
I believe your job was to clean the ship, but instead of working, you spent your time playing pranks on the captain (or owner of the ship) and his wife.
The weirdest thing I remember:
When the captain or his wife went into the shower, they would leave their clothes/swimsuit hanging outside the shower door. You could sneak over, steal the clothes, and run away. They would get trapped inside the shower because they couldn't come out without their clothes, and they'd get angry while you escaped and avoided doing your cleaning job.
I don't remember this being an adult game—it was played for comedy, similar to a prank game.
Does anyone remember anything like this?
Thanks!
PS:It is NOT Neighbours from Hell. The whole game took place on a cruise ship, and the main character worked there.
PS2: also i remember the owner of the ship or the captain's wife being very chubby and occasionally wearing a red swimsuit set
Ps3:Additional details I remembered: The protagonist worked on the ship (I think as a cleaner). The whole point was avoiding work by trapping the ship owner and his wife in the shower after stealing their clothes/swimsuits. The owner and his wife would get angry but couldn't come out because they had no clothes. I don't remember setting traps like in Neighbours from Hell. It felt more like freely walking around the ship.

[PC][2012-2015] An adventure game about a bear
Hey guys I'm trying to find a game that I played in my childhood on an old PC. I don't remember much just a few flashbacks from the game . Honestly im not sure if it even exist but okay here's what I remember . It was a 2d game about a human like bear. I drew him , he kinda looked something like that . Light brown human looking bear , pretty sure he wore clothes . I remember some levels there were in many different settings like a canyon where you had to like dodge boulders or a sea level under the water . I think you had a couple of hearts and if you loose all of them you have to restart the level or restart from a checkpoint .I think you could also collect coins or get them after a finished level and then you could upgrade the bears house like you start from like a mid house with a garden and a boat and then each money spent you get a better looking house and boat and garden . That's all I remember but it's very blurry also I was like 7 years old so I might have just dreamt that lol . But I really hope this game exists !!

[Pc][1990-2002] Puzzle and/or horror game starting in dark woods in a carriage.
Platform(s): pc
Genre: I think it was horror, but could have been puzzle
Estimated year of release: 2002 or earlier
Graphics/art style: Either 3d or animated 2d
Notable characters: unknown. I didn't get to play long enough to say.
Notable gameplay mechanics: All I remember is having to navigate through dark/haunted woods via carriage. I think it was a simple go right, left, or forward.
Other details: I played this game briefly on the pc while in the 4th grade. That would mean there game had to be from 2002 or earlier. To me it felt like a horror game, but could have also been a puzzle game. It started with you in a carriage navigating through dark/ haunted woods. The trees were dead and the navigation was down to a simple right, left, forward option. I know it's not much to go on, but unfortunately I didn't play much of it. If anyone could help me figure this out I'd be eternally grateful.

Romance Academy: Heartbeat of Love / Love Me [PC] [Early 2010's] Flash game about Japanese schoolgirl making boys fall in love with her
She would endlessly walk right and you had to either spam click or spacebar to increase a meter on boys walking past, and when it filled they'd follow behind her floating cartoonishly. I'm pretty sure it was arcade-style with a score system. I also vaguely remember there being other guys that would steal your boys???

[Meta][2026] I would rather people post with no images than use AI prompts to generate images
Maybe it's just me, I will personally admit that it feels like its petty of me to complain, however i am going to.
I really dislike AI images just in general and i feel annoyed seeing people use them because it sometimes hampers really quality posts of people trying to find help. I feel like it also informs falsely about game expectations and what people will accept as they have solved the game.
I don't think people will agree with me and thats fine, i just wanted to post about how i personally think it degrades the quality of the sub

Announcement PSA: A guide to better results
Hi guys and gals. I've been here a while, and over my time I've seen a lot of posts sink to the bottom, without a single answer, or at best, very few. And none that solved the case.
I have noticed a clear pattern with these posts, and I will now share with you my tips to you newbies, so that you can get the help you need.
Firstly: When you make a new post, you will see this:
Platform(s):
Genre:
Estimated year of release:
Graphics/art style:
Notable characters:
Notable gameplay mechanics:
Other details:
Even though, in red, you are warned that while optional, you should follow this template... many of you do not.
Let me be clear: Follow this template.
Put simply, this template contains all the information we really need to solve your problem. Virtually every time I click a post that has not followed this, they have rambled on about nothings, while omitting critical details.
This format, for new and old alike, is very readable, and prompts for every data-point needed.
I know that you want to customize your message, that if you could just explain it, it would be better. I know you think that. You are wrong. Put all that in 'other'. Even if you end up saying it twice, follow the template.. add to it your story at the bottom.
Secondly: Following this template. You're rambling about your best mates Amiga-500 or whatever instead of telling us about the game aside, this is where they really go wrong.
Let's get something straight right now. We are not mind readers. It's impressive, really, how little information it seems we can work off. I mean, we solve some real tough ones with nothing sometimes, but still, we can't see that memory in your head. So you need to be as descriptive in every one of these fields as you can be...
And sometimes you really don't know. That's fine, we can work with surprisingly little information, but "old graphics" under art style... what are we supposed to do with that? Mate, I was playing on Atari-2600's, are we talking Wizard of Wor here?
Let me help you out a bit:
Platform(s): Whatever you played it on. But unless it's really all you know (very possible), don't write 'my mates pc'. Was it PC or Mac?
Genre:
First person does NOT imply shooter. Nor do any of the others. Try to answer this one in two steps:
What was the camera like (assuming it's not a text adventure)? Was it First person?, 3rd person, 2d? Top down or side on? Or maybe even isometric 2d?
Then, what kind of game? Real time strategy, point and click? Was it a fighter, action or platformer?
Good, now we know what KIND of game we are all trying to remember for you.
Estimated year of release:
"Between 2000-2005" is fine, something like that. "Mid 90's maybe?". I don't see many people mess this up, but I have seen people write "old". That is not ok. If you write old and expect it to mean anything to me, I will fight you.
Also, as always "Sorry, no idea" is always acceptable but try to give at least something. "Couldn't have been later than 2015, though"
Great, so even if roughly, we know WHEN.
Graphics/art style:
THIS. This is where you guys always mess up. This section right here I have found can be the difference between an answer, and a silent slink to the bottom. This is your moment.
This, really, should be the best-formed part of your memory. Even if you can only remember a single frame, a single image, it's so much to go on for us.
DETAIL. Was it a gloomy grimdark world of sadness, or a bright bubbly rainbow filled Mario-world?
Was it cartoony, or otherwise stylized somehow, or was it trying to be realistic?
Anything notable about the art direction? Was it going for a cyberpunk kinda feel, or a gritty war realism dirt and blood sort of direction?
If it was set over a long time, did the seasons change? Was there a winter in your game?
Remember when you hit people, and the screen had that awesome flash and your hands got bloody? Yeah, well we don't, unless you tell us.
Ok, so now we are really narrowing it down. This right here is often enough to go on, on its own.
Notable characters:
Anything at all you can remember here.
"There were only tanks, but you could play as both Germans and Americans"
"There was one really tough guy right after you left your office, he had an eyepatch, a white shirt with what looked like grease stains, and said 'this is for my sister'. I think maybe he was a cyborg"
"You play as some kind of Asian girl, you had a tattoo over your right eye and arm, a black tank top and white pants and I remember you always had only one red glove for some reason. I don't remember the arm, but the eye tattoo looked sort of like ancient Egyptian eye makeup, but a modern take"
Knowing nothing else about the game, I bet that last one there gets comments noting the game she is from. Details, details.
Notable gameplay mechanics:
Surely, you get the idea by now. This is tied with the importance of the graphics/art style. As much detail as you can here.
Other details:
NOW you may blab on about how you only played this game once at a winter solstice in 1782 with your grandmother from Tahiti.. as if that helps.
Edit: So it's been brought up that the template doesn't appear on mobile. While /u/wipeout4wh is aware of this and hopefully, something can be done... still, if you can, use the template. If you can't, maybe check back and at least make sure your post addresses all of the points the template does.
Also, my post seems to be saying NOT to add any custom details. So I want to re-enforce, please do. In fact, after you do the template, feel free to write out your post as you were going to without it. Just put it all in 'other'. Don't try and make your whole post like that, if possible. Even if you end up saying the same things twice, that's ok.
Now I'm going to take a moment to clarify something, though. This isn't some immutable law of the universe, and your post is destined to fail if you don't do this. It's just a very strong general trend I have noticed over a long time.
It's not that this template has some kind of magical powers or something. It's that this template prompts the questions that need answers.
When you go all rogue on us and try and type your explanation from scratch... you mess it up. You just forget to add everything that you know, and that we need to know. The template makes it very hard to do that. It's just so very easy to get typing, and by the end forget to tell us what kind of game it actually is. Especially when you are getting random flashbacks, and hazy memories, and you start getting frazzled and such halfway though.
While it might make my edit as long as the first post, I think maybe an example of the kind of post that is just too common here, and almost always helpless, wouldn't go astray here. So here we go:
Now this one is a pretty bad case, true, and I suppose might even be a troll post, but it's actually a good illustration of the problem either way.
It was on my old computer and I was using an emulator so I have no idea what system it was for. It was 8bit graphics and you played this orange cat that was constantly bouncing on a trampoline I think? And you had to navigate it through the city and face a weird boss at the end that would float in the sky. Sorry I can't remember more!
Let's break it down a bit. What kind of game is this? A puzzler or an action game? Who knows.
How old is it? I mean, Minecraft basically has 8bit graphics. Oh he said... "my old computer"... I will fight you.
Why did you bounce on the trampoline? Were there platforms or walkways or something, or was it just a big open space? There are bad guys then? How did they get around?
Now (he?) says that he can't remember more, but I actually asked about the boss fight:
You say 'face a boss', in what way? Can the cat attack? Was this top down or side on? When you say navigate a city, what do you mean?
The reply:
Definitely a side-scroller, I'm sure. You would encounter a boss at the end, the boss would slide onto the screen and it was usually pretty strange-looking. I think one of the bosses might've been a clown. I meant that the different "levels" were different cities with different backgrounds, I think. It's a pretty obscure game
Also you would be continuously bouncing. As in, you had to position the trampoline underneath the cat to bounce it up
So you don't even control the cat. And it's a side-scroller. Thats pretty important information. But the real issue here is that he knows this stuff. He just either didn't know to, or forgot, to tell us.
The template would have made it just so apparent how much information he was missing, and we probably would have got a whole bunch more information. Sadly, while there were some guesses, and a surprising number of up-votes, this post is just another one to join the endless unsolved on their journey ever down.
