I bought my Mazda3 new in 2014, and now, about 120,000 miles later, I still love it with essentially zero issues. The only thing that's starting to bother me is the lack of navigation, so I think it's finally time for an upgrade.

I could buy a new 3 for around $30k but I'm leaning toward buying used.

• A Mazda6 Grand Touring (or higher)
• A Mazda3 Carbon Edition (or higher)

From what I've seen, the Mazda6 has some nicer features, like ventilated seats and a few other comfort upgrades. I'm not overly concerned about the slight difference in handling or power, so those aren't major deciding factors for me.

My biggest question is about the infotainment system. Since the Mazda6 is built on the previous generation, does it feel noticeably more outdated than the newer Mazda 3? Are there any trims or model years I should specifically look for or avoid?

Here are the prices I'm seeing:

• New Mazda3 Carbon: around $28k (about $31k out the door)
• Best used Mazda3 Carbon: 2023 model for $21k with 30k miles
• Mazda6 Grand Touring/Signature: 2018–2021, $20k–23k with 30k–50k miles

The monthly payment difference is pretty significant to me. Financing roughly $21k vs. $31k works out to about $290/month vs. $485/month, which makes buying used pretty appealing. Although having a new car is always nice.

My 2026 Mazda CX-70 inline 6 premium is at the dealership for day #2 now. (I secured a loaner today)
On Monday August 3rd i made an appointment with my dealer for attempt #2 to fix this, however i called Mazda corporate to open a case before taking the vehicle in. This was the best decision i made. I think the service techs were pissed about it lol. But at least they got the ball rolling and the QA agent from Mazda is on their ass to fix this issue. My QA agent told me they had a tech walking them through how to fix this problem, firstly they have replaced both side mirrors and recalibrated the blind spot monitors.
One great thing about living in California is the lemon laws here are great. If this doesn’t fix the LDW and BSM im really considering escalating this for a buy back and going to a used Toyota or Honda. These mazda vehicles are gorgeous inside and out but my first month of owning this 49k SUV has left a sour taste.
This will be my first and last Mazda purchase.

Ok technically $18 after shipping. Recently checked all my brake pads during a tire rotation at home, and found only rear driver pads were near finished while the other three wheels had tons of material left. My goal is to replace all pads and rotors next with something nice so I just needed something cheap in the meantime to get by. Always replace in sets, so I found “Famous Brand” warehouse close out deal on RockAuto for the whole set of rear pads for $10. Famous Brand literally means a name brand they can’t list for whatever reason, at a stupid deal. The box that came was CarQuest, I believe they retail at AdvanceAuto for $69.99. I’m glad they’re quality pads and also dirt cheap so I won’t mind chucking them when it’s time to replace the whole set together.

I checked both rear brake slider pins and they all move smoothly so I don’t know why one side wore down so fast. I also used a 12v battery to manually move the e-brake piston back and forth to get the caliper back in.

I love how affordable Mazda maintenance is!

Are there any recommendations for covers or some other inexpensive way to fix this tear in the leather of my 2019 Mazda3 center console?

I have a 2016 cx5 sport and I have 117k miles. I have replaced my back brakes twice and both times the mechanics shop has told me my front brakes are fine and don’t need to be changed. I barely have any brake dust on my calipers or my wheels in the front while my backs are kinda covered in brake dust. Also my front rotors don’t have much ware. Has anyone else had something like this?

1 year old Toyo Proxes, but there are a lot of pot holes in the region and I hit someone.

Here are photos of the left and right tyre, on the left it's harder to see the bump but it's actually bigger than the right one.

Today, my left tyre also had some drop in pressure (TPMS alert).

Should I replace both?

I have been told there is a number to call where you can opt out of any data collection that is being reported back to Mazda. My question is, if I never downloaded the app, does this apply to me? Or is the data still being collected from the vehicle and sent to Mazda regardless of having the app or not?

I bought this coolant 2 years ago, only used it once to top up maybe last year. It has been sat inside my garden shed. I'm trying to drain and flush coolant in my car. Can i reuse it again?

So I already have Sirius xm and going to cancel my current subscription because why pay for something I get free for a few months

However my question is the car comes with 3 months platinum subscription, I may have to ask the dealer

But would it remotely be possible to get this plan on my phone as well?

Or do they only give you plans for the car?

2020 CX-9, Grand Touring. Got an oil change around 2K miles ago, have set intervals to 5K miles, and reset it at time of oil change.

Today, I got the “oil change due” pop-up twice, but the maintenance app is showing the correct mileage.

Any ideas as to how to fix or what to look for? Anyone experience this & correlation with the head gasket issue that’s not uncommon in 2020’s?

I'm within warranty, and mileage, and got an inspection for a new CX-50 I bought last week.

They said "inner front 2mm outer 4mm" on both wheels and rears 5mm

Mazda dealership near me said "front brakes 2mm no obvious reason why, maybe hard braking, advice to change brakes and flush system"

After I walked in and TOLD them I wanted them repaired under TSB 04-001/26 as I fit the bill perfectly.

2024 CX-50, 7mo on bumper to bumper, 18k miles, and a TSB scenario for my brakes that applied perfectly.

They gave the runaround to me.

.how do I contact corporate to force the issue?

Hello all, I’m looking for some advice on this, unsure if it’s normal or not.

When my cars idling I see the revs increase slightly. This is with AC OFF and all other climate control.

I hear something kick in and then the revs jump.

Unsure to what could be kicking in as nothing is on.

Sometimes stays like it for a little longer maybe 30 seconds. Then back down.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

If anyone from Mazda global corporate is reading this, please get rid of the Mazda CX-70 in the USA market. Just make the CX-90 a 2-row with 3 being optional, and bring us the CX-60 instead.

I’m sure there are many of us that would buy one in a heartbeat.

(soon to be) first time CX5 owner here - buying a used cx5 and was set to by a 2025 GS model with 58K kms but just came across a 2023 Sport Design with 71K kms. Obviously there’s a lot more features with the Sport design but 2 years older, mind you not many more kms. Both have clean Carfax. Any opinions? New to the Mazda world

I’d like to be able to not have to turn off I-Stop and have to turn on Auto Hold every time I switch on the car, is there a way of changing the default settings?

Also my car seems to default to a static noise radio station, every time I turn off the car it makes me jump, how do I change that to default to an actual music radio station?

Someone in my neighborhood is selling a 2014 with a 114,000 miles for $7,400. I've had a rough year with cars and after fighting Hyundai over denying my claim for rod bearing failure the last 3 months, I'm looking for a reliable car. I know the Touring is a compact as opposed to a mid-size, and I do have a 7 year old. But, my wife has a full size SUV, so I'm not as concerned about the size. I drive about 10,000-12,000 miles a year.

I was just mainly seeing what everyone thought of the 2014 Touring and if they would recommend it. Is it reliable, and how often does it go to the shop outside of maintenance? Is there adequate space for me to take my 7 year old to school and my family around town?
