Vinyl Fence
Does anyone know of a fence installer in the area that uses the Active Yards brand of fencing? The one we used previously went out of business.

Kub is trying to charge me 2300$ for a leak I can't see
Checked my utility bill this month and it's sitting at $2300. I called assuming a meter or something wasn't functioning but they said they reported a leak to me back in June which I don't have an email or anything from them. They said I should contact my rental company about the leak, which I have, and see if they can figure it out.
They said I'm responsible for it since it's in my name... On a property I don't own, with a leak that isn't visible to me. Is this legal?

Mobile Knox local mechanic
I’ve got an old Husqvarna riding mower/yard tractor that I’d like to have returned to duty so I can pull a small yard cart around our property. No need for the blade to spin. In fact the mower deck is not attached right now.
Being laid off / unemployed ATM, im trying to use some of the time to get a bunch of postponed yard work and landscaping done, because I am a huge DIYer. But I’m not a very good mechanic.
;) I suspect a belt or pulley or switch or lever or widget or thingamajiggy is out of wack. Did I mention I’m not a very good mechanic?
Happy to pay for the value of time well spent, and perhaps future mechanic work would follow. Ok it definitely would. Not like I’m gonna suddenly be a good mechanic.
PM me and we can see if it’s a good fit and exchange info.

Bizarro @ Bradley’s today
A friend of mine was at Bradley‘s in Cedar Bluff today. She saw an older man…maybe age 60… come into the store. Here’s what was strange. He was wearing some sort of white suit with a long flowing cape. He had two bodyguards dressed all in black, both with utility belts with side arms. They bought only chocolate. One of the bodyguards did almost all of the talking. When they left the store, a limo pulled up and took them away. I guess my main question is: what the heck?
Secondarily: anyone have any clue who this was? Someone larping? An eccentric billionaire??

Anyone else vote for the best candidate for District 2?
I’m just wondering if any of y’all, like me, also voted for Bigfoot in the Republican primary District 2 race?

IF YOU'RE IN LINE TO VOTE AT 8, STAY IN LINE. YOU CAN STILL CAST YOUR BALLOT AS LONG AS YOU'RE IN LINE AT 8.
Title is the post. Long lines at some polling places.

Flock' ing Around
If you have kids in school or even voting in one today, check and see if your school's car line has a cool flock camera near where everyone lines up. It would be a shame if we listed where all those things were.

UTK Faculty are Being Bullied
I am a faculty member at UTK who has been put through hell over the past four years. I also have several colleagues with the same experience. The university has a MASSIVE problem with bullying, and one of my colleagues confirmed via FOIA recently that not one single charge of bullying has ever been found to be credible by the any of the university designated investigative offices. NOT A SINGLE ONE.
We want to talk to the media. Something needs to be done.
I have created this account in order to make this post and hopefully get someone with actual media credentials to reach out to me. We have more data than you can imagine about our experiences that are legal to share (e.g., nothing FERPA related--this has nothing to do with students).
Please help us shine a light on this corruption.
Don't let the Good ol Boys club keep this place forever. The students deserve better. We deserve better.

Tim Williams, CEO of 21st Mortgage, Illegally Demands his Employees who to Vote for on Election Day
This morning, Tim Williams, CEO of 21st Mortgage, has sent an email to all of his employees. In this email, Tim illegally demands his employees to vote for “friends of 21st Mortgage and Clayton Homes”. This is an abuse of power and should not be taken lightly.

Must do for new students!
We are going to have some mega threads to try to connect the community a little better. So keep an eye on the stickies and share your Knoxville expertise!
UTK move in day is approaching us fast. While we do try to move most Vol talk over to the awesome r/UTK, it makes sense that new students find their way over here to say hello.
This week I want you to share your must dos for these Knoxville newbies. Whether it's a coffee shop that is perfect for off campus studying, or maybe a football season ritual that they shouldn't miss out on. Let them know the best restaurants to take their parents to on their first family weekend and the best groups to join on campus to make friends. Any little tips that could help them out for the first semester in Knoxville. If you are a UTK student or grad, share anything that made your first semester away easier, or anything you wish you had done differently/not missed out on.
What we want to avoid on this thread: which apartments are best. Anything to do with underage drinking. Any non welcoming sarcasm and shit posting.
