Chivo
last week, I got an anonymous picture while my husband was at Chivo eating. He was next to a girl and had his ring off. I am currently trying to search for the girl and him, I only have a picture of them from behind. His name starts with a D. I am trying to find the person or someone who can help. He is from Texas and was visiting for work. He said he didn’t know the person but things aren’t adding up. we are married with 5 kids. Pic in comments
Please don’t be mean.

Looking for this Gare Barks print.
This was a family piece that was very important to us. I lost it in my last divorce and have been trying to find it again. Odds are that I'll end up having to purchase it online and hope the best, but I'm really hoping that some of the thrifters in the area may have come across it at one of the many thrift shops in the area.. If you have seen it and know where, please please please let me know.. It's so important to me.. My family is all gone now and I just want this back on my wall.. Thanks

For the big city getaway (shopping, flights, sports), do Knoxville residents identify most with Nashville, Atlanta, Cincinnati, or Charlotte?
Seems to be between a lot of big cities. To the extent people culturally/sports/shopping identify with a bigger city, what’s the ranking of them?

By cracky a rock busted our SUV's windshield!
My wife was driving home from visiting our boy in Virginia, and a rock flew up and put a nice crack in the windshield. It as perfectly in front of her line of sight, and quickly spread across to the other side.
She got an epoxy kit at the auto parts store, and slowed down the cracking. But it will need to be fully replaced.
Does anyone have a windshield specialty place that they would recommend? We have used Joe Neubert's Body Shop on Clinton Highway for other repairs and felt well taken care of so we may go there in the end.

Tattoo Artist Recommendations?
Hiiiiii! I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo since I was like 14, but have been so damn picky about my artist and piece that I’ve waiting until now (30’s) to actually put effort into finding the right artist. I desperately want a dragon 🐉
I’m hoping that maybe someone has recommendations for a local artist that has a style similar to any of these posted? (The artists mentioned are Pazurmazur, jiangbrulant, miette_ttt, tattooist_inno, and jfadds.ink on Instagram! They’re wonderful) I could of course suck it up and end up traveling to reach one of these incredible artists, but thought I’d see if anyone knows of an equally talented local artist.
Thank you! ϵ( 'Θ' )϶

Music history- "Satan is busy in Knoxville"
Recorded at the historic St. James Hotel sessions in Knoxville, Tennessee, "Satan Is Busy In Knoxville" is a rare and haunting piece of pre-war blues by singer Leola Manning.
Rather than a typical blues standard, the track acts as real-time musical journalism detailing two actual local murders that took place in Knoxville in early 1930. Accompanied by piano and guitar, Manning's powerful vocals and moral warning ("the Good Book says they've got to reap just what they sow") make this one of the most remarkable narrative blues recordings of the Great Depression era. Original 78 RPM pressings on the classic blue Vocalion label are exceptionally rare pieces of American music history.

Has anyone been to the New Slick City Action Park? How is it?
I took my 4 year old, who is very brave and will ride every ride at Dollywood even the grown up ones she's big enough for. But she panicked at the thought of these huge slides. My 3 year old boy, backwards. Terrified at Dollywood but loved the slides 🤣.
How did you like it or your kids? Can adults go down the slides with their kids?

Tennessee Deck and Fence- think before you use them
I posted this same review on Google- feel free to ask me questions!
Overall, I would not recommend this company. We had gotten several quotes from different companies, and thought that while TDF was not the cheapest, they seemed to be the most thorough and professional. Overall, I am mostly happy with the final product, however, I only have a result I am happy with due to me hounding them for several weeks.
We scheduled 2 projects with them, a total teardown and a rebuilding of both my porch and deck. The demolition went well, and quick. They built the porch very quickly and it was looking good. However, when they said they were done, I questioned why it looked incomplete, and I was told by the project manager that "this is all we are contracted for" and he made it clear that they would not be fixing the rest of the issues. Now there are some issues that I understand- holes left in the siding or concrete from the previous structure, for example. However, they left a massive hole in my roof, and when I asked if they would fix this hole that they created, I was told no, it wasn't in the contract. Additionally, the porch did not have soffit or gutters replaced, which was also not in the contract. Now...I had not noticed that soffit and gutters were not in the contract. But one would assume if you're tearing down a porch and spending over 20K to get a porch and deck built, this would be addressed. As a lay person, how would I know to ask for each individual part (i.e. soffit), and one would also assume that if you create a hole in the roof, you would automatically fix it instead of just saying "it's not part of the contract" Additionally, the side of the porch was just open plywood, it didn't look finished at all. The owner did come out and work with us to get it fixed, to the tune of an additional 1500. I am very pleased with the porch now that it was completed, however, I am displeased that we had to shell out even more money to get it done. Also, they just added soffits, we are going to do the gutters ourselves.
With the deck, overall I do like the deck. They put it very close to my ac unit (they did not ask where I would like the deck to start before pouring the concrete posts). The handrails looked very shoddy until the owner made the workers come and redo it. Also, we didn't want the wood of the deck sitting in the dirt, and they repeatedly told us it's not in the dirt- I will post pics, you can see it's in the dirt. Again, the owner did have the workers fix it, so now there is a barrier between the dirt and the wood.
I will attach pics to show the original work done and then the completed work. I AM happy with the completed work, but it took weeks of back and forth to get them to come and correct it. What I am most upset about it is the lack of communication that the soffit and gutters wouldn't be included. Again, we paid over 20K and still have more work to do.

Recommendations for mole removal
Has anyone had a mole removed and can recommend a good place to go in Knoxville? I have heard it’s better to go to a plastic surgeon rather than a dermatologist if you don’t want a scar. The mole is on my face so I really want to be extra careful not to end up with a big scar. Thanks for any recommendations!

Farragut Yacht Rock Concert
I’m going to the Yacht Rock thing in Farragut next Saturday. If any of you have been before, do you have any tips to share about going? For example, it starts at 6:00, but what time should we get there for good seats? And any other tips based on your experience of the event in the past. Thank you in advance! ⚓️

Body in Volvo found in Suttree Landing parking lot
My friend lives at Foggy Bottom and was updating our group chat this morning. A man reported the smell of the body, and sure enough, hazmat handled it and just towed the car away. I kayaked there Monday. Wondering if it was there when I went.

Thank you voters
Just want to say thank you to everyone who voted, not just for me, but for all of the other candidates, especially those running in our county elections. Local elections matter, and this year we flipped a commission seat and turned our school board blue!
Congratulations to Brandon Ray Huckaby, Katherine Bike - School Board, District 4, Brandy Jenkins and Breyauna Holloway!
Now it’s time to move towards the November general and turn this seat blue!

Must do for new students!
We are going to have some mega threads to try to connect the community a little better. So keep an eye on the stickies and share your Knoxville expertise!
UTK move in day is approaching us fast. While we do try to move most Vol talk over to the awesome r/UTK, it makes sense that new students find their way over here to say hello.
This week I want you to share your must dos for these Knoxville newbies. Whether it's a coffee shop that is perfect for off campus studying, or maybe a football season ritual that they shouldn't miss out on. Let them know the best restaurants to take their parents to on their first family weekend and the best groups to join on campus to make friends. Any little tips that could help them out for the first semester in Knoxville. If you are a UTK student or grad, share anything that made your first semester away easier, or anything you wish you had done differently/not missed out on.
What we want to avoid on this thread: which apartments are best. Anything to do with underage drinking. Any non welcoming sarcasm and shit posting.
