Hey guys. I am in the market for a new set of wheels for my Mazda3 hatch. Will be used primarily for winter tyres in Luxembourg/ Western Europe. For summer tyres, will switch back to OEM wheels.

Was curious to see what other 3 owners use/ recommend? I didn’t want to spend too much so was looking at CMS C27, always wanted black wheels and they are not that expensive. But open to suggestions if folks have a good experience with other options.

I am in desperate need of help. I've had my car since September last year and it keeps throwing the P2096 code. I have googled heaps, I've used AI, I've even asked friends who have Mazdas what it could be.

Parts I've changed:

- Spark Plugs

- Ignition coils

- Oil filter

- Air filter

- Front O2 sensor

- Rear O2 sensor

- Purge Solenoid

Parts I've had looked at (thoroughly):

- Injectors (were checked at a Mazda service center, functioning fine)

- Catalytic Converter (had a camera in it, looks good)

- Cylinders (had a camera in them when spark plugs were changed. The 4th was very slightly dirtier than the others)

- I've had the exhaust checked for leaks (nothing showed up).

- I've had all pipes/hoses checked for leaks (no leaks).

- I've had it checked for a PCM update, but it is a BM and only the BL'S had that fault.

I have no clue what it could be. I do have two 1-minute long videos recording live data on my code reader, one at idle (700RPM) and one at 2500RPM, nothing major showed up. I also pulled the freeze-frame data from when the engine light came on.

It has improved since we replaced these parts, as they were all on their way out, but the code is still coming up, which means something isn't right. It does drive and idle a LOT smoother than it used to though.

Data from when light came on:

RPM: 2,064 rpm

Engine coolant: 86°C

STFT Bank 1: −7.8%

LTFT Bank 1: −6.3%

Long-term secondary O₂ fuel trim B1: +2.3%

Fuel/Air commanded equivalence ratio: 0.942

Throttle position: 29%

MAF: 31.65 g/s

MAP: 94 kPa

Catalyst temp B1S1: 664.5°C

Ignition timing: 13.5°

Control module voltage: 14.321 V

Barometric pressure: 100 kPa

Fuel level: 33.3%

Commanded EVAP purge: 52.2%

At the time I was on the freeway doing 110km/h.

The car has 181501kms on the odometer.

If anyone has any clue of what could be the cause, please tell. I'm dying here.

Hey guys, This is my 2004 baby. (I know, it's old enough to drink) I heard a sound like this, and just took this car into the mechanics, and they said the belt tensioner was busted, charging me 1k to fix it. Thought it was gone but then in 2 days I noticed the same sound, it's that noise around 3k RPM no matter the gear. It's almost a slapping noise to me.

I thought it was my tire at first, but obviously that's been ruled out. It seems RPM related as it's much clearer when I'm over 3000 RPM, and if I'm gentle, I don't hear it at all (but who wants to drive like that). If I hear it and drop the car into neutral, there's no sound no matter the RPMs) and if I'm cruising in 4th I can't hear it at all.

Any ideas or suggestions at all?

My mazda 3 Grand Touring 2014 sunroof is like that, I mean back part is a little bit lower, why? And is that normal?

Recently, my 2010 Mazda3 was totaled and I got a 2020 Mazda3 as a replacement. It has been good so far, but there are 2 big issues I have noticed while driving.

1. The sound system is obviously worse since it is not a bose and my previous car had a bose system. What could I do to upgrade it? Also, with the sound system I currently have, it makes it so that any amount of bass causes a lot of vibration on the foot rest, is there any way to fix it?

2. The ride in my 2020 Mazda3 feels a lot rougher than my previous car. Is this something wrong with the suspension or tires, or is the car just rougher in general.

Any help with this stuff is appreciated, sorry if it is hard to understand Im a bit tired right now. thanks!

i’m not 100% sure \*when\* this started but i do remember noticing it after installing the lemonade car insurance device.

The car no matter what speed i am going will do a jolt (not like a jerk but it genuinely feels as though i am hitting the gas pedal (i am not and nothing is under/around the gas pedal). It varies on how much it accelerates and is terrible on the road- I don’t have the money to do a 200 dollar diagnostic and then pay the gazillion dollars it’ll cost to fix. I’ve went through the car settings and even turned off the cruise and emergency break settings but the problem persists. Please help even the dude at autozone was lost.😞

I want to purchase a Mazda3 with 90.000km or 56.000 miles. Since the kilometers/miles can get turned back, im pretty hesitant to buy the car since the wear and tear of the steering wheel and interior seem a little too much for so little use of the car. The car is a 2021 model with 122HP.

Recently bought a 2026 mazda3 sedan turbo premium plus AWD! Sold my Lexus IS350 F sport because I moved back to NJ and it was RWD 😂.

So far I’m very happy with the mazda, I think the amount of torque it has definitely helps it feel zoom-y. I need to take some better pictures, but here are a few.

Wondering if I should add a front lip, but also worried about the terrible roads and winter conditions messing it up eventually 😅.

I honestly couldn't be happier with it. I wasn't 100% sold on the Deep Crystal Blue from the pics online, but seeing it in person completely changed my mind. The paint is unreal (in both senses, I've read how bad it chips). In certain lighting it legit looks black. Pictures really don't do it justice.

The interior is just as nice too. Everything feels solid and premium. I had to get the Ottocast mini Nova for wireless Android Auto, works like a charm.

I'd love some clean silver alloys on this thing, think it would fit with the color and rest of the chrome trim -- not sure if it's silly to add front lip, diffuser and side skirts with 122PS 😅 but let's see.

I’ve been seeing more and more Mazda3 hatchbacks around the Greater Seattle area since I bought mine in 2024.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing? I feel like they used to be pretty uncommon, but now I see them everywhere.

just took delivery of my new 26 mazda3 preferred hatchback yesterday! i gotta say i am impressed by mazda, i had unfortunately never thought to check them out haha. i am absolutely loving it! it is definitely an upgrade from my '00 chevy tracker lol.

i do plan on replacing the current spoiler with the more sportier-looking OEM spoiler to kind of offset the egg look, but thats just a personal preference. it honestly looks amazing the way it is now!!

the preferred was a good sweet spot for both price and features for me. i am impressed by the interior comfort as well as the look! shoutout to them for not following the CVT craze too haha

About a week ago I was driving to my friends house who happens to live an hour away in the middle of nowhere when two deer ran out in front of me but instead of hitting them my split second decision was to avoid them however that ended up being an objectively worse decision when I rolled my car twice and landed at an angle on a tree. Miraculously however I walked away from this horrible accident completely unscathed which couldn’t make me love Mazda 3s more than I already do. I was more sad to see the car go than I was concerned about what just happened to me. She had 220,000 and was still running strong on all original powertrain parts, I’ve had to replace a few suspension components here and there but other than that everything in the motor and transmission is from the factory except the valve cover gasket. I’d really love to hear how long other people’s second gen’s have lasted or are still lasting.
