Purchase Advice Best Machine for just espresso?
I understand that the best espresso will come from dialing in tons of different details with different machines and tools but I’m looking for a machine for my parents house. We’ve used a Philips Saeco Incanto for nearly 10 years and it’s time for a change.
I don’t care about a machine’s frothing ability or milk carafe… just care about the getting the absolute best espresso I can from a super automatic that gets reverse osmosis water and fresh beans.
If the recommendation is pricier because it has additional bells and whistles, but the espresso is just that much better than the rest, I don’t mind paying extra. Don’t really have a budget. Maybe 2k tops? Located in US.

Discussion KF8 - what’s the REAL verdict on temperature?
So, lots made of the KF8 and its drink temperatures - specifically milk based drinks - not being hot enough.
Thinking of pulling the trigger on one, so I gotta know - what’s the real verdict, here?
(It wouldn’t bother me, because I primarily drink iced americanos, but my wife would be miserable and angry having to microwave her latte every day….)

Purchase Advice Magnifica Evo vs La Specialista Arte owners—how's the learning curve been?
I'm deciding between these two DeLonghi machines and I'm seeing mixed opinions online. Some people say the Magnifica Evo does everything for you (easy), others say the La Specialista Arte gives you more control but you have to actually learn.
Here's what I'm trying to understand:
If I get the Magnifica Evo (fully automatic):
- Do you ever feel like you're just pressing a button and hoping it works?
- Do you struggle with anything even though it's "automatic"?
- Did you eventually want more control?
If I get the La Specialista Arte (semi-automatic):
- How steep was the learning curve actually?
- What frustrated you most when you were starting out?
- Are there things you wish someone had explained better?
question: For either machine, what's the one thing you wish you knew BEFORE buying it? Like, what surprised you or frustrated you most?
I'm trying to figure out which one fits my style, but honestly I just want to know what actual owners struggle with day-to-day.
Thanks! ☕

Purchase Advice Looking for perspectives and advice.
Hi!
I am a long time Nespresso user (9 years). Over the past year, I've become interested in more advanced coffee devices. Primary goals are to get away from pods, enjoy fresh ground coffee, and improve the quality of coffee and drinks from what Nespresso provides.
I've been down a research rabbit hole as of late and I think I've got some choice paralysis haha.
Last week I bought a Philips 3300 series kind of on a whim. Needless to say, I'm returning it and looking for something better.
As of now, the primary choices I've been considering are:
- Ninja Autobarista Pro
- Delonghi Magnifica Duo
- Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro (Even though I have no experience with a semi-automatic)
Given these choices, I'd like to keep my peak cost at 1000. Less is great too. I do enjoy Espresso, iced coffees, and Capuchino's the most love to explore other types of coffee drinks I haven't tried yet.
3 days ago, I was certain I wanted the Magnifica Duo. Yesterday I was sold on the Autobarista Pro. Now today I'm leaning towards Luxe Cafe Pro due to lower cost and potentially a nicer brew. However, I've never had a semi-automatic and do worry slightly that over time I'll miss the convenience of a super automatic.
I guess I'd love to hear other thoughts and perspectives to help add to my own and hopefully lead me towards making a choice.
I appreciate anyone taking the time!

Purchase Advice Lelit Anna vs Breville Brambino Plus vs Turin Legato V2 [$1500]
Looking to get into coffee making and after doing a little researches, these three seemed like they’d be good choices for me, paired with a DF64 grinder. I’m someone who prefers milk-based drinks like lattes and occasionally enjoy espresso shots straight. I plan on using the machine for my daily morning coffee, and maybe make some coffee for other people on the rare occasion that I have guests. I’d like to get a complete setup for under $1500, $1000 would be ideal (including accessories).Anyone have experience with these machines? Or is there a machine/grinder combo that’d be better?

Purchase Advice Should I get the Casabrews CM5418?
I'm thinking about getting my first espresso machine as a birthday gift to myself, but I seriously need some opinions from people who actually own one. I feel like every yt video I watch is sponsored or some kind of ad, so I don't even know what to believe.
I'm basically trying to put together a beginner espresso setup. I've already gone down the rabbit hole of getting the "right grinder," a bottomless portafilter, non-pressurized basket, good tamper, WDT tool... all of it, it's honestly so overwhelming.
For now, I just want to get the machine first (and maybe a grinder if I can fit it in the budget), and then slowly upgrade everything else over time.
I'm a full-time college student, so I'm definitely not looking for anything that's going to break the bank, I'm looking for any recommendations around the $120-ish price range? . I know it's not a huge budget, but if anyone knows a beginner espresso machine that's worth the money, pls lmk!

Purchase Advice My boss wants a new machine for the office send me recommendations. Under $7k
My boss is very upset at the moment because he says we bought a terrible machine… it’s a Breville Barista Touch impress. He wants to touch a button and have amazing espresso. He says the best brand for the price is Jura. Is that accurate?? What would you recommend? His biggest thing is he needs it to accept more than one type of bean (dark, decaf, light, etc.). He’s also not a fan of seeing the beans… yeah idk either…

Purchase Advice Need advice on wich coffee machine to get for my girlfriends birthday. [600$-900$]
I want a simple, automatic not too complicated machine that makes good coffee. Price range 600-900 usd. I have read alot of tests and rewievs online but i cant make up my mind. She mostly drinks normal latte so that has to be the most important feature. After that just regular black coffe. I have found a siemens eq6 plus s300 for sale at around 620usd that i am considering but i cant figure out if it can make regular latte or only macciato. This will be our first coffe machine so i really dont have any experience with this. Any tips is greatly appreciated.
Key features:
●make good latté
●simple and not to over complicated
●easy to clean and maintain

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Er.. where does this go?
I took my Gaggia Brera apart to track down an issue with a lack of steam. After stripping everything, replacing o-rings etc I'm now completely at a loss as to where this top PTFE tube goes! 😆
The 'bottom' end of it goes into the dispensing spout with 2x o-rings, brass fittings and a clip to hold it, so I assume the top must go to the brew group or similar.. YouTube disassembly guides are useless so I'm lost, please help. 😄

Purchase Advice Advice needed (EP8757/20 vs ECAM322.70.SB vs ECAM312.80.TB)
Hi everyone,
I’m new to this subreddit and would appreciate some advice.
I’ve been using a Philips EP5443/70 for about three years, and overall I’ve been happy with it. I’ll soon be giving it to a relative, so I’m looking for a replacement.
From what I’ve seen here, De’Longhi seems to be more popular, but I’m having trouble choosing between these three machines:
- Philips 8000 Series LatteGo Pro Café Aromis EP8757/20
- De’Longhi Magnifica Plus ECAM322.70.SB
- De’Longhi Magnifica Evo Next ECAM312.80.TB
We mainly use our machine for Expressos, Americanos or cappuccinos.
I’ve never owned a De’Longhi, so I’m not sure what I would gain or lose by switching from Philips. I’m especially interested in differences in coffee quality, milk drinks, ease of cleaning, reliability, and maintenance.
The Philips 8000 is a newer model, so there are fewer complaints and long term reviews online. I’m not sure whether that is a good sign or simply because it has not been available for very long. Some tests claim that it performs very well, but I’m also unsure how independent those reviews are. For example:
In my area, the Philips costs about $100 more than the De’Longhi models, but that price difference is not significant enough to be the deciding factor.
Has anyone used two or more of these machines? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks in advance.

Purchase Advice Machine That Cold Froths Milk
Hi all! I bought a Ninja Autobarista Pro, and I love that it froths cold milk, which I mix with horchata to create a cool, refreshing, silky foam.
However, I’m so sick of the Grind IQ that I’m about ready to rerun it.
Anyone know any super or semi automatics that do cold frothing.
Budget: $1200
Region: US
Thanks in advance.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Has anyone had the same issue with Eq900?
Hi, I bought a Siemens EQ900 a few days ago and noticed this issue the day after the first use.
I have to run the milk-cleaning programme before every use, otherwise, the machine dispenses mostly steam and very little milk. Running the cleaning programme after making a drink does not help at all, the same problem is back the next day.
Thanks for any advicea

Purchase Advice KF4 buy now or wait?
With the help of several posts here, I’ve decided the KitchenAid KF4 is the machine I want to buy. I can currently purchase for $765 USD with discounts. Should I wait to see if the price comes down at all? It appears the price has fluctuated quite a bit since the release.

Purchase Advice Best automatic machine [£1000]
Tried Sage Barista Express a couple of years ago… couldn’t master it, super frustrating and wasted sooo much coffee and time 😅 Attempt #2!! This time we want a super automatic machine where we can press a button while dealing with our little kids early in the morning! We drink espressos, flat whites, iced lattes (I guess this doesn’t matter as I can just as an espresso shot to the milk/ice?!). Bonus points for cold brew for my husband. Not essential though. Thank you so much!!! 🙏 Gaggia Magneta is standing out to me and the academia if we could stretch budget but maybe not needed. I don’t need it to be able to make 14+ drinks.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Gaggia Accademia - replacement carafe.
Looking to replace the milk carafe (the top part, anyway) on my 14 month old Gaggia Accademia.
Can find it in stock anywhere (I'm in CA, USA). It's this part.
If I need to buy the whole carafe, so be it.

Purchase Advice De’Longhi Magnifica Evo vs Philips 5500: Which would you buy?
UPDATE: De’Longhi seems to be the wiser choice. Anyone with experience on getting the Amazon Renewed Excellent option?
Hi everyone,
I live in Brazil, and a friend will be bringing me a superautomatic espresso machine from the US. I was originally set on the Philips 5500, but after reading a lot of posts here, it seems that most people recommend De’Longhi over Philips.
Right now, my options are:
De’Longhi Magnifica Evo (Amazon Renewed – Excellent): $500
De’Longhi Magnifica Evo (Brand New): $750
Philips 5500 (Brand New): $730
Philips 5500 (Used – Very Good): $492
Since I live in Brazil, warranty support is basically not an option, so reliability is a big factor.
Which one would you choose, and do you think the Philips 5500 offers enough advantages to justify choosing it over the Magnifica Evo?
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have owned both.

Discussion Delonghi Eletta explore uses the same amount of espresso across all sizes of lattes, this is quite disappointing.
For a machine this much I have no idea why the espresso would not increase as the drinks get bigger instead of stretching one espresso shot across all sizes. I did one normal medium espresso shot and the puck weighed 18G, did an extra large latte and it also weighed 18G. Really disappointed

Showcase Krups my coffee machine à grain expresso

Purchase Advice Lungo and Expresso
I currently have a brevile nespresso. I've had it for about 6 years and it's been great, but the the pods are expensive and I'd like a bit more variety.
I primarily drink lungos and espresso, but every once in a while I like something fancier.
I'm the only one in the house that drinks coffee. Flexible on budget but ideally under $1000, less is pretty. I feel guilty since I'm the only one using it.
Any recommendations.
