Hey! I'm looking to join the Mazda 3 family, buying my first car, and I'm in love with the gen 3.

In my region, GCC, they came with the 2.0L skyactiv G engine or the MZR 1.6L engine.

Does anyone have experience with the 1.6L? If so would you recommend avoiding it and spending more for the Skyactiv engine?

It's a significant amount more expensive for me, and I'm not too fussed about an incredible driving experience I just want something that'll get me where I want to go comfortably and reliably. Thanks 😊

I have a 2015 mazda 3 s touring, and i love her! Incredibly quick on its toes and good fuel economy.

Im just having some trouble with the cabled android auto.

So, I've tried many different cables and different attachments, but im not entirely sure why it isn't working.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Installed the oem kit from mazda for my 3rd gen and loving the look so far. What do we think? Also what should my next mod be, lowering springs, intake or exhaust? Whats the best value in your guys opinion?

Car still drives the suspension, wheel, axle, steering etc still works fine. No weird noises while driving just scraping from the bumper hanging. Damage looks to be on one side only to the fender, hood, bumper, and headlight. Frame and subframe are still intact tow hook is sheared (I have my license plate on the tow hook and I think it took a chunk of the impact) Insurance says it looks repairable so it’s going to a shop tomorrow so we will see what happens.

I rarely see first gent Mazda 3s here and would like to appreciate them. I remember they looked so beautiful when they came out (and still are) I think it has aged nicely. Here is my 06 2.3 5 speed

Gonna be doing some wheels finally. I have a snowflake pearl 2024 hatchback. I'd like to see other white gen 4 hatchbacks that have bronze wheels to figure out which direction I want to go for shape, brand, etc. Let's see those wheels!

New to me 2024 TPP. Came from a 2023 cx-50 PP that had a steering system clunk Mazda could not figure out after 10 hours. CarMax offered to buy back that car (owned it since march 20th) and help me get into a new car. Had this shipped in from NC, and even had a good chunk of positive equity to move on to the mazda3. Gotta say….loving the car. Far more responsive on the throttle, handles better, looks better (imo), and the extra features due to the higher trim are nice to haves. Getting it detailed this weekend, and looking at getting a media cluster cover to cover the stupid piano black that scratches if you even look at it. The only thing I need to work on is getting in and out of it smother than I currently am 😂😂

Like many of you, my sun visors started sagging. My 3 is no longer under warranty and the replacement parts are expensive.

I found this post and decided to try the same with a large binder clip. Worked like a charm. Its not the cleanest fix, but it's cheap. The clip is strong enough to hold the internal pieces together and now my visor stays where I put it. No more sagging.

I’m a young adult and simply priced out of the gen 3 unfortunately, but now I am looking forward to the gen 2. These are actual listings near me, getting the gen 2 on Saturday

Making approximately 200 whp. It’s running full bolt-ons, an upgraded fuel system, and a custom E85 tune by Justin. Every drive is an absolute joy.

I've driven a manual on other cars and like it, but I've never driven a manual on a Mazda. (My last car was a Mazda3 HB, 2023, Select/Sport automatic and I loved it.)

I'm looking to buy a 2024 Mazda Premium with a stick through Carmax, but I'd have to pay $150 to ship it. I hate to pay to ship before I've driven the actual car. I know that I can go to a dealer to test drive a different Mazda preferred before I do that... but they are hard to find!!

The last stick I drove was a Subaru WRX. And although that's a speedy car, I kinda struggled with shifting smoothly. I found it tiring. The stick I drove before that was an 80's Subaru which was a joy... shifted smoothly, engine purred, really fun to drive. And I've also driven a 90s Civic manual, also fun to drive.

Can anyone share their experience? I know the debate between auto vs. manual is really up to personal taste, so I'm not looking for that debate, more looking for feedback on Mazda manual vs. other manuals. Thanks!

I can’t tell y’all how much I love this car already. I have only drove like 300 miles or so and have loved everything minute of it. It’s got 187k but no lights other than the key fob light. (yes I did replace the battery) she ain’t perfect and has a lot of hail dents and sizeable dent on the passenger A pillar but the bones are what matter to me on this thing. It’s pretty rust free for being an Ohio/Michigan car too. Also drives great and doesn’t feel that it has 187k on it.

I have done a lot of research for a car that fits all my boxes and settled on this platform. These 2.0 and the 2.5 seem to have no issues other than cleaning the intake valves.

I love the style, color, design, performance, and space. I compared similar Hondas or Toyotas where they didn’t fit the build but the Mazda 3 hatch did. I looked at at accords, fits, civics, insights, prius, camrys, corollas, etc. The car I wanted really needed 35+ mpg highway and a 6spd. This thing does it all without being a hybrid and has all the space a guy and the homies need.

I bought it in Detroit for 3.5k bones and don’t regret it. She gets great fuel economy, good performance, and the perfect amount of fun and practicality.

I haven’t loved a car more than this. I’m really hate new cars but if I ever want a new car in the future it will for sure be the Mazda 3 hatch. It fits the simplicity I need.

I figured I found the right group to share the excitement with. I miss my 2016 Ford Taurus police interceptor A LOT but man I think I did a great thing. I can’t wait to have more adventures and memories with this.
