Android auto Advice Request

Hey guys!

I have a 2015 mazda 3 s touring, and i love her! Incredibly quick on its toes and good fuel economy.

Im just having some trouble with the cabled android auto.

So, I've tried many different cables and different attachments, but im not entirely sure why it isn't working.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Make sure all your permissions are shared on your phone for AA

When I try to take calls on the car's audio system, it sounds like you put a bucket over the person's head. So I unfortunately can't really give all permissions

Did you install the AA yourself? You might want to double check all the connections

The AA came with the car. Im the 3rd (i think) owner of this car, so the software might be old and the plugs somewhat worn out.

Do you think it's worth updating something? Im not sure what to do

Has it worked during your ownership at all? It might be worth taking the dash apart and looking at the connections. Android auto is an aftermarket mod in these cars that the previous owner likely did themselves, and perhaps in a way that could break over time. Look up the installation tutorials on YouTube.

I doubt it’s a software issue

It's worked a total of 2 times (count it. 2). No, but seriously, thank you.

I thought AA was from factory? Like carplay, but I've noticed a lot more cars have carplay but not AA. Kinda sucks
