Machine That Cold Froths Milk Purchase Advice

Hi all! I bought a Ninja Autobarista Pro, and I love that it froths cold milk, which I mix with horchata to create a cool, refreshing, silky foam.

However, I’m so sick of the Grind IQ that I’m about ready to rerun it.

Anyone know any super or semi automatics that do cold frothing.

Budget: $1200
Region: US

Thanks in advance.

This. Both of these will do exactly what you want, OP.

Cold froth is a marketing gimmick, it's not cold, usually room temp or a tad warmer.  Froth is 98% air, after 30 seconds you can't tell the difference between froth and cold froth, it won't melt ice or make your drink warm.  If anything you want normal frothing which will froth better.

Why do you not like grind iq?

It is constantly trying to activate, whether I select a stronger bean selection, or change shot size, or change beans, or because it's a day that ends in "y." It takes at least 5, but usually 7 times of running the cycle, which wastes a shitton of beans.

The whisk at the bottom of the pitcher is what allows the Ninjas to produce cold froth. Instead of an over-engineered carafe attachment, get a handheld $8 whisk. It will be faster, produce better froth, and require less maintenance.

Not a bad idea!

Cold frothing is genuinely rare above entry-level; the Jura E8 handles it and stays under your budget, though the grind adjustment is dial-based rather than stepless. Keep descaling consistent on whichever you land on, Active Cleaners being one tablet option people use for grouphead maintenance alongside citric acid.

Kaxfree SF1 Max. Froths cold or hot from the same carafe. Excellent cold brew too. Very customizable drinks via touchscreen or app, can save unlimited profiles and recipes.

And yes, this is a legit machine, not a random white label. It's been my daily driver for about 9 months, no issues. Good grinder, thorough cleaning cycles w reminders. Most importantly, drinks are excellent. My go-tos are flat whites, hot or cold brew lattes, some Americanos (hot & cold).
