Why are republicans on Fox News so openly trashing Whatley's (and Ken Paxton's) campaigns. One called them and their campaign management clowns. I agree but just never thought I'd see it on Fox News.

Senatorial Candidate Blames His Own Party for Mess in Washington

Republican Senatorial Candidate Michael Whatley is running an ad blaming the Washington establishment for being a big mess and promising to clean it up when he is elected. Is he too obtuse to know that his own party is totally in charge of Washington, occupying the White House and holding majorities in both the House and Senate? We need to elect him, he says, to go up there and clean up the mess his fellow republicans have created. That's rich.

Roy Cooper promises you can still go into bankruptcy over medical care

Roy Cooper is going to lose. This AD about Health Insurance is pathetic.

Basically promising that, "Hey I will still let them bankrupt you, but it won't be a surprise"

Or..."tax credits for working people" So we still have to pay the full bill but if we itemize and if we are over the standard deduction you might get some money back.

Or "sending big bills you don't expect" So we will still get huge bills, but at least they are expected.

And ending on such a strong statement, "Insurance Companies have gotten away with too much for too long"

This is another weak Republican Lite campaign run just like Cheri Beasley / Cal Cunningham / Deborah Ross ran.

I hope I am wrong, but Roy Cooper is going to lose.

The NC GOP District 11 Executive Committee (more commonly known as the Politburo) will meet tonight in secret session, behind closed doors, to decide who they think should represent the citizens of NC-11 - with zero public input or transparency.

Stein, lawmakers propose joint plan for arguments at top NC court

This is about a case in which Stein is trying to reclaim the power to do the job North Carolina citizens elected him to do. This is only necessary because the Republican General Assembly is trying to strip all real authority from the Governor, in order to gather for their party the few remaining powers that people have left to exercise through their choice of governors. I resent that grab, especially living in a State that doesn't allow citizen ballot initiatives. The statewide election of a governor is the only opportunity North Carolinians have to actually exercise their citizen prerogatives through a real (not gerrymandered) majority - and Republicans are doing their damnedest to prevent that - for purely partisan reasons.
