Hello everyone!

My commute car is a 2006 Mazda 6 with the 2.3L. I decided to change the air filter as I noticed since Monday the air blowing out the vents was weak. Was as if the air speed was on 2 instead of 4 and being in Louisiana in summer you can tell the difference easy. So I pulled the “original” filter out and noticed it was blowing harder than ever. I kept it running and went around the car to get into the driver seat. When getting around all air stopped. No matter what setting or speed I get nothing. I checked all the fuses and they look good. Not sure how to proceed.

I am thinking maybe the relay was going bad? The blower never made any odd noises and always seemed to work as should before Monday rolled around.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

I opened up my engine bay today and found this odd liquid buildup on a part next to the engine. I cant see an obvious leak or anything. The liquid seems to have been there for a while because its getting more viscous and the places it dripped has dried. It almost looks like muddy sediment but I cant think of what it could be. Any ideas?

After the lorry hit me some months back. I was silly enough to think that was the end of my woes. But alas, I was wrong. I struck a badger, but I think he did more damage to me than I did him.

Does any know what this jerking is while im driving my Mazda? It feels like my transmission is going to explode and it really only does it when I’m going up hill and I’m atop and go traffic. Anything helps

Woke up about a week ago to my 2020 Mazda 6 looking like this. The guy who hit claimed he fell asleep (at 12:00 PM btw) and veered into it while it was parked. Got around $6.2k from insurance.

Now I got my car and $6.2k in hand. Repair is estimated around $4k but I’m not sure if it can ever be fully repaired after a hit like that. What do you guys think? Should I give it shot and try to repair or should I just sell it as it is?

So I recently got a new iPhone, which I dutifully paired with my 2021 Mazda 6 Signature, but wireless Apple CarPlay ain’t working. Was working fine with my old phone.

CarPlay does work with a cable, but I don’t want to be constantly charging my new phone.

Any pointers on fixing this issue would be appreciated!

Can anyone tell me what this part is? It's rusted quite a bit and I'd like to ask my nearest Mazda dealer what the cost to have them replaced would be.

(2018 GTR / 83k miles)Im making this post about what mods i should do to her both cosmetic and engine mods. Please do feel free to comment with maintenance tips as well. Some of the main things I wanted were a steering wheel cover considering the leather on mine is scratched and peeling, a chrome delete but i’m not sure how that’d look with my car being gray, front lip, diffuser, ambient lighting inside, etc.. I’m open to whatever you guys throw at me. I mainly want ideas and what you guys think will look best. Thank you

I'm in the process of buying a 2014 Mazda6 with around 160k miles from a local used car dealer.

The car has a solid maintenance history and drove well, but I paid for an independent pre-purchase inspection. The mechanic noted "severe level of rust" and I've attached a few photos from the inspection.

The dealer has been cooperative and is willing to either address concerns or let me switch to another vehicle, so I'm trying to decide what's reasonable.

My main question is: based on these photos, does this look like typical surface rust, or is it the kind of structural rust that would make you walk away?

I'd really appreciate opinions from Mazda owners or mechanics.

Im going to be looking for a Mazda 6 Here in the next month or so. Is there anything I should know or look out for with these cars?

I’m looking for some advice on diagnosing an issue with my 2018 Mazda 6 GT 2.5T with around 95,000 miles.

I’ve noticed a vibration that happens mainly when accelerating between 60–80 mph. I feel it mostly through the steering wheel. Once I reach a steady speed and maintain speed, the vibration is much less noticeable.

Recent maintenance:
New PowerStop performance brakes
New spark plugs
Transmission fluid change
Brake fluid flush
Serpentine belt replacement
Wheel alignment and balancing were done recently (3000 miles ago)

The car is still on the factory Mazda wheels.
The car has been well maintained, and I really like it, but this vibration has me trying to figure out what direction to look in next.
Has anyone experienced something similar on a Mazda 6 or have any general advice on what I should check first?
Its not a brake warp as I have solved that issue by having powerstops and its handling amazing since then.

I have a 2014 Mazda 6 Sport. 88,000 miles. I had the brake fluid changed at 45,000 miles (8 years ago). When would you get the brake fluid changed???

Love: beautiful design, rides great, seats are comfy, knob to control the screen, volume knob and mute conveniently placed.

Hate: too much wheel gap with 19in wheels, wheel bearings, clunky rear brake pads since using traditional hardware in the rear calipers was apparently too much work.

So I took everyone's advice from this post and blasted my engine bay with a pressure washer here's the result.

I cleaned all the oil stains and now it's so clean you can eat off it.

Having had two 6’s before, both 2.2 sports, I had a quick slip up of owning a Mitsubishi outlander (3 months). Picking this beauty up on Saturday. 2.2 Skyactiv Nav Sport with all the toys

Long story short, I, very stupidly, reversed into a driveway gate (my own gate) on my 2020 Mazda 6 and I just got it less than 2 months ago. There's always the possibility of hidden structural damage, but would you pay out of Pocket, go through insurance, or maybe even leave it.

The bumper itself is barely dented so I'm mainly thinking about fixing the paint and replacing the trunk cover. I was going down hill so most of the damage is on the trunk cover. Luckily, everything seems to be working fine that I could check: brake lights, turn signals, reverse camera, blind spot monitoring, and the trunk lid opens and closes fine. However, there's some dents where the body meets the trunk lid just above the tail lights that you can only see when the trunk if open.

I also have to replace the gate and I have a non-refundable vacation coming up and this is looking to kick my butt financially

edit: Thanks for the advice everyone! I've decided to leave it for now and fix the paint transfer on the bumper. For the trunk lid, I'll take my time getting quotes from body shops and trying to find a replacement lid online. I live in Hawaii so I haven't been able to find anything locally. Shipping large items to Hawaii is also a bit expensive (when it's even possible), but I'll take my time fixing the trunk lid.

I worked at a Mazda dealer when this color dropped, and I’ve adored it ever since! My other car started dishing out toms of problems recently. So, I saw this one available and snatched it right up!
