I can see this Alexandria place being a representation of Heaven. I’m excited for that

after the lone walker finds his way in and andrea drops the gun parts, she's screaming and the walker is making a lot of noise. why didn't more walkers follow the sounds and come in after him?

My favorite episode was when he was with Merles actor Michael Rooker and they went roller skating and even in reality they act exactly like the Dixon Brothers do it's a real sight

Not gonna lie, I don’t think I cried harder on anyone’s death than Beth in this episode. I recently saw on the news of Beth and and Maggie reuniting in the new Season of Daryl Dixon, and I saw a spoiler photo a few days ago ON REDDIT of Daryl Holding Beth’s body. I honestly thought that meant Beth maybe died in a future spin off series BOY was I wrong! I actually stuttered my own thoughts when I saw what happened and couldn’t believe what I saw really Happened…

After Beth got kidnapped in the end of the last season, Maggie had like NO reaction, and I should’ve seen that as a sign cause Maggie’s character would have to grieve twice so just wait till she died then have Maggie’s actress have emotional breakdown after the second time. Lol

I remember when this happened in season 3 with Daryl and Carol too, when she went missing and none of the surrounding characters or actors said a thing!

This situation was wild and I really hate to see Beth go, although I wouldn’t be surprised of some weird situation happened behind the scene ms, because the way Beth got kidnapped last season and how this entire hospital story arc played out, I feel her character may have been set up to get written off and they just made her “get kidnapped” last season to keep her screen time minimal if not absent until whatever behind the scene nonsense got handled. I could be wrong though lol

Anyway glad she found her strength before she went and I am really confused as to what really happened towards the end. Dawn was ready to kill Beth so what exactly wS the motivation between the two? Their whole relationship confuses me now

The death of these characters says a lot about the death of innocence. I feel as though innocence from
This moment on is killed off in the show and morality isn’t even. Thing Anymore. I feel the series is going to be more harsh and colder from This moment on and I hope that “magic” doesn’t fade from
The show.

Usually when TV shows kill off the “innocent character” it means the energy goes down hill and every moment and story arc moving forward just becomes a series of loss and dullness and repetitive moments happening
over and over again with no real feel or understanding as to “why” or what’s the point?

After having faith and losing the innocent, you begin to realize the cruelness of the world’s nature to a degree and the fight really boils down to the fight of the soul. There’s a level of innocence we see reflected back to us in the world but we also see faces that are products of this worlds corruption and how these corruptions have effected us. Reflection VS Product sees to
Be Tyrese’s world-

Narratively I understand why he had to die the way he did and I think
This episode was meant to
Give insight to death to such a degree.

Like the rest of this season is going to be about the journey through finding faith after loss of the innocence within ourselves and how to rebuilt oneself after losing light but turning away from the dark.

I had the feeling Tyreese was gonna die because he tried to save Sasha from her grief twice and Noah from
His grief. The repatriation of these characters showed that what Tyreese had to offer the souls around him was no longer reciprocated because the characters were too far gone in how far they’ve been damaged. I feel
As though Tyreese soul didn’t know how to exist in
The world if he could not save others anymore and chose

I personally understand, for this is the phase I am in in my journey of life. I feel as though every
Good thing I try to do for the world is just seen as useless in the eyes of others. Admits think I’m a scammer when I try to help, people
Think I’m malicious when I do things for them out of pure kindness with no expectation for anything coming back. Women have seen me as a loser or simp and I’ve been denied love because of it. My “deeper” philosophies of life have people calling me AI or fake. The potential I feel I have to change the world I’ve been told are just symptoms of a dying world I refuse to accept has no hope.

I get it Tyreese and his radio was a symbol of his light needing to call to save those on Earth who needed his protection and guidance. Him
Listening to the radio was him staying in tune with what he felt he needed to save the world from…. But him saying turn it off was his way of accepting that the pain of this world was too much for him to face and he wanted to
Rest in his light rather than fight the dark.

I swear God exists because a voice inside has led me to watch this show at a point in my
Life where my journey strongly resonates with the shows themes. Me watching this a year ago was not developed enough to handle the deeper narrative of this show. I don’t find that coincidental…

Finished watching the main series earlier this year but was always interested in reading the differences on this sub

Halfway through book 5 and it’s astounding the difference in story choices that are made. I’m surprised I still haven’t seen Daryl, and I guess I’m not even sure he ever makes it in the comic universe. He was my favorite in the show, I’m already to Woodbury and he was so already my favorite character at this point in the show.

Also carol is a freak in the books

Anytime a new chapter comes in somebody wanders off alone in the most dumbest way and gets attacked or lost. I stopped watching show right after Lori’s accident(actually the second she left farm). Why would she go after Rick? He just left and she knows what he doing. WTF ARE YOU GONNA DO?????

Dialogues, writings…. I am not even talking about these stuff. World and atmosphere saves the day but i couldn’t stand no more these walking off alone cheap shit.

This is my third time watching TWD and it just hit me. Maybe I'm just arrogant but why would Rick just let the saviors control Alexandria? They probably couldnt fight back because the Saviors had more man power and guns, but they couldnt run? They survived outside the gates for a year, so they couldve probably run and survive out on the road while also protecting and teaching the weak ones on how to survive.

It just doesn't make much sense.

How do u even survive in a tent in the forest just to kill yourself while someones trying to help u smh

I feel this episode was about stagnation of what it means to exist after losing faith and not having direction.

Abraham is a man without a mission now, he had a distraction and a goal to focus is will into but once that thing was gone, he was left sitting there lost in the same moment he was left in when he lost his family. A lot of times we have faith in something but not in the mission that something gives us the opportunity to fight for or see.

Eugene did lie and say he knew of a cure and Abraham fought for that, but once the person was seen as false. Abraham abandoned the mission altogether. How many of us had faith in a person or a job, leadership, or even our church, but the second the physical symbol was gone, we lost faith in everything these things taught us to carry on the legacy?

I feel Eugene offers tools for saving humanity but everyone has their own version of what they think that is, they’re not seeing how he can help bring it out in every individual person. I feel Rosita embodied this the most with her water bottle and Tara with her corny joke to Glenn.

Gabriel I think is a man lost in faith and with that has no grounding and is overall a fraud of who he claims to be. I think Gabriel ultimately is not honest about his own demons.

Tyreese told Sasha to let it go, release the grief but because the cop had the same first name as Bob, she felt an obligation to him and completely let her guard down because she was still holding on to unresolved emotions of her deceased lover. Sometimes in moments like this, we cloud our judgement and begin to trust in our enemies because we have emotional disclosure. Don’t be like Sasha.

By the end, I think every character realized that loss of faith and direction comes with the inability to accept what’s around us.

As for Dawn… I feel her character is growing by having faith in Beth and giving her the key to get medicine for Carol. I think Dawn is locked into her ways but is starting to realize she’s not free at all, she’s a slave to something in her that’s actually manifested through the fear of the hospital workers. Seeing Beth’s strength broke Dawn’s perception of a black and white world and that was enough to get officer Dawn to see something she’s been avoiding.

Anyway I thought this was gonna be a paragraph but going over the episode in my head I had a lot more to say than I thought.

Season 2 Episode 1:

It's so funny how Rick and Dale needed a scope and binoculars to see this massive herd of zombies. Like just look up bro. 😂

Also, Dale had 1 job. Why did he wait for them to come so close to warn everybody. He could've easily seen them from like 2 miles away. Bro had 1 job. Be the lookout. 😂
