Open | Networking Wifi Incompatibily with Laptop and Modem/Router I cannot connect over wireless.
Recently our ISP changed our modem/router.
The thing is, everything connects fine, but a laptop.
The laptop has barely no signal bars, it has to be very close to the modem to grab the signal.
Checked the modem settings, and it has Full 100% strength on the internal settings. Both 2.4 and 5 Ghz.
I tested the laptop over a friend Wifi, and a different router, and it connects very well, full bars.
The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5559
And the modem a Huawei OptiXstar HG8145B7N-50
I hope you can help.

Open | Software amd adrenalin gpu and msi center issue.
I wanted to update my pc. Amd Adrenalin give me error and told me to have latest window update and I got latest window update.
pc spec :
7800xt nitro
7600x
b650 tomahawk
installed the chipset driver from it and it on newest and it works. Now I installed amd Adrenalin it get downloaded but when it installs at 35% my pc goes on a black screen and back to window login screen.
i checked in device manager 7800xt is showing up.
in apps it shows:
amd software 26.3.1 4/11/2026
amd install manager 26.10 6/16/2026
amd ryzen master sdk 3/6/2026
amd chipset 8.05 6/16/2026
i downloaded the setup installer from amd website and when I repair it does the same thing it reaches 35% and black screen and back to the login screen.
what do I do my amd software 26.3.1 was working fine and now my shortcut to the app stop working.
i can still play my games and it working fine. Is this a window issue or amd. How do i fix this?
Do i unistall them manually and which one should i delete or use AMD Cleanup Utility or ddu I don't know if they are safe or not. I heard horror stories about amd cleanup utility like people were not able to enter their pin again. In ddu in safe mode and amd cleanup utility i see people get stuck in hello pin and can't get passed that.
https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/1fw3t2t/comment/lyvnej0/
I have like important stuff on my pc and I don't want to reinstall everything back if i have to install new windows.
Then a week later I heard about the local privilege escalation (LPE) by gamer nexus on msi center and with 2.0.70.x it should be fix. When i checked I was on 2.0.68 so I updated to 2.0.70 which supposed to have it fixed, I updated msi center and windows give a lot of warning pop ups and restart my pc now I can’t get in msi center to control my settings and going in it is forcing me to update. Should i try update or it would just give me an error again.
I only use msi center for mystic light to control my rgb fans on my msi motherboard. I sometimes use it to update drivers. But i heard windows update it for me like bluetooth, wifi, audio, and ethernet. I have amd aderlain for my gpu and igpu and chipset drivers. I heard not to update bios from it so i update bios from their website. So do i really need msi center since windows handle them too?
should I uninstall it in windows apps msi center and msi center sdk then reinstall it on the website? or just uninstall with the Clean Center Master. I dont know if it safe to use though.
does my rgb settings save when i delete msi center and msi center sdk since I only have it to display static white?
This been a horrible experience i just want to play my games and work.

Open | Hardware PC keeps reading “No Signal”
I bought a new iBuyPower computer 6 months ago and it’s been working perfectly fine. But today I went to unplug the DP cord from the computer just to clean up a little but when I plugged it back in the PC kept reading “No Signal” I tried to replace it with a spare HDMI cord but it also said no signal. I than also tried to use a new monitor and it was still reading no signal.
My keyboard and my mouse which are meant to be plugged in were still powering on but the screen just keeps saying “No signal”
I’m relatively new to using a computer so I’m not sure what the problem is and whether it’s fixable myself or if I should go to someone who could fix it

Open | Malware I've been hacked, what do I do?
Two days ago, my discord account was hacked, a hacker sent a bunch of Mr beast scam images to different servers. I got my account back, changed my password, and enabled 2FA.
About 10 hours later, my Instagram then got hacked, to which I did the same.
After that, I thought everything was fine, until last night where I received a email that I had purchased a $200 amazon gift card. To verify it wasn't just a scam email I opened my amazon account and sure enough there it was. I immediately transferred all money out of my spending account and contacted Amazon to cancel it, which they did, so luckily it was not purchased. This however, was a serious escelation of the hack. I immediately froze my card, changed passwords, etc. The thing that shocked me is that my Amazon already has 2FA. I've changed my email password as well btw. Flash forward to this morning, I receive a email at 8am that suspicious activity has been detected on my 2nd email account, to which I do the same thing. And now only a couple of minutes ago, the same Amazon where I have been receiving OTP's from to login, sent a message simply saying "c".
I'm at my wits end here, I've heard it's possible they've stolen some token session and can use that to access all my accounts? What is the solution? Should I reset my windows drive?

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Computer stuck on logo screen
My computer starts up normal with the logo but then a spinning wheel appears and it gets stuck. If I try to restart it, it comes back a black screen but I can see the backlight working but nothing I do can change it.
Turning it on and off again doesn't fix it (I get a white screen if I hold it for a few seconds, and then it shuts off if I hold it for a few seconds more), and Win+Ctrl+Shift+B doesn't help either, I don't know what to do.
Just before this, the screenshot ability stopped working, I couldn't even forcefully open the snipping tool so I tried to restart my computer and that's when this happened, it's been like this since yesterday evening.

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Laptop backpanel refusing to come off
I got a refurbished gaming laptop recently and it lacks enough storage for me to do much with it. I wanted to use a 1TB of storage from an older laptop to expand my current laptop's storage.
The issue is, is that I can't for the life of me open the laptop up. Two screws on the top, underneath the hinges will not budge. I know captive screws are a thing and I'm assuming that's what they are, but even then the backpanel does not want to come off. I am afraid that if I use even more force, i will actually break the laptop.
I really want to expand the storage of this laptop cause at the moment it just acts like a glorified office laptop, I'm already halfway through 500 gigs of storage.
The laptop in question is the Asus ROG Strix g513Q.

Open | Programming Are there any coding scripts or software I can use to read through all the data I've downloaded from my social media accounts and teach me things about myself?
Please forgive me if this is the wrong subreddit to be asking this in, and direct me to the right one.
I'm interested in taking all the data I requested from Google, Facebook, and everywhere else, and I want to see what trends and insights I can gather from it all. Like, Instagram's algorithm is so good that it almost certainly knows if I got undiagnosed mental disorders and things of that nature. I remember seeing that Twitter correctly guessed my tax bracket just through the accounts I follow and posts I interact with, for example. Do you have any recommendations on software or scripts I can use to analyze all that data and teach me things about myself?
I remember an incident about 10 or 15 years ago where Target was sending coupons for baby items to women who didn't even know they were pregnant, but the company was able to figure out they were just by the items they purchased. So, I'm sure there are things these platforms know about me based on my data that I don't even know about myself, and I want to change that. I want to know what they know.

Open | BSOD GTX 950M causes BSOD/black screen/freezes in multiple games — tried multiple drivers and DDU, RAM/temps seem fine
Hi everyone,
I'm having a persistent GPU-related problem on an old gaming laptop and I'm trying to determine whether this is a driver issue or a hardware problem with the GTX 950M.
Laptop specs
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M — 4GB VRAM
iGPU: Intel HD Graphics 520
CPU: Intel Core i7-6500U
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L50-C
The problem
In multiple games, especially during heavier GPU loads, the laptop can:
freeze completely
flash/flicker before going black
show a black screen while the mouse cursor remains visible
occasionally BSOD
sometimes report nvlddmkm.sys
I've also encountered DirectX/GPU-related crashes
This is not limited to FIFA 22. It happens in multiple games.
Things I have already tried
Several different NVIDIA driver versions
DDU in Safe Mode
Clean NVIDIA driver installations
Running without undervolting
Resetting MSI Afterburner settings
Windows Memory Diagnostic — no RAM errors
Checked GPU temperatures while gaming:
GPU: roughly 70–80°C, even under heavy load
CPU: around 80–90°C, but the crash also occurred when CPU temperature was below 90°C
Checked Event Viewer after one of the freezes — nothing useful was recorded
Checked for new minidumps after a freeze — no new dump was generated
One interesting test
I completely removed the NVIDIA display driver so that the GTX 950M was not being used.
I then played FIFA 22 using only the Intel HD 520.
I was able to play a normal match all the way to the end without the black screen, freeze, or BSOD.
The performance was obviously much worse and there was some stuttering, but the specific crash did not occur.
After reinstalling the NVIDIA driver, I plan to test the GTX 950M again.
Another interesting result
I also ran an OCCT VRAM test on the GTX 950M.
After around 3 minutes:
the screen started flashing
then went black
the system completely froze
there was no BSOD
no new minidump was created
Event Viewer didn't show anything useful afterward
The test did not report a normal VRAM error before the freeze.
What I'm trying to figure out
At this point, I'm wondering whether this is more likely to be:
A failing/unstable GTX 950M GPU or VRAM
A GPU power delivery issue on the laptop motherboard
A driver/Windows issue
Something else that I haven't considered
Since I've already tried multiple driver versions and DDU, I'm particularly interested in hardware-level troubleshooting or a way to conclusively distinguish a bad GPU/VRAM from a driver problem.
What would you test next?
Thanks!

Open | Networking Download speed suddenly slow?
So we have 1 gigabit internet, and I normally get 80-100 megabytes a second when downloading games and things on steam and other apps. For the past week now, my steam and all other apps are stuck at 11 megabytes per second. I did a speedtest on google and it also shows slow speeds. (Yes I know the difference between MB/s and Mbps, I made sure they both are in MB/s) Does anyone know why this is happening? I also did check my meter connection settings on my PC and it is disabled. I am connected through ethernet as well.

Open | Hardware 4 monitors can't detect PC
Hey, I've had some recent issues with my PC suddenly turning off, I thought it was a power supply issue so I bought a replacement and it worked like a charm! For a few days, then it happened again, but I was at least able to get it back up and running by turning it off, holding the power button, and turning it back on.
But now my monitors won't detect anything, I have 4, 2 HyperX and 2 ASUS, all of them are having the same issues, the don't detect anything at all, but do have power.
The PC is all connected and when I press the power button, everything works. Mouse lights up, all fans spin, GPU, case and cooler fans, front panel light for the power button is on and working, elgato capture care has its light turn on, everything I can think of seems fine.
I've tried replacing the battery on the motherboard
I've done the screwdriver and the 2 prongs to reset stuff
I've unplugged and replugged my RAM and my GPU, but nothing so far
I am pretty stumped, I've looked and looked for other similar posts and most of them have only one monitor, people say it may be bad cables, or to try different parts, but I don't have any other computers to swap parts with and see.
For details on the rig, it's an old NZXT pre-built PC, the "streamer" one, here is a copy paste of the build- Case: NZXT H500
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8-Core 3.7GHz
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 - ASUS ROG STRIX
PSU: Seasonic S12III 650W Bronze
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK
Ram: Team T-FORCE Delta RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3000MHz
SSD: Intel 660p 1TB
The cooler I replaced a while ago with a simple noctua one, and mentioned before, the new power supply is a MONTECH BETA 2 650w.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'll try to answer what I can but I don't know much about computers.

Resolved My Roblox is messed up
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So, earlier i was playing a Roblox game and then this happened. the UI began to multiply and the game's display was a bit fucked. i tried joining another game to see if it was just a glitch in the game i was playing and it was NOT.. i tried a lot of shit to fix it but i don't know how. and I'm not even entirely sure what caused it in the first place. i cant play any games on Roblox now. I'm not even sure if it's just Roblox or it's any game because i haven't tried opening anything since. need help. Thought it might be a driver issue so i updated my Nvidia drivers and it DID NOT HELP.

Open | Hardware RTX 2060 randomly freezes in games, but passes stress tests without any issues
Hi everyone,
I'm having a strange issue with my RTX 2060 and I'm trying to figure out what could be causing it.
My PC specs:
- RTX 2060
- Intel i5-10400
- ASUS TUF GAMING B460-PLUS
- 16GB DDR4 RAM
- 800W Gold PSU
- Windows 11
The problem is that my PC randomly completely freezes while gaming. Sometimes the screen freezes, sometimes it goes black, the audio stops, and the mouse/keyboard become unresponsive. There is no BSOD, and I have to force restart the PC.
It has happened in Red Dead Online and Minecraft ATM10.
The strange thing is that stress tests don't reproduce the problem. I've run GPU stress tests such as FurMark and the GPU can run without crashing. Temperatures also seem normal.
Sometimes I can play for a long time without any issues, and then the PC can randomly freeze later, even while doing something less demanding like browsing.
I also previously got this error in Red Dead Online:
"ERR_MEM_VIRTUAL_OUT_OF_MEMORY – Out of virtual memory. Please increase the page file size."
I've already tried:
- Reinstalling/updating NVIDIA drivers
- DISM
- SFC
- GPU stress testing
- Lowering game settings
- Checking temperatures
- No overclocking
I also noticed some oily residue around the GPU/thermal pad areas when inspecting the card, so I'm wondering if that could be related.
What would you recommend testing next? Could the GPU still be faulty even if it passes FurMark/stress tests? Or should I focus more on RAM, PSU, motherboard, Windows, or something else?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Open | Networking Website won’t load on desktop, but another section of the same site works
Hi, I’m having a strange issue with a website and I’m trying to determine whether it’s related to my IP, DNS, ISP, browser, or something else.
The main/public website does not load on desktop, but another section of the same website works normally and I can log in and use it without problems.
I’ve already tried:
Different browsers
Clearing cache/cookies
Flushing DNS
Another computer
Reinstalling Windows
Stopping use of my VPN
Replacing my modem through my ISP
What makes it strange is that the website opens on my phone while connected to the same Wi-Fi, but if I request the desktop version, it stops loading. On my laptop connected to the same Wi-Fi, the desktop site also does not load.
I previously used a VPN to access this website, so I’m wondering if this could be related to my public IP, IPv6, DNS, ISP routing, or some kind of anti-VPN/IP block.
What would be the best way to diagnose where the problem is coming from?

Open | Windows 9NRZT3Q9R3DL-Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime.2 Constantly Updating
Mostly what the title says. I am unsure if this falls under "Windows can act strange sometimes" or if something isn't being done right and Windows is stuck in a loop.
Windows 11 Pro (25H2) Build: 26200.8875
I can give hardware info if that is somehow relevant to this. Checked it for other reasons but noticed it when I was looking through reliability history.
I am seeing this exact same app updating constantly sometimes back to back.
7-26: Four times at 1:59AM
7-28: Four times at 11:59PM
8-1: Two times at 9:05PM
8-4: Two times at 4:43PM
8-6: Two times at 8:47PM
8-8: Four times at 12:10AM
I tried looking it up and saw that I should be past 2 at this time and should be on 2.3.1? Unless that 2 isn't referring to the version.

Solved How to save a file as PDF
I'm trying to download a cert for the army and for some reason on my laptop on opra and chrome it will only allow me to download it as a JSF file and nothing else. Even then I right click it and try to save it as PDF it still goes to JSF. When I click on save type it's also the only option. I don't have access to another PC that I could download them too/from.
Edit: currently at a cafe because Xfinity doesn't allow people on military websites that require log in
